I have pictures of my side profile from almost 10 years ago. The lower part of my face is smaller and less defined than it used to be for sure. Having my wisdom teeth removed and periodontal disease is probably what caused it.
I hope more and more people learn that removing teeth causes the bone beneath them to shrink for about 6 months to a year after.
I'm not so concerned about my face shape as I am the TMJ and swelling from lactic acid build up causing numbness in my cheeks and pressure on nerves… I never had face or neck swelling, or throat and neck pain before the wisdom removals.
It's gotten better now, but the last couple years really sucked…
Agree. My jaw has become smaller and my ckeeks have sagged slightly after wisdom teeth removal. Now I wish I had known about palate expanders before removing them 😔

One major thing that affected me from this is something I just realized two weeks ago. I have been struggling with pain when I talk or sing ever since. It started a few months after the fact, so I didn’t think the two were connected.
Apparently they are. I realized that if I can get the underside of my chin to relax, where my throat and base of my tongue meet, and gently shift my jaw I can sing with no problem at all.
I place my hand on the side of my face to feel what my jaw is doing and put my thumb under my jaw to feel for tension. After I relax my tongue, I open my mouth and shift my jaw while vocalizing until I feel it become easier.
It’s a process, but it’s super effective and works immediately. I just need to strengthen the muscles for some time and then I don’t even have to think about it.
Kind of a random thing to share, but I’m so excited about it. I want the world to know, so people dealing with this can finally get some relief.

HOLY SHIT, I did have a crooked nose before, but I don't have it anymore, the only problem I have is an overbite, but I'm okay with it.

One cheek is parallel to the nose and second is not, i have assymetrical pelvis, shoulders and neck. My posture is bad too, thats the reason I guess.

I am curious to know Dr. Mew"s answer too. My wisdom teeth fixed themselves eventually and grew out properly ...by the time I was almost 40. (A dentist wanted to extract them when I was in highschool. I was too affraid of the operation and never went through it. I had very crowded teeth then, and I have very crowded teeth now.) My wisdom teeth never caused tooth- or jawache though. I might be a special case?

Everyone has uneven ramus.The right ramus is always slightly like 3-5mm taller than the left one. Even handsome celebrities like George Clooney, Alain Rithson , Roman Reigns, John Cena and top models have the asymmetry.

If mewing doesn't work then you'd have to do bimaxillary advancement and possibly a lamellar split osteotomy, or cheek implants, or carefully placed Radiesse filler.

Dr, currently my age is 25years old. And, i used to have slightly overbite. & outward protruding face (which I don’t used to like). But after orthodontic treatment (4teeth extracted)(2017-2019), within 1year my face got nicely sculpted & chesiled jawline.
But now after 3-4years of treatment, my face has started to droop again, it has started to recess downward, (making me look old & ugly😢).
I want to know why my face has started to look droopy & old? Is it because I’ve my 4teeth extracted in the past??

If your upper jaw grows forward then you will be able to move your lower jaw/chin forward. The reason you have a recessed chin is because if recessed maxilla
