- What we have here is the Blue Flame broken twill denim from Benzak. We have it in the B-01 and B-03 fit and we have it in the BDJ-03 style jacket. I’m excited to dive into these pieces for a few reasons...
But before all that. Let’s talk about broken twill. I have been meaning to cover this for a while and just haven’t had the opportunity. It’s not all that common.

Directional twill denim (left hand or right hand twill) have the potential for leg twist... But! The vast majority of denim is sanforized and during that process there is a step called anti skewing. This essentially removes the twist from the fabric, so you won't really experience leg twist unless the fabric is unsanforized. Note that anti skewing isn't perfect so there is a small potential for leg twist to still occur. With the invention of anti skewing, it essentially rendered broken twill denims obsolete. But it still carries its historical value and as an alternative to left and right hand twill denims. For denim lovers it's always nice to own a good pair of broken twill jeans.
I've been into denim for a while, but your channel pushed me into getting my first proper pair of raw denim jeans, and now I'm hooked... The more of these you do the more pairs of jeans I want that I cannot afford, it really is an obsession!

I have a freenote cloth type 3 jacket in a broken twill that i love. Its my favorite type 3. I love the way that they hid the hand warming pokets, it makes the jacket look extra clean and hits that old big e style of the type 3 from before they had the pockets. Then the boken twill hits that wrangler itch and for me its a perfect modern interpretation of a really classic design

@@CeeAreDee That would be amazing! Thank you! IF ( and I know that's a big if) the jacket has similar dimensions to their current jackets, I'd be about a large. But then I guess just taking the dimensions of their current jackets and translating it to this one could also work. :D
Am I the only person obsessed with Wrangler Cowbut cut slims? Great for work but also they look sweet af when they fade. Broken twill too.

Do these run true to size? Looking at the size guide the 29 measurements match those of my size 31 japan blues (which fit me perfectly). Seems like sizes run large.

Hey I found a deal on a pair of BDD 006 New w out tags, Size 33 but there isn’t a model Name or number hidden on them Anywhere, (from what I can tell). I know they came unwashed cuz they did shrink quite a bit aft a quick soak, Is there any way to tell what they are? A tag or number I’m missing?

I have a broken twill from the swedish brand Indigofera.Produced in Japan and sewn in Portugal.
Indigofera is great, one of my favorite brands right now. I like that their clothes doesn’t just look like you’re cosplaying 50s.

Have you worn any of these for long enough to start getting fades? I have just started breaking in my first pair of blue flame BT B-01’s and can’t find a single picture of these jeans!
I actually ended up returning the blue flame jeans in the end. It was a case of way too many jeans to fade at the time. I kinda regret it to be honest 😂
