Hi Phil, I am 78 years old and look forward to your videos every week. I feel we have a lot in common, I am a turner, mostly bowls, my dear wife of 58 years passed away in 2021, we watched your videos together. Our daughter was born in 1965 and we almost named her Stephany, but settled on Daphne instead. So my friend when we visit on Wednesday or Thursday evening for the few minutes please know that I like the things you do, your reviews are always interesting, and wood turnings are so good, I have tried to copy alot of your work! So my friend thanks for culling the scam offers but for the legit reviews, for sure I for one, and probably many more will be happy to watch!
Wow what a small world. I , too, am 78 years old, lost my wife of 57 years back in 2021. I got into bowl turning because my wife enjoyed them so much. I can’t think of anyone I would rather watch than Phil. His mannerism and teaching ability is top notch. I also lost a son in 2022 almost a year to the day of losing my wife. Another son had a stroke in September 2022 and is completely bed ridden. Phil makes my Thursday.
I too am 78, but am not a turner. I started my watching experience with this channel! I started knowing the bare minimum about turning and have thoroughly enjoyed learning about it! and I love the conversation! (The other dissimilarity is that I am a woman who has been divorced for almost as long as you were married!) So, Phil, I love your channel, I even like the reviews, and look forward to seeing what new creation you come up with every week! 💕🌷
Love your channel Phil. You do you! We have the freedom to watch your videos as well as not watch! Some people are just plain silly! Stay warm and keep sharing!
You are my Captain Eddy. I started turning 5 years ago during a rough patch, and not only were you my favourite turner, your kind, gently self-deprecating manner brought me much peace. You do what is right for you. You've earned it.
Phil, you are one of the most honest and sincere people I have ever watched. The is nothing wrong to give opinion on a product. I love your videos ( wood turning or product reviews) . Keep up with the wonderful videos! Thanks, Scott
You did this burl proud, Phil! It's a lovely piece with much to catch your eye. Well done, as always! Do your product reviews and enjoy the rewards of your channel. You teach us and entertain us every week with your turnings in wonderful ways. It costs us nothing but time. So, go for it! Thanks for being there for all of us!
Hi 👋, those sanding devices look great from Tuffy, An hour or so, after watching you, I was watching Jim from Sprague Woodturning, and he was saying he had problems trying to get inside a vessel that he was turning, mention your channel, and I couldn’t remember who the person was that you’ve got your sanding device from, so I had to come back and watch yours again, so then I went back to gym and told him about Tuffy Martinez, and I’ve just been back to the message I sent to him, and he has put a reply, thanks, Stay safe, keep up the great work,
I love this channel. I have never turned a piece of wood in my life, but when I retire in 5 years I intend on taking a class to see if I actually like it and want to buy my own lathe. You make such beautiful pieces of art and you make it look so rewarding. As for the product reviews, as long as you are honest and up front about what the video is, I don’t see any issues. Thanks for the videos!!
Don't wait. If you wait 5 years and you do like it, you will have wasted 5 years, and everything will cost at least 11/2 times what it costs now, and I mean everything. Just drink the cool aid and don't look back.😅😂
Good looking bowl,, as for the reviews, I don't mind them at all. If it's something I might be interested in I watch it, if it's not I skip it. Bought my laser after a review by Gord Rock. I expect those that I subscribe to will give an honest review and point out both positives and negatives. I believe these reviews will be more honest than what I see on ebay or amazon.
Phil, very nice work up. I turn and enjoyed watching what you are making from a piece of God's handywork. You did an amazing job on it. Thank you so much for sharing your passion.
I love this piece. When I first started watching your channel you did turnings with gaps, inclusions, etc. I always like those best. "The Workman is worthy of his hire". You have provided me with so much FREE entertainment that I am very happy to hear that you can make some money or in other ways profit from your efforts. Rock on Phil!!
