- Where in the world is the Switch 2? In the most recent Nintendo Direct, we saw that Nintendo is still releasing Switch games into early 2025, so it seems like the successor to Nintendo’s greatest console is further away than we thought. But just how far away is it?

No offense to anyone but else but damn you’re right. More than half the folks talking about Switch 2 got that Berdly energy.
We have a new Zelda Switch Lite coming out as well, i thought the new console would release March of next year as i figured it made sense but maybe we all are wrong in that aspect.

Does anyone have any theories what year mario Kart X is coming out? It feels like it should be a year 2 title or a year 1 title since we hadn't got a new mario kart game in 10 years, but it's most likely going to be a year 2 title

Thank you at least someone understand that mp4 could not be simultaneously launching on ns2 and ns, because it is a niche game... but again I am pretty sure the ns2 will be announced around March for launching on October (like the Wii) no reason to rush and they want to let a chance to their last game.
Reveal is in the jan to March window.
Release is in the June to Sept window more likely closer to June then sept.
This is made obvious by trailer drop and vague date of 2025 for Prime 4.
DK release has Jan spot. This means Prime 4 is the big March end of year start of next fiscal year game. Nintendo wants to get as many sales of Prime 4 on OG switch as possible. In order for this to happen we need at minimal a 6 month gap before succusseor . So this puts Switch 2 in atleast a 3 month or more after Prime 4 time frame so that being June- Sept.
Mario's new 3d game launches Switch 2 and Nintendo will wait for the inhanced DLSS Prime 4 version till closer to holiday 2025. Nintendo cant reveal switch before Holiday 2024 or they may get a weaker q4 of the 2024 fiscal year. So a post holiday reveal is smarter. Also not to mention Nintendo has atleast 2 unknown holiday 2024 games for Switch we dont know about yet.😊
The real tell will be prime 2 and 3 release on eshop.
Simotanious release or gap release both have to happen in 2024 or that pushes prime 4 to back of 2025.
Most likely simotanious eshop release around sept or oct. This is the real tell we can determine switch2 on

I really hope they don't try to make Pokémon Z-A as their console seller, I think that would be an awful pick. Game Freak won't be able to show off the new hardwares power, with how inept they are at developing 3D games. SW/SH looks like it could play on the Wii for Pete's sake.
Gamefreak has been using the same engine they made for the 3DS to make Switch games. Also graphics are not their main focus either.

Furukawa President of Nintendo said on May 7th "We will make an announcement about the successor to Nintendo Switch within this fiscal year."
Well, fiscal year in Japan starts on April 1st, so that means that switch 2 trailer date ranges from April 1st 2024 at earliest to march 31st 2025 at latest.

The March was correct. It was the year that was an issue.
Mr. Furukawa stated that he will announce the next generation console by the end of Nintendo's fiscal year. That implies that Nintendo will most likely announce it some time between January 1st and March 31st. We can assume that Nintendo wants to have another good holiday with the original Switch.
If they announce the switch 2 before Christmas, they’ll weaken their Christmas business. So they shouldn’t announce the switch 2 before Christmas 2024 is over.
wait another Christmas season. Sell as many switch consoles and switch games as possible. And announce the new console in Jan/February with a summer release.
I have the bad feeling that the next Nintendo console is going to be a failure, and not going to be powerful enough to keep up with the technology for the next 7/8 years.

You know what I’m glad that someone actually isn’t click batting for once instead you are here spitting stats and facts and your own opinions unlike other TH-camrs that won’t stop lying like Mike Oddessy who keeps using info that isn’t even related to switch 2 😂 like a random patent of a controller and saying oh switch 2. What people don’t realise is some patents are ideas for switch controllers even some that are dropping now.
Switch 2 will drop in 2025 I am 95% certain it will drop before summer 2025 because Nintendo wants to try and grow hype and it’s easier to do that if the console is out before holiday season.
I think launch titles will be;
1. Metroid prime 4
2. 3D Mario
3. Probably TofTK or BofTW remastered if not both and maybe TofTK will have some extra content to make people buy it for switch 2
4. I think animal crossing will come 2 years into switch 2 cycle.
5. Smash Bros (don’t know the next name) but will probably get a new game 2 maybe 3 years in
6. Mario kart will get a new game probably 1 year after release and will break many boundaries for a Mario cart game.
7. Pikeman will probably get a 5th installment like a year or 2 in
8. Splatoon will probably get another game 😅 like a year and a half in maybe 2
I think there’s a lot more but these seems the way Nintendo will want to open switch 2
Edit: forgot to say Pokémon ZA will be dropping on switch 2 because they stated at the end of the trailer will be dropped on “Nintendo consoles 2025”
This sounds like factual announcements Nintendo might do,and switch successor will look differently,and have new features.The controllers might be different.
