I have nothing to prove to anyone. 40HP is plenty for me! And it’s affordable. What’s not to like?

I have no doubt these will sell very well in the U.S. I would wait to get a demo bike so you don’t pay another $1,200-$1,400 in dealer fees.
I see one flaw - chain on the right behind the exhaust. Can you say pain in the ass chain maintenance and adjustment?
Personally, for the $1,000 less I’d buy the Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
Cheaper parts, maintenance, and general upkeep. Plus it cones with a center stand! I’d put C-Bow system side cases on it, a front windscreen, and call it a day.
I think it’s just a matter of time and RE will put the 411 in then and drop the 350 (if they were smart). Granted, it’s maybe only a 5hp upgrade but the engine is bulletproof.

Great video Dan! Sounds like a lovely bike, so refreshing to enjoy your reviewing style again, and for me over here in the antipodes I just love seeing the gorgeous Spanish roads and surrounds.
Congrats on surviving your first bike launch, hope it's the first of many for you. As a non-biker I enjoyed your "novice" perspective. A pretty unique perspective surely, which makes the content interesting for bike casuals like myself also.

Have you got out on one back in the UK? Or a long term loan I think spec wise it ticks a lot of boxes as a new rider bike looks good and if the dealer back up is good should be a big success.

@@kenj.8897 yes, the Triumph accessories I like are the small windscreen, center tank pad, luggage rack, and the high mud guard.
Not sure if upgraded seat is worth the expense, but it does look sharp.
I want both the upper and lower engine bars. Still not sure if the upper one comes with the bike. The reviews from India say that it does. I still can’t get a straight answer on that.
I also like the bullet style turn lights. Again not sure it’s worth the add on price.
Luggage has been a big thought and I believe the Mosko Moto Reckless 80 will solve all my needs with a Triumph specific Cruz Tools kit in the Fatty Tool Roll.
For Navigation I will be using the REVER App with my IPhone on a Quad lock mount.

Hello! But do you feel any issues yet. Though the product is great.
Here in India many owners are having issues like Stalling, RPM Fluctuations on idle, Alloy bend, Engine noise. And Brand here are not acknowledging it fully. We would like to here if any issues there. I know its too soon for you to feel as pretty new rides.

Stalling seems to have been fixed with the last ECU update. I did not notice the fluctuating revs on idle post that update either. Never heard of alloy bend or engine noise issues so far. For a first batch product, ownership has been relatively stress free so far.

I haven't heard anyone use the word 'raz' since about 1989! I shall probably be buying the Speed or its taller twin, Scrambler, brother as my first 'proper' bike. I was considering one of the Royal Enfield 350s, but at half the power, I've lost interest - not that I'm a speed demon by any means. Far from it. That bit of extra juice nonetheless is tentilising.

Thanks for the feedback and a reasonable point. My logic - such that it
is! - would be that when you’re having a conversation with someone you
do it face to face. I did my chat for the Scrambler 400’vid (coming soon)
on forward facing so will have more of a bias to that in that vid. Take a look when it comes out and let me know if the balance of camera angles works better. Cheers!

Having the majority of the riding portion of the video facing you is a weird choice. Seems the ratio of facing you to rider's pov should definitely be switched.

      @midlifecrisismotorcyclist  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thanks, you're not the first to say it. My thinking was it's a conversation with the viewer so, naturally, you'd do that face to face. But perhaps as you say that balance needs to be the other way. Shall try that for future vids so let me know what you think.

@@pajownik It will hit 100mph. That's plenty of speed for me. Back in the day, a 40hp bike would have been considered pretty powerful. A Triumph Bonneville from the 60s only had 46hp. I had a 1966 Honda 305 Superhawk with 28hp. It was considered a fast Japanese sport bike in its day. I have a Speed 400 on order, and expect it will fulfill my needs quite nicely.