I think people are just jealous. They can't get things for them. if you enjoy doing the review for the product and don't have to pay for it you should be able to without negative feedback as you said, they don't have to watch it love the work you do. Have watched every video you have and will continue to do so you are one of the biggest reasons I started to turn wood Keep up the good work mate 👍
I would listen to you reading a bus timetable Phil. Love ALL your videos, including the reviews. I say take anything that's offered as long as it interests you, people always have the option NOT to watch. Your work is great and I watch all your videos despite not being a wood turner, keep on keeping on. Best wishes x
I’m not sure how many years I’ve been following you and your videos. I do know this, they’ve always held my interest, mostly because the videos are like sitting with an old friend while he does what he does. Thank you for your hard work!
First, as to the product review videos. For me, I will look at (at least) part of a product review. If I find it interesting, I watch all of it. If I don't I give a thumbs up and exit. About 50% of them I do find interesting. Second, I have never watched one of your turning videos that were not great. This one clearly was a challenge, and it turned out great (as usual). Between you and Gary. I wait each week for your next surprise. Both of you have health issues, but still there is a video on Thursday (you) and Friday (Gary). Never stop, we ALL just love it. ;-)
For several years, when I heard the words "mask and face shield on", I knew I was going to get a good lesson on wood turning. You have made hundreds of videos over the years and have asked for nothing other than requesting folks to subscribe to your channel. Now, there are vendors asking you to review their products. This is one of the biproducts of putting out great content. So, IMHO, you are entitled to reap the benefits that you deserve from giving many viewers a free wood turning education for so many years. Your patience is legendary. Your courage is rare. Your appreciation of natural beauty is boundless. Your manner is relaxing to watch. You are truly a master. Keep up the good work.¡
Sir, I love this channel and I’m not a wood turner. I/ we watch because of you. Your good at what you do. You take time to show the human side if you. Thank you! We have watched every video and enjoyed them all. We look but generally because don’t say anything because we are novice at best and really want to be‘a. 😊 We do watch your reviews and we don’t buy lol we have no room. Please know that there people out there like us, we care but we are quite 😉. Say what you want to say, review and comment on whatever you want!! If they don’t like it they can move on. Thanks for all you do. Take good care of yourself.
I have learned nearly all I know about turning from Phil Anderson. I get nearly all my inspiration from Mr. Anderson. I heard about some folks calling you a sell-out for demonstrating equipment on the channel. I most emphatically disagree with those folks. This gives me a better look at who you are. If these things are part of your life and you feel they suit you in your retirement MORE POWER TO YOU. I've never heard you talk about anything as gospel. All comments are "In my opinion/experience". Those are honest. You are reviewing a product for the benefit of our understanding. It is as if a friend is showing me his new "toys". I had never heard of a Sandoflex until I found your channel. It has been a wonderful tool and gives impressive results. I would never have attempted some of the most challenging turnings without seeing you work. Your contribution to my enjoyment of turning is immeasurable. Watching during COVID helped save my sanity. Your talent and personality have been a joy in my life. IVD
Mr. Anderson, you made a fantastic bowl! It BEGS to be held and looked at ❤! Your delivery and honesty likewise beg to be listened to! Do the reviews as you are doing them now. The ones you want to do and you want to share with us. Respect.
Phil, I say take every advertisement you want, if you like their product show us, some people are crazy to expect you to only do what they want. Great video amazing piece. See you next video.
All I can say Phil is you do you, and the heck with what anyone else has to say. Our reasons for doing what we do is therapeutic. At least it is for me, and I know I'm in a better place because of it. With that said. I've been known to do a lot of Cherry Burl turnings, and they are by far the hardest pieces to do. It's just now my favorite time of year for my wife and I to go out hunting for Burls. Now that hunting season is over. I only hunt for dead standing or on the ground Burls because of the drying process. I've learned to keep a couple feet on either end to reduce the cracking. Awesome piece Phil and happy turning my friend ☺️
Looks great Phil! I think that is the biggest bowl I’ve seen you turn since I started watching a year or two ago. It’s nice to see others struggle as much as I do on roughing out bigger logs. They seem to take forever! Also, I say go for it on your product videos. I think your philosophy on the process is spot on. I’m an avid mountain biker and a young 56 years old so I see the value in getting people outside and moving.
