    Maybe you should make a video about "What is Industrial Engineering". Also a video that tackles about plant layout something like that. This is just my suggestion hehehehe. Good luck and God bless on your journey. Keep safe! Thank you for sharing your day to us. It motivates me and makes me more curious about IE.

    What would you say the % time of working at your desk vs walking around and observing is on average?

    • @MarcusRangel704
      @MarcusRangel704  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If had to put a number to it I would say it was 80 percent in the desk and 20 percent walking around. Of course I was an intern perhaps if I was not it would be a little more observing and walking around doing audits, but it was still great assisting my manager whenever I had the chance!

    How can I have a conversation with you? Particularly about the trajectory of going from a regular UPS worker to working IE for UPS.

      Shoot me an email or follow me on my LinkedIn and message me there! Just search up my name Marcus Rangel and I should pop up.

    My husband is taking a hands on test is there any suggestions on him passing the test? It’s for buildings and systems engineer. He was a hvac mechanic before and this is completely new to him

      I work in BaSE as a supervisor. The test has LOTS of welding. So let him make sure he's on his welding game!

      @masonkissel9299 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I work in BAsE as well. He should be fine as long as he can weld, grease barrings, trace wire, use a wrench, and follows UPS lock out procedures and PMI instruction.

    Cool video man, what gpa did u need to get this internship?

    • @MarcusRangel704
      @MarcusRangel704  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! .....and my gpa at its lowest was a 3.1 but throughout the semesters i got it up to 3.4. I am not a big fan of needing the highest gpa to land an internship....its more about what value you bring to a company. Advertise your skillsets to a potential employer and they will be able to tell a lot from that. So work on your skillsets as these will help you a lot to stand out weather it is work experience, specific technical skillsets, or perhaps some other soft skills such as being able to communicate clearly in front of people which is something i have seen decline over time. Find that niche and try to be the best you can in that. The rest of the stuff will follow such as a desired internship. Apply yourself FIRST before applying to all these other places.

    I m looking for job as industrial engineer , any recommendation or job enterview,?

    • @MarcusRangel704
      @MarcusRangel704  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I recommend building up your resume and social networking. You must find a way to stand out from the crowd and only you know what that will be. If you are asking about job interviews....i recommend doing a little bit of research in that company and practicing interview questions prior to the actual interview. If you are simply looking to apply, i recommend using all of the giant apps out there and websites that help you search for a job if not look to go to career fairs in your area that could give you a boost as well. I hope this helped have a blessed one.
