Ever since I saw a guide on how to get all vampire traits where the entire strategy was to just start in Egypt, I have never chosen another start location since.

I have two to add:
- Canada (wealthy, cold, and low population density. Not ideal)
- peru (your plague will start with cold resistance which won't help get into the hot countries surrounding the place)
I always pick Finland!

Greenland is not real
I don’t really play Plague Inc, so i might sound stupid, but on paper, Greenland sounds like a pretty reasonable place to start. Yes, it might be just be some cold island, but if you see that from another perspective, that can actually be a good thing as when you start, your virus is used to the cold. And all you need to do to infect another country is to get water 2, and then move on.
Best place because this will guaranteed your victory

That is all good information but I once did 2 runs starting in Saudi Arabia and they both lost because Greenland never got infected then I picked Greenland and won that round☕️🗿

Just tested out and I can say The Phillipines is a do-not-use-as-starting-country-in-plaugeinc country. The moment it was noticed, the virus in the game I made just started spreading (right after the phillipines noticed it!)
imagine if the philippines was a good location cuz of that 25% filipinos living under the poverty line, easy to infect