Phil, keep on being you and doing what you do. Let those who are jealous of you and what you do leave. Your integrity shows in all you do. Wouldn’t miss a turning.
Love it, Phil! Always LOVE you and your turning videos. They are always uplifting to me. I think the way you do product reviews is perfect from the labeling of them, to being selective about what products you review, to your honest feedback. I’m not sure why anyone could complain about it. If they don’t want to see a review, then they shouldn’t watch it. Simple, and drama free! Speaking of which, I love how you go with the flow in your wood turnings. You’re definitely a valuable part of my weekly routine. Thank you!
Hi Phil! I've only been turning for about 4 years, and now retired, so I have even more time! I can't tell you how much you personally have taught me! It's not just what you say, but watching how you do things has been a great help. I don't always comment, but I _never_ miss a video! There's about 6 turners on my weekly list, but you are first. This piece is beautiful and I really appreciate your product reviews. If it's not something I want, I still enjoy your presentation. I have actually bought due to your reviews. The wife and I have been looking at e-bikes, so l enjoyed your first review and looking forward to the next! Sorry to be so wordy. Keep up the great work and many thanks for all you do!
Love this woodturning, Phil. I especially like the gap. That adds a special feature. Glad you had a glove on the turning the outside, I believe it saved your hand from injury. Beautiful grain.
Last I checked this is Phil Anderson's channel. You put on what you think will work for your viewers. It seems that social media has become unsocial and people think that they can run someone else's business from their couch! I will keep watching what you put on. I love to listen to you telling us what and how you are making beautiful bowls including this one. I have learned a lot from you. Thanks for sharing
I got to tell you, this is one of my favorites that you've done. I appreciate how you can see in your head how you want it to end up, then plan how to get that done. Almost magic. I am curious sometimes how close the end product is to the way you actually pictured it. This one is one of those. It ended up a master piece.
I do have an idea of what I want to do but the end product often exceeds what I thought it might be. Once in awhile, it disappoints me, too, or rather, I disappoint me. Well, it's all fun getting there! Thank you! 😊
I love seeing you tackle difficult pieces and somehow creating a great piece! Thanks for noting in your titles when you are NOT woodturning, but reviewing!
Hey Phil, Happy New Year to you and yours. That is just a beautiful piece. One day I would like to find a burl and go to town making a bowl. As you know - Great things take time. Us retired folks have a little bit more "time" in our back pocket to use when needed. Watching your videos, a no brainer, for me. So those who want to unsubscribe because of different content then they don't know what they are missing. All of your videos are first rate! Keep em coming. Have a safe and healthy New Year!!
I love Thursdays because your videos drop onto TH-cam. Your work is fantastic! As to the review videos, do what you think is best. We don't live your life, and we don't walk in your shoes. We as viewers are here to enjoy what you share. Even if you did get paid, who cares? I'm just glad you take the time to teach us and share your gift. Thank you!
Your persistence paid off again, Phil. You found a BIG bowl this time and it is beautiful as always. Regarding your product reviews--I remember watching your review of the Vevor Button Maker. You were like a kid in a combination toy store/candy store! Back in the mid to late 1970's I worked at a Bible Camp and we used a Badge-A-Minit press to make buttons for the campers. I had a great time doing that and I still have buttons that I made for myself. Your reviews are fun for me to watch because your crazy sense of humor comes through as it does in your turning videos. Keep up the good work!
Phil, this is an absolutely beautiful piece of art. I love it. People don't believe how long it takes to make a great piece like this. I hear, you worked on that for a week or two weeks. It really takes time to get the beauty that belongs to a chunk of wood. I love watching all of your videos and wish I could get someone to offer me an electronic bike, or a laser. I turn 70 soon, and as an old woman to an old man, get it while you can. Thanks again for your videos
Mr. Phil, you're a swell fellow. You go on and do reviews of whatever you want. I probably won't watch them, but that is okay. Right? I love to see your turning and listen to your explanation. It's all so interesting to me, and I have learned a lot. Thanks for everything.
