    Can I get into an IE job with other degrees? Absolutely! I double majored in aerospace engineering and economics then started my adult professional career as a federal 0896 industrial engineer. It was boring at first but years later I'm working on a Master's in Project Management having experience in cost analysis and requirements. IE rocks.

    What are the names of books behind you?
    Simon Sinek- Leaders Eat Last
    Travis Bradberry & Jean Greaves - Emotional Intelligence 2.0
    Sebastian Junger - Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging
    ...
    These are what I can see.
    And you should make a video like "Must read books for IE".

    Thank for sharing this wonderful video! I was looking for an advice, after graduating from high school I studied a bachelor's degree in criminology and security studies, I knew that was not for me but due to some influences I did it, now am not happy with my field and would like to pursue my dream which was to study industrial engineering. Currently am 28 years old. Do you think I can start now? Thank you!

    Do u have to be good with IT and computers to be an IE. I don't like coding programming etc

    • @aubri118
      @aubri118  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Eltayeb Diab Hi, you don’t have to be really good at it but you will most likely have to take some coding classes. For example, your introduction to engineering classes ( that all engineers take) you will have to do Matlab. And then in your specific IE classes, they usually do Python, VBA , or R. You will also do some sort of simulation class ( Arena, Minitab) it’s less coding but the logic behind it is the same.

    • @eltayebdiab2819
      @eltayebdiab2819 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aubri118 so with no experience at coding at all would I be able to cope with it? Thanks😁

    • @aubri118
      @aubri118  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Eltayeb Diab You definitely can! I had no experience with it and I was fine. The thing with coding commands are easy to pick up, the hardest part is the logic behind it. Don’t be intimidated! They will teach you everything you need to know.

    I’m thinking about pursuing a industrial engineering degree. I did dual credits in highschool and got my associates degree in applied science and welding certificate by the time I got my highschool diploma. I am now late getting in this semester but I have a college visit sept 11. How long did the college side take? And is there a demand? Thanks! I love the vids I subscribed and will be following along!

    • @aubri118
      @aubri118  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Reece! Typical IE major is structured on a 4-year path with an average of 16 credits per semester. However, I found that more people graduated in 4 1/2 - 5 years rather than the typical 4. To be honest, that is very common in Engineering to do an extra semester or extra year. This boils down to the individual and how strong they are in certain subjects.
      There is a demand for IEs! The field is very versatile so there are many opportunities. Which path specifically do you want to pursue? If you are not sure yet that’s perfectly fine.
