Celebrimbor and Annatar were by far the best in the entire series despite the flaws that even their segments had. I had misgivings about Edwards, but I shut up when I saw him in season 2. Vickers has always been solid.
Well done. Whilst I personally loathe the Show, I can still appreciate the opinion of someone that has elected to take a stance and promote aspects that they find engaging. This is a tough thing to do for controversial topics, as it carries the risk of blacklisting the presenter by those blinded by rage (real or imagined). Carry on good Sir, I trust you have the backbone to withstand trolls easily enough and as long as you do not sell out your personal morals, you will do fine and go far. :)
I will agree with you on set design and music. There might be aspects of each that I quibble on (elven towers that crumble so easily?), but overall those are the two aspects on which I will give the shows a thumbs up. But the character design... can't do it. But to each their own.
I agree completely, I try to stay positive when there’s so much negativity, and a lot of the negativity I think is just kinda trendy, but I also know there’s a lot to criticize I’m not gonna say it’s perfect 😂
You can try man, and your positive sentiment is great. But there were zero writers who loved LOTR. There were money grabbers and money grabbing people who pretended to love LOTR, thats it. Literally nothing else.
casting for sauron might be one of the best casting decisions charlie absolutely kills it and watching his annatar is awesome
I do like his performance, the only thing I’d say is weak sometimes is the writing, but he still makes it work
@@nerdspire yeah i keep performance and writing seperated i be seeing that too thoi

The "NOOOOOOO!" Darth Vader edit is amazing 😂
The true test of this show will be in ten years when people who watched it when they were 12-16 are adults and able to remember it.
I agree, kinda like us with the LOTR movies
@@nerdspire Precisely!

That’s one of the kindest things I’ve seen on TH-cam, thanks for being awesome!
Ended?
Ended?
Well it got that Sauron was a moron.... Sadly, the 2nd age is the one era where he's actually competent.
I wish Charlie Vickers got a better script.
Well that’s fair, I can respect that sentiment

Hey no problem fair enough, where do you think the character design is weakest
The elves have vastly better character design in the Hobbit trilogy than in this show. And I don't think orc designs in that trilogy are that bad.
@@AsierEtxeberria fair enough and I COMPLETELY agree with the elves having better design in the Hobbit
"Never have read the silmarilion" that explains why you have more shympaties for this abomination
Sympathies*
And I’ve read a lot about it but I am not gonna read any of the books tho that’s not my thing personally
I'm enjoying the show. All of the negativity make it less likely that other great books will get movies/ series.

@@nerdspire I don't think he meant it positively. It was sarcastic
@@nerdspire to hear you even mention perfect and this atrocity of a show is hurtfully angering
I don’t think it’s perfect lol
@@nerdspire is correct. Not perfect; more of a slow burn, but entertaining. Definitely more good than bad.
It’s a no for me to 90% of the show… I hated it
I respect that

I understand and respect that idea completely, overtime I’ve also come to this realization
I like thst sauron wasnt evil just misunderstood. Everything else is trash
I can respect that
I came here just to post NO!!!!!!!
All the same I appreciate you being here lol!