Phil, you are the best and give me inspiration for those difficult pieces that I see potential, but have no earthly idea how to approach. I'm 59 and started turning when I retired a couple of years ago and am hooked. You were one of the 1st woodturners that I subscribed to and continue to watch your videos EVERY week. Thank you for all the inspiration, laughs and the beautiful work you do. Ignore those that just don't get it. I learn something every time. - Tulsa Oklahoma
What a stunningly beautiful AND unique piece of art!!! Your work is inspired to see what you see in a blank piece of tree and then create this kind of work. THANK YOU!
What a gorgious chattoyance! The piece looks like an oyster from the inside. Thank you for showing the heavy hits on the gouge at the beginning at normal speed, so I could see I'm not the only one having them. Other turners provide the impression of easy cutting due to increased speed.
Another beautiful piece Phil. Please don’t let those 1-2 negative Nelly’s bother you. I love all your turning videos. I’ve enjoyed most of your review videos as well. Keep on doing what makes you happy. The vast majority will continue watching and enjoying your content. As you say, folks always have the option to not watch if they’re not interested. As for me, being another content creator, I’ll be watching.
Great project. I'm glad you left the hole in the piece. It really adds character. I also loved the grain, especially the interior grain. It almost looks like the surface of the brain.
Phil, I always enjoy all of your videos. I too am self taught and have learned a ton from watching your videos, along with many others. Keep doing what you love and we will continue to watch! Awesome burl piece here. Love it. Thanks Phil, for all you share! Be well!!!
I started watching Capt. Eddy years ago. He got me started turning again after about a 20 year lapse. I used to do architectural turnings - mostly columns up to 12 ft. Built my own lathes in those days. Interesting stuff but not a lot of fun. Now I just do fun stuff. And thank you for showing these videos. 😊
I'm glad you like it, Tom, thank you! Yeah, patience is required on a piece like this. I think that comes with age. I'm about as patient as possible! 😊
Thankfully Colin gave this burl to you to turn that beautiful piece. Others would have filled it with coloured resin and turned away all the interesting bits. Thanks Phil and continue to do the reviews you find interesting. 😊
Phil: just love this piece, the inclusions, bark, swirls and whirls are such eye candy! I am today years old when I finally understood what you meant by “clearance”!! 😂 The joys of TH-cam is the watcher is exposed to ideas, products and information from the content providers, so you do you. I do confess that some content providers feature a lot of endorsements but I always keep an open mind. Or just fast forward past what isn’t relevant to me. I doubt I’ll ever get to do wood turning myself but I sure do enjoy watching you!
Stunning piece of art Phil. The burl is an amazing piece of wood. I don’t mind your reviews, you have always showed integrity and entertaining during your videos. I trust your judgment. Go for it, if someone wants to send you a free item that you want or need 👍👍👍 ❤❤❤
I love watching and listening to your explanations of what is happening. I so grateful you have had your health restored because of all the pleasure you bring.
Isn’t that a wonderful burl, I have to say my heart was in my mouth till the end hoping it stayed put , looked real heavy . The patterns inside that bowl are gorgeous. Thanks Phil .
Love what you had to say Phil. There are so many videos that others are always advertising something. You do amazing work. I've learned a lot from watching your videos.
I’m a painter 77 years old. I lived and worked in New York City, raised two children, for 35 years. I really enjoy your videos and I think your priorities are truly art worthy. Let every element assert itself and behold the results! As to where your mind wonders and what it finds to consider….the more the merrier
That's a busy beautiful burl bowl! Thank you for putting in all the extra time it took to get this one finished. Mostly what I kept seeing in the bowl was at the bottom on the inside; that ropy loopy look kind of like brains! It looks really neat! As far as review videos go, I watch the ones that interest me. End of story. Thanks, Phil!
