- Benzak Denim Developers have just dropped their take on the classic Trucker. It takes design cues from the archetypes from both Lee and Levi's. But it achieves something else. There is enough brand DNA in there that it is a "Benzak jacket". You can trace its ancestor. But it is an individual unto itself.

That is true actually. It’s a proper classic. Tellason workers jacket is also a modern classic.
I do have RTG, Tellason and three IH jackets, I also collect vintage jackets, trust me I just received this jacket it’s so perfect I could not believe it.

Beautiful, unique jacket. Only downside to these designer demin companies like Benzk is the $$$ - especially considering Levi's classic truckers per se can be had for a fraction of the cost.
Actually it also has cues from the Wrangler pockets that are bigger more rounded as well.. I think GStar, Lucky, Diesel, Levis Engineered denim, and a few Japanese companies have some new takes on the “trucker” or just new styles of denim jackets in different lengths, fits, colors and types of denim and stitching embellishments that are very cool and classic because they still retain the shape..but without being overly trendy.. I can’t stand acid wash, fake aging rips, holes, fraying and the look of bleached spots, or white chalk crap.. I do like the waxed denim, the reversed side denim, and the colors and textures of cross hatching weft, mixing with hemp or even a little stretch and lighter weight raw materials.. I love denim sport coats, western style shirts.. I have one in a fantastic denim but in a traditional western style that is so well tailored by Sandro of Paris.. Another black waxed denim shirt slightly western style with awesome pearly black diamond snaps by Kooples, and my dressy denim by Lanvin en Bleu.. It’s a slightly silky denim so light and fine that looks almost like linen and silk and is so well tailored off the rack.. not really western because there’s no snaps.. regular classy buttons with the top button in french bleu..incredibly the 48 EU size is my exact measurements..and perfect tailoring that feels custom made..20”chest, 17”shoulders, 23”sleeves, 26”length..perfect length for a small untucked fit.. All denim or flannel (another passion is super flannel) shirts should have straighter hems less curved U shapes and lengths 27” and under because most of us don’t tuck casual button down shirts.. and I never wear suits or dress pants..just denim, corduroy, waxed cotton/canvas, leather, flannel, chambray or wool..Anyway thanks for the new stuff ✌🏼🙏

Been wearing another benzak jacket more. I wear that about 2 or 3 times a week. And wash regularly.

Hi, does this denim shrink after wash, my size denim that is XXL length is 28 inches make no sense bigger size should not mean longer length, correct? Also if this denim stretches a bit I can go with XL any suggestions? Thank you

I really rate my 15oz Ironside jacket from Bravestar. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts if you ever consider buying one. The price point is ridonculous for the level of quality, the construction and the detailing.
Brave star is a brand I want to check out. But getting it over here in Europe is really tricky. High import and the guys don’t seem too keen on helping out with the shipping if there is a problem. It’s like, we’ll send it but if there is an issue then it’s on you. Makes me a bit reluctant.
@@CeeAreDee shipping to UK isn't bad. I've had no problems with about 4 items with customs costs ranging from £0.00 to £30.00. Either way, it's still much more reasonable than a lot of brands out there for selvedge. Not sure how shipping will differ to where you are. You're Germany aren't you homeboy?

I have a great Belstaff corduroy jacket that is a cross between a trucker and chore jacket that also has a collar like a sport coat.. like Barbours Lutz jacket but more boxy and in corduroy that gives it a very casual elegance..
And a waxed cotton 6oz that has trucker/chore/motorcycle jacket style with two big chest pockets, black micro corduroy collar and cuffs in denim blue by Barbour International, summer baffins.. It’s just too big because they described it very wrong on their website..
The waxed jacket is also another iconic staple that is work/lifestyle gear that is also very fashionable..
I have to replace the Lucky Brand denim jacket I sold because it looked great but was too tight in small but medium in their brand is too big, sleeves are also too long.. Small is still 26”.. What is the best jacket for my build? It’s frustrating because I see so many on EBay..Lee rider is my favorite vintage but I’m not sure if the fit is correct.. But the modern selvedge rider is fantastic..and only $300🫤yikes!! I’m a frugal artist so I’ll have to find a bargain..✌🏼

I always do that slim the legs, but remember you should only do it from inner side, get your favorite jeans and match it
Never alter those pair of vintage...I mean what's the point of buying it.....You would have got skinny jeans at fast fashion stores!

Yeah, it's amazing. Quite stiff at first then beds in. Fades are coming out slowly like on all jackets but I think I need to give it a wash soon anyway, this will bring the fades out nicely. Thanks for the kind words.

Not yet man. I’m trying to decide between the Lee 101 and the Benzak. The reason I’m thinking about Lee as well is because you said the Benzak is on the shorter side. And I dont want it to be too short for my liking. But if you said now that you love yours it couldnt possibly be too short 😂

Railcar fine goods, makes a fine denim jacket
I love the chore coat they do. But I feel the denim jackets are a bit too much towards the trying to do something unique thing. It’s all personal taste for sure but they are not so much my thing.

I only own one denim jacket, and while I love it, i very rarely wear it, can never figure out what to pair it with since I'm rarely out of jeans, and can't bring myself to go double denim!
It's a Tellason Jean jacket, not ever heard of the brand before, but it seems decent, made in the US from now defunct cone mills denim. I snagged the jacket for a silly good price too, talking sub £60!
If I can ever sort out some Chinos or some nice grey/black jeans, I can see myself starting a nice denim jacket collection.
Gray jeans helps make the double denim look work for me.
I just go down the heavy denim shirts, 14oz and up. Use them as an overshirt, it slightly changes the double denim look.

Never come across a full on denim t but plenty of indigo dyed ts which are a horrible idea. One season when I was working for a trade show, we were sponsored by Momotaro and they gave us a whole load of indigo t shirts for the middle of summer. All our staff were blue in an hour 😂
I wish there was indigo dyed boxer briefs.😉

I think my jeans are edging ahead in numbers right now. Either I need to get rid of more jeans or get more jackets. 🤔
@@CeeAreDee like I said, I don't like to buy used jeans, so I have 4 pairs ( 2x2 of the same ) of jeans but jackets come in more easy ... but I buy them by price and look just, not collecting.
Sadly 90 percent of market is Type 3 rip-off and rest is based on Lee or Wrangler !
