Most teas will turn out bad and bitter if you boil the water. Only a few like black tea require the water to be that hot for it to turn out well. Most teas are made at lower temperatures, so the water would still be subjective to bacterial contamination.
And while that will handle most bacteria, letting it sit and cool again opens up avenues for other airborne strains to recontaminate the water. Standing water is never completely safe. Basic high school microbiology. Granted that is highly unlikely to pose a threat, but that wasn't my intended point.

I used to be in the top 3 on the leaderboards for this game for a long while after it came out. None of the top players use genetic hardening or reshuffle, you can kill the entire world well before they research a cure, the general strategy is pick up a few transmissions, then start upgrading your symptoms, prioritising symptoms that are none lethal and increase infection, devolve any traits that are lethal at this point. When about 1/2 to 3/4 of the world is infected, start increasing lethality but don't make it extremely lethal as it still needs to spread, when the entire world is infected you can then devolve all the transmissions to pick up more points for lethal symptoms. This basically works because as soon as they start dying their ability to create a cure diminishes to nothing, so it's better to spend the points on infecting and killing rather than actively trying to prevent a cure.

Tea is made of boiled water, so depending on the disease, tea would be safe.
Most teas will turn out bad and bitter if you boil the water. Only a few like black tea require the water to be that hot for it to turn out well. Most teas are made at lower temperatures, so the water would still be subjective to bacterial contamination.
Prince Dragonix you do realize you can boil the water, let it cool to the temp appropriate for your tea and then brew it? It’s not difficult...
And while that will handle most bacteria, letting it sit and cool again opens up avenues for other airborne strains to recontaminate the water. Standing water is never completely safe. Basic high school microbiology. Granted that is highly unlikely to pose a threat, but that wasn't my intended point.

- Spiff on brazil
He is techinically right, but Brazil isn't a rural country like the game says it is
Brazil itself isn't poor. There's loads of money in the country and loads of resources. It's just that the majority of the population never gets to see any of it.
It was the 6th world economy until ~2015 so no, it's not a poor country.
@@spwol
Well, it's mainly a rural economy and political system, where there is more bovine cattle than human cattle in the country and both serve the same masters focusing on exporting wealth to live in their own bubbles while the bankers and media line up to help. Plus, besides the state capitals most cities are quite small compared to their European counterparts. Not that I agree with the game, just pointing out that the country of gado being rural makes sense as far as the modifier goes, higher infectivity based on cattle.
Brazil does have a large economy, but it is very unequally distribuited.

Hmm actually that is a good idea