Good morning, Phil I just found your channel, and I am really enjoying it. I did a lot of lathe work in Jr High, but my school would not allow us to work on wood like what you work on All we were allowed to use was squared off material I am really learning a lot about your turning abilities Keep up the great work you do I am looking for a lathe now so I can get back to turning different materials like you are Thank you, Terry Akins
Ah, yes, I remember those Jr. high days and sympathize, Terry. Kinda boring materials and process. But, hey, it got us interested enough to remember! I hope you are able to get into woodturning, it's a great hobby and if you turn the kinds of projects you are talking about, you will enjoy the experience and the comments about the uniqueness of your projects you are sure to get! 😀
One of the better ones I think. I have now given up turning because of age and health issues. My equipment is going to your neighborhood for a son in-law to use in his retirement years. I told him to watch some of your videos for a few tips .
Thank you, Warner! I'm sorry to hear this. But, you know best. It's good to know your tools will brighten someone else's life! Coming to my neighborhood? Interesting! 😊
Hi Phil you do what you like I love to see your reviews of some products good you don’t take up everything that comes along. I ll still enjoy what ever you do for a video ❤👍🏻
Phil I am 75 this year I watch your videos whenever I dont let the naysayers try to test you I believe you are an excellent commentator and for one I have actually learned quite a lot from your videos so thanks
Phil another great job. You take a piece with no possibility and turn it into something just beautiful. I really appreciate the hours you spend making such beautiful pieces. Thanks for your time. Hope you continue to feel fine
Phil as long as you give reviews that are honest and don't let the people sending you their equipment to test to influence your reviews is the main thing. I'm sure you'll give your honest opinions on the products! I've been thinking about electric bicycle and liked your first review and can't wait for the next one. The bowl came out beautifully. The grains are amazing. When you got the bottom flattered out I knew it was going to be something special. Again thanks for sharing with your TH-cam family Phil
Thank you, Doug! Some of the companies want me to agree to let them see the video before I upload it. I never agree to that, it's just silly. If you want my opinion, fine, if you want your own opinion, don't bother me! 😊
That’s a beautiful piece. You managed to maintain the natural beauty and the gap adds character to the overall work...which is very well done. Great job Phil, very impressed. You didn’t over work the piece. This piece displays a perfect balance between nature and art which to me is the most beautiful. Great work my man.
Hi Phi, Terry Meek here and this is a gorgeous bowl. You are so talented. I haven't been on for awhile due to health problems. I am back now and so glad I am. Keep on turning.

Well, would you look at that! At 76 I'm the baby in the group! LOL!
How about making a sander on a swivel congratulations your bowl looks awesome ❤great work
I have never turned at all till 2 years a go I love it ❤ ❤ 😊 😊 😂
It's a great hobby! 😊
Why could anyone care Phil? I think it's a good idea to share what you like. Most of us, not all like the channel for what it is. And that's you Phil.
Thank you, David! 😊
Love your channel Phil. You do you! We have the freedom to watch your videos as well as not watch! Some people are just plain silly! Stay warm and keep sharing!
I appreciate that, Caroline, thank you! 😊

This is so cool and means more to me than you might imagine. If I have helped you learn to do anything, I'm honored and humbled, thank you! 😊
I’m 80 and have just started turning. I love your videos.. Don’t change anything!
Glad you're enjoying the videos, Barry! I'm not planning on changing anything anytime soon. 😀
Phil, you are one of the most honest and sincere people I have ever watched. The is nothing wrong to give opinion on a product. I love your videos ( wood turning or product reviews) . Keep up with the wonderful videos! Thanks, Scott
Wow, thank you, Scott! You make me sit up all proud and stuff! 😊
Phil, you should because you take an interesting piece of wood and turn it into a piece of art. Thanks
This piece has an amazing amount of character. There are wood spirits still living in it!
