OMG, this was such an ENTERTAINING, not just instructive, session! I know nothing about this and 90% of it was Greek, but because I was just diagnosed with condylar resorption on one side, at 60 yrs old (ugh), I am interested and googling and found you! So glad!! Would love to me you in a cocktail party, you're a hoot! The Salt Water Taffy. ha ha I will watch this more than once! Thanks so much for posting!!

Dr. Mickiewicz SAVED MY LIFE. Had other things going on in addition to TMJ. Thorough new patient imaging caught it. Been a happy Patient since about 2004 or 2005. Now, I must move to Idaho and quite concerned about my future care. Perhaps, I'll Fly in if I can't find a good referral for my Splinting.

What if there was a way to stop the disc sliding down the condyle? Could we keep a salvageable disc up and stop it in its path down the condyle?

I find nothing works except keeping your mouth in a closed position and stationary (no movement), teeth not touching, and eating on the left side. If I do this the joint and disk heal themselves. If you see these live action cadavers with condyle movement you can see why this approach works, because it avoids the condyle moving forward to the temporal bone as you open your mouth. The aggravation is because the disk might be gone or it is so thin it creates tension. I don't know what's wrong, but I do know I am giving my joint a rest when I stop moving it all the time. Also never sleep on your side. My right side is damaged, my left side is good.

In short, the pain is telling you to stop moving around. Think of it like a cast. You break a bone so you need a cast for 3 months. Just like your TMJ needs to heal itself by remaining stationary. Put your TMJ in a cast by as little movement as possible. That is what the pain is telling us.

@@Parture did yours ever heal? I am so done with these dentists. 1st dentist told me it will go away, 2nd dentist told me i need invisalign, 3rd dentist referred me to another dentist... then last i have an appointment with an oral surgeon.. Not sure how helpful is he going to be and maybe wants to cut me. Mine only started 2 months.

@@toxicwaste920 There is really only one thing that works: the dividing of your spirit, soul and body. So if you get lost in The Spiritual Man you will be healed. But the problem is most people in your condition or mine is that we do not devote ourselves 5 hours a day reading this 700 page book on the dividing of our spirit, soul and body.

@@toxicwaste920 I know this may be hard to believe but the pain you are experiencing is not physical. Yes, through physical, you are experiencing pain, but it is just a symptom because you, and I, are unwilling to experience the dividing of our spirit, soul and body. Like I said how to do that is according to Heb. 4.12. Get lost in that 700 page book, the best that has ever been written on the subject. It is the most important verse in the Bible. If you want a miracle you must allow the miracle to to take place.

My jaw goes off track and I have to do all kinds of moves and massages to get it back moving again. Need help desperately.

@@pac714 Yes… thank you for asking. My genius dentist finally made an appliance that stopped the locking up. That’s what was happening, locking up. I said “going off track” was the only way I could describe the feeling. Was very scary for sure and I’ve been fine since it stopped. Muscle spasms is what it was and they were severe and happening constantly. Thank you for asking.

If you got TMJ and it becomes bone on bone and the condyle head starts eroding. How can it be treated?
