as the parent of a kid who is not allowed to watch youtube and somehow is still obsessed with prime (hydration, mercifully, not energy), i am dreading the day my kid comes home asking me to start packing a lunchly for him.

I remember in elementary school being jealous of other kids with lunchables not realizing how good I had it with my mom making my lunches with real food. Thanks, Mom!

Yeah, funny enough when i was in elementary school i had lunchables. But a few years later i saw on how unhealthy they were, and also how much lead is contained within them, however, i took action into my own hands and learn to just make breakfast and lunch myself.

I'm not sure anyone is attacking them for "trying to create a successful influencer product." They're being rightfully attacked for aggressively marketing a product to children that is not in any way good for children. It's sugar, sodium, and fat (and possibly also lead which has been found in Prime before) in colorful packaging. If we can rip into cereal brands for marketing sugar bombs to kids, there is no reason we should not be allowed to rip into these three equally guilty people.
Yeah, that and Prime has already had like two or three recalls for lead being in the product.

As a Norwegian, the whole concept of a company stating their product is better than a named brand from another company is mind boggling (it’s illegal here).

If KSI, Mr. Beast and Logan Paul are making a product that should be a clear indicator as to stay very far away from said product.

Hopefully people are staying away, because I see Prime at the Dollar Tree, and even for $1.25 it's still not worth it. It's not worth free, actually. But I bet Dollar Tree bought all the unsold bottles from bigger grocery stores, because they couldn't sell it. Just a guess.

When I heard about Lunchables for the first time (I'm from Germany) I was so shocked that this is considered to be a lunch for children. It doesn't even look appetizing at all and I can't imagine that it can give you any energy for a school day. Additionally, children learn that this is "food" instead of learning about a healthy diet. No surprise that the obesity rates are rising whenn people eat this from early on.
To play devil's advocate - healthy food is expensive, so I grew up *having* to eat unhealthy food, and not all schools have free lunches for children. The problem isn't just that Lunchables exist, but that lots of people cannot afford a lot of healthy food (especially specific categories, like fruits and vegetables).
I’ve tried it a couple of times. It certainly can’t qualify as lunch in any way. It feels more like a snack (tastes like it too). I thought it tasted fine at the time, but never really wanted more.

Obesity reates are rising in Germany, too, and a lot of children here grow up with oh so healthy and nutritcious nutella for breakfast, promoted by our national soccer team. Lets not kid ourselves into thinking the reasons for the health crisis in western countries are so simple.

I understand why you'd think the criticisms leveled at these creators for trying to create a successful product are unfair, but I think the key is the actual influencers involved. With Mr. Beast already in the spotlight for marketing lotteries at kids and hiring convicted child sex criminals, and Logan already in the spotlight for scamming his (mostly child) fans and using litigation to cover it up, I think the concern people have is the attitude/care these people ACTUALLY have for their child fanbase.

To be honest, I think he's got too much going on.
Between the TH-cam content and the businesses the dude is probably stretched to the point where he literally cannot quality control much of anything.
Paul's got his own issues that don't stem from such overstretching, but I think Jimmy would be better off if he just toned his ambition down a bit.

I do think a problem is with legitimate, healthy, cereals. A lot of kids don’t wanna eat them.
I think Dr.Mike has a good point, we cant critize Lunchables when a big part of the industry dont respect the healthy basis requirements for kid's meals
They're not the reason the problem exists but they want to become a huge reason why it will continue. They clearly only care about money but they're acting like they care about kid's health.
At the end of the day they only care about what you give them in return not about the customer at all

One major issue I don’t see being brought up enough is that due to the involvement of these popular influencers, kids who had never eaten lunchables will beg their parents to have lunchly like their peers. So many kids who would not regularly have Gatorade or hersheys would line up for prime or feastables just to be cool in front of their peers. Influencers are very powerful on young minds (I know so for myself; remember fidget spinners?)

Lets face it. The product's target consumers are young kids who are their fans. Healthy, tasty, or not, kids will buy these up, and the three know this. Its just another revenue to them.

I’ve seen Lunchables before, and now I’m seeing this huge Lunchly controversy. I’m glad that you, Mike, are non-biased and simply speaking about the facts. Honestly, I hate the ideas of both Lunchables and Lunchly. Both are significantly unhealthy, but just in different ways. They still may be healthier than school lunches (I watched Super Size Me and I’m pretty sure they mentioned school lunches being even more unhealthy than fast food), but they’re still not ideal. Especially not all the time. If someone’s going to make a product like this, they need to put things that are actually healthy into that product. Thanks for the information, Mike!

Litterally I looked up lunchly nutrition facts and was baffled. I was also wondering why there calories were so low as if they wanted to put kids on a diet.
Having never heard of Lunchly, I thought it was gonna be significantly worse just because Logan Paul exists in the trio. Somewhat surprised it's just comparable rather than being total trash.
I grew up eating Lunchables and all sorts of gross (but delicious) 90s/2000s kids foods. I was malnourished and didn't start to understand how to eat actually healthy food until my 20s. Then I gained weight and almost completely stopped being hypoglycemic. Turns out I wasn't "lucky to be skinny," I was basically starving my body of the important things it needs to function properly. And then my sister turns around and is feeding her kids pretty much only Lunchables at school everyday. 🥴
Adults especially parents teaching to children the bad habits they learned in their childhood can be a vicious cycle.
Yeah, it definitely missed the mark here. Kids idolize Mr. Beast and it would be awesome if he created something that could meet USDA requirements so healthy, whole foods can be popular. I know Uncrustables actually has partnered with schools to make a bigger, whole grain, healthier version of their product for schools, and it’s a great thing for picky kids.
A concern most people have with this meal is the low amount of *calories*, sure it may be lower but at the same time that means it won't fill the stomach, no?

It is super irritating to me how the internet just attacks people because a mob is, rather than doing this and actually looking at things logically.