I think you are right, Nan! 😀
You did this burl proud, Phil! It's a lovely piece with much to catch your eye. Well done, as always! Do your product reviews and enjoy the rewards of your channel. Your patience is legendary. Your courage is rare. Your appreciation of natural beauty is boundless.
Your manner is relaxing to watch. You are truly a master. Keep up the good work.¡

Wow, such a kind comment, Ramona, thank you very much! I really appreciate you taking your time to watch! 😊
IVD
Thank you very kindly! 😊
Mr. Anderson, you made a fantastic bowl! It BEGS to be held and looked at ❤!
Your delivery and honesty likewise beg to be listened to!
Do the reviews as you are doing them now. The ones you want to do and you want to share with us.
Respect.
Thank you kindly, Clayton! 😊
The burl bowl is BEAUTIFUL!!! 👍👍
I'm glad you think so, thank you! 😊
Phil, I say take every advertisement you want, if you like their product show us, some people are crazy to expect you to only do what they want. Great video amazing piece. See you next video.
Wow, as it turns out, you are better! LOL! Thank you, truly, for your comment! 😊
Good info, Edward, thank you! 😊
I see a bird , wings up and back like a hummingbird..live watching, Denise , Nottingham England .
Love watching!!!
Cool, thank you, Denise in the home of Robin Hood! 😊
Phil what ever you do is just grate, don’t change Anything!! You hear us loud and Clear I hope .have a great day.
Loud and clear, John, thank you very much! 😊
I love the product reviews. In fact I have bought some of them if I needed them. Thanks Phil, love the channel!
Good to know, thank you very much! 😊
Phil please stay true to yourself. I have watched you for years. Love what you do. Your work has always inspired me. Keep being you.
I appreciate that, Arlene, thank you! 😊
That burl has a wonderful character to it , great job on turning the beautiful piece of wood 🪵 , thanks for sharing it 😅 !!
Thank you, Clarence! 😊
Cool, thanks, JR! 😊
Phil, keep on being you and doing what you do. Let those who are jealous of you and what you do leave. Your integrity shows in all you do. Wouldn’t miss a turning.
Thank you! 😊
Thank you!
I really appreciate this, Robin, thank you very kindly! 😊
I really appreciate this, Garry, thank you! I hope you do decide to get e-bikes. The two of you will have fun adventures! 😊
Love this woodturning, Phil. I especially like the gap. That adds a special feature. Glad you had a glove on the turning the outside, I believe it saved your hand from injury. Beautiful grain.
Thank you, Russ! Yes, that glove has save me a few times! 😊
Thank you very much, Jeff! 😊
Beautiful piece. Love the grain and bark. 😊
Thank you! 😊
That’s a Burl with a lot of personality! Great job Phil!!
Thanks!
Thanks, Kelly! 😊
You are so welcome! Thanks for your great comment! 😊
Thank you kindly, Dave! Happy New Year! 😊
Thank you!
Thank you for your very kind comment, Cynthia! 😊
You are so kind, Crystal, thank you very much! 😊
Yeah, it took awhile, Jean. 5-6 days, I can't remember. It was exhausting and I think I lost my memory! LOL! 😊
You do you. Love your skills. Gather all the abundance you can. I enjoy your videos and I'm a 74 year old knitter who loves handwork.
Good for you, Nancy! Busy hands, happy hands! Thank you! 😊
A beast of a turn. It turned out amazing, beautiful grain and love where you came through the side... 👊🏽
Yes it was! Thank you, Ethan! 😀
you are so lucky to get that burl, i am jealous !! thanks, BM, AKA , Woodbutcher
No doubt about it, Bryan! 😊
Mr. Phil, you're a swell fellow. You go on and do reviews of whatever you want. I probably won't watch them, but that is okay. Right? I love to see your turning and listen to your explanation. It's all so interesting to me, and I have learned a lot. Thanks for everything.
Perfect, Kathryn, thank you! 😊
Thank you so much, Ladonna! (pretty name!) 😊
I really enjoy your turnings Phill. You leave as much of the bark and natural parts of the tree as possible. Very nice and a lot of work.
Thank you, Dave! 😊
What a stunningly beautiful AND unique piece of art!!! Your work is inspired to see what you see in a blank piece of tree and then create this kind of work. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much, Mike! 😊
What a gorgious chattoyance! The piece looks like an oyster from the inside. Thank you for showing the heavy hits on the gouge at the beginning at normal speed, so I could see I'm not the only one having them. Other turners provide the impression of easy cutting due to increased speed.
Agree, Kerstin, or marble looking, too. I like oyster, though. 😀
its beautiful Phil, enjoy your bike and ignore any negative comments in that regard 😀
Thank you! 😊
I appreciate that, Doug, thank you! 😊
Great project. I'm glad you left the hole in the piece. It really adds character. I also loved the grain, especially the interior grain. It almost looks like the surface of the brain.
Lots of brain comments, Steven! 😊 Thank you!
Phil, I always enjoy all of your videos. I too am self taught and have learned a ton from watching your videos, along with many others. Keep doing what you love and we will continue to watch! Awesome burl piece here. Love it. Thanks Phil, for all you share! Be well!!!
Cool, thank you! 😊
Fun stuff is the best stuff, Jonny! 😊
Man, you have some serious patience!!! The grain in that burl is just killer!!! Great job and I look forward to watching more of your work.
Thank you so much! 😊
I’d describe this piece as colossal. Looks so interesting. I could see myself studying it for hours, enjoying its many features. Great job once again.
Thank you, kindly! 😊
That belongs in a showcase! Beautiful!
Thank you, Mark! 😊
Phil: just love this piece, the inclusions, bark, swirls and whirls are such eye candy!
I am today years old when I finally understood what you meant by “clearance”!! 😂
The joys of TH-cam is the watcher is exposed to ideas, products and information from the content providers, so you do you. I do confess that some content providers feature a lot of endorsements but I always keep an open mind. Or just fast forward past what isn’t relevant to me.
I doubt I’ll ever get to do wood turning myself but I sure do enjoy watching you!
Thank you for you kind comment! And, I love your name! Not sure what it means, exactly, but it's amusing all the same! 😊
Stunning piece of art Phil. The burl is an amazing piece of wood. I don’t mind your reviews, you have always showed integrity and entertaining during your videos. I trust your judgment. Go for it, if someone wants to send you a free item that you want or need 👍👍👍 ❤❤❤
Awesome, thank you, Maddie! 😊
It's like taking a rough diamond and working out the best cut ❤
Yes! 😀
I love watching and listening to your explanations of what is happening. I so grateful you have had your health restored because of all the pleasure you bring.
Thank you so much, Rose! 😊
Isn’t that a wonderful burl, I have to say my heart was in my mouth till the end hoping it stayed put , looked real heavy .
The patterns inside that bowl are gorgeous. Thanks Phil .
Thank you, Bev, I'm so glad you like it! 😊
You're a whole old man with a whole man's interests. You're not just a wood-turner. I like your opinions about e-bikes, too.
I appreciate this, thank you! 😊
I love the size, the textures, and the chatoyance! Gorgeous ❤I’m only 54 and I adore your channel.
Thank you so much, Christine! It's nice to have some of the younger crowd join us! 😊
As you hone your skills we hone ours. Thank you for educating us.
You are welcome, thank you for watching! 😊
Love what you had to say Phil. There are so many videos that others are always advertising something. You do amazing work. I've learned a lot from watching your videos.
Thank you, Carroll! 😊
I’m a painter 77 years old. I lived and worked in New York City, raised two children, for 35 years. I really enjoy your videos and I think your priorities are truly art worthy. Let every element assert itself and behold the results! As to where your mind wonders and what it finds to consider….the more the merrier
Thank you! 😊
Several comments about brains in this piece, Gwynn! I must put on some glasses to take another look! 😊
Yours is my favorite turning channel, I like the way you stop the lathe and explain all the steps you take to do the finished project
Awesome, thank you! 😊
Once again you have amazed me. That chatoyance is out of this world. Thanks Phil!
You are welcome, Brenda, thanks for watching! 😊
You seldom get pieces so big, but it became marvelous, a real beauty!
Thanks, Erik! 😊
Beautiful bowl!! I saw a dog and a bird. How exciting that you are getting a new bike to share with your family! Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
Thank you so much, Diane! 😊
Thank you Phil, I enjoy all your videos whether it be wood turning or a review. You just keep doing you❤❤
Thank you, Jeanne! 😊
WOW, that's a hefty looking bowl! Another amazing piece.
Thank you, Virginia! 😊
That’s a big bowl. I like all the different things that you see in the bowl as you turn it.
You never know what’s in there waiting to get out.
True enough, Ronnie! 😊
We like who you are and what you do. If you keep doing what you like we will be happy. Just remember it’s who you are that’s most important.
Thank you, Robert! 😊
What a beautiful work of art!!! You NEVER disappoint Mr Phil!!! Thank you for sharing your art with us!!!
My pleasure, Jonathan, thanks for watching! 😊
Brilliant bowl gouge bravery becomes beautiful burl bowl, bravo!
Haha, thank you! 😊
Good morning, Phil
I just found your channel, and I am really enjoying it.
I did a lot of lathe work in Jr High, but my school would not allow us to work on wood like what you work on
All we were allowed to use was squared off material
I am really learning a lot about your turning abilities
Keep up the great work you do
I am looking for a lathe now so I can get back to turning different materials like you are
Thank you, Terry Akins
Thank you for saying when you sharpen! As a new turner, I appreciate it. It helped me to realize how often I actually need to sharpen.
Glad to help, Ryan! It only takes a minute and not only makes the gouge more efficient and safer but, it's just more fun to use a sharp tool! 😊
Hi Phil you do what you like I love to see your reviews of some products good you don’t take up everything that comes along. I ll still enjoy what ever you do for a video ❤👍🏻
Thank you, Wendy! 😊
Product sampling is just part of the game. More power to you.
Thanks, Monte! 😊
Phil I am 75 this year I watch your videos whenever I dont let the naysayers try to test you I believe you are an excellent commentator and for one I have actually learned quite a lot from your videos so thanks
I appreciate that, Ray, thank you! 😊
Phil another great job. You take a piece with no possibility and turn it into something just beautiful. I really appreciate the hours you spend making such beautiful pieces. Thanks for your time. Hope you continue to feel fine
Thank you very much, Dave! 😊
I'd watch any kind of video you want to make. You are laid back and a pleasant voice. Keep turning and reviewing!
So kind of you, thank you! 😊
Love the bowl. Your commentary is entertaining, so don't stop.
Okey-dokey, thank you! 😊
@PhilAndersonShadyAcresWoodshop absolutely true Phil
That’s a beautiful piece. You managed to maintain the natural beauty and the gap adds character to the overall work...which is very well done. Great job Phil, very impressed. You didn’t over work the piece. This piece displays a perfect balance between nature and art which to me is the most beautiful. Great work my man.
Thank you very kindly, Jaydee! 😊
Hi Phi, Terry Meek here and this is a gorgeous bowl. You are so talented. I haven't been on for awhile due to health problems. I am back now and so glad I am. Keep on turning.
Welcome back and good news, Terry! Thank you! 😊
What a beauty Phil!! Loved watching this. Had a cup of coffee, and put my feet up and watched you create art.
Cheryl
Just the way I'm reading and answering comments, Cheryl! 😀
Phil you are the only reason I started turning I just hope one day to be as awesome as you are!!
Wow, cool, thank you! I hope you are enjoying the hobby! 😊
Love the grain on the inside of this bowl. Gorgeous
Thanks so much 😊
