Vtuned single handedly carrying his channel and the builds..Love it!!!
Yes it must be tough for him coming away from his Father’s shop but it will make a man of him, and eventually an employer.
Fantastic job Ben !! Just a suggestion you might want to put rubber bushings or mat between the fuel cell and rear body other than that keep up the great work.
It's really amazing how 'everything' always 'lines up perfectly' in this build :D
Looking good - keep it up ! Can´t wait to see this thing on the road!
One thing about VTuned, he's going to make a plate for everything 😂. Love the progress dude 👍🏾
He’s got mad cardboard cad skills
my grandfather was a welder he used to make plates for everything as well.. when the war came the houses where blown up but the plates where stil holding well hahahaha
Awesome video as always Ben. I do have a concern regarding the radiator tho. I recommend you notch the frame rails on either side of it. The reason being is that if you get any chassis flex at all, the twisting forces will crack the aluminum welds on the radiator wide open. This is why you see most radiators only bolted from the top mounts and effectively floating in the bottom mounts, sometimes with rubber bushings to counter vibrations etc.
Good job Ben. That tubing bender is the best. I have a style like that I use for refrigeration and have used for break lines. One more step closer to being done. Stay safe and be well.
Can't wait to see this car finished. Doing a great job bud
getting pretty hyped as the build comes together. Really rooting for you cause i know finishing this will be a massive weight off your mind.
Love this build! With great respect, it is so impressive the wide range of expertise, all the different skills, that Ben has learned. Plus a really good creative mind to visualize and build his dreams.
The two small hoses on the lower radiator hose go to the oil cooler. The simplest solution to your radiator hose issue would be to get a good welder to swap the inlet and outlet nipples to the opposite sides for you. We do that kind of stuff all the time in the race car world. As for the brakes, that tubing bender won't bend 3/16" tube so you'll need a different one for the brake lines. The 1996-2004 Cobra front calipers will bolt right on with the proper caliper brackets.
Ben, I suggest for the top radiator mounts you made to weld in a nut from the outside part (where the bolt head is right now), and the bolt go in from the engine bay outward to make it serviceable and easy to remove in case needed rather than removing the front grill to get the bolt out. and also; fill your brake lines with sand when bending them so they stay round and true.
Always clean aluminium with acetone before welding! Using a wire wheel will just scuff it up and probably add contaminants from the wire wheel too it. So you need to clean it afterwards. Especially on a Rad where you’ll get porosity causing tiny little water leaks!
Use rivnuts on the panel to fix the radiatorthen you can bolt from inside the engine bay, way easier
You should really consider some taps so instead of running bolts completely through stuff you can tap the metal and run a bolt like factory, also I see genuine excitement and happiness in your eyes about this car. I’m excited for this build!
Awesome job Tennessee! I don't know how it could be done any better..Thanks for the ride.
I gotta say Ben your the man that mustang is looking great keep up the awesome work, I love your videos always have thanks for the content 😀 😊 🙌
That was great work. I’m enjoying watching this car coming together
Make yourself a v tuned stencil for the front of that radiator so when you paint it you will have a custom v tuned rad 👍
you have really worked hard. That 65 is steadily coming along great!
Ben, I agree with the last commenter. People will always try to talk down things they don't completely understand. You are doing a fine job. Don't worry about what people say. If they think they can build a better Mustang, they need to get their own shop and their own project to build.
The old guys going to say it again v tune hard work pays of and you are single handedly building a complete car, and doing your own recording, and editing great video great job on all you are doing, cannot wait for the first start of that engine. I'm getting excited. 👍👍
Looks great. Maybe you can build some coolant hoses from metal. Easy to work and you can make it how you like it
love the series and the custom stuff is pretty cool to watch you figure it all out, outstanding !
Ben you’re doing a great job, don’t listen to the keyboard warriors that say it’s going to be a death trap, I’m a chassis specialist and can assure you this build is stronger than factory. Also stop putting yourself down your awesome
I was going to say they same thing, shouldn’t listen to the haters and stop pointing out the flaws, no one is perfect.
@@vintagekuz7567 well said mate, doing a build like this is a learning curve even for a pro that’s never done this type of thing. This will be a monster when it’s finished, ok probably will have a few teething issues which is expected but none the less a great build
Ben’s fitting pretty good brakes and the whole car is going to be a lot lighter than the current model so I think it should stop pretty well. 👍
I have to agree! That's way stronger than factory. Haters don't know how to do this kind of work. Jealousy is a strong emotion...
How much education does a chassis specialist need, I know English isn't the most necessary in your line of work but there is a difference in your and you're.
Just giving you a hard time mi eenglich isn't always purfect lol
Nice job Ben! Don’t forget you still have an oil cooler to add in front and a transmission oil cooler if it has that option.
The build is coming along well Ben. Your confidence is back and doing an awesome job. Thanks, Joe.
It's sick watching you figure shit out and give it a go and sift through problems
And now all the tricky and annoying bits start. You're doing a great job Ben and it is a really great watch.
He never set pinion angles! Its already all wrong !
I think we are going to see a running, operable Mustang here soon! Some paint and body, an interior and it will be done before you know it, amazing :)
Not to be to critical, because its not my build, but personally if I had room I would have done a rail for it to sit in some rubber mounts on the bottom. A removeable rail with rubber mounts up top. That way if you need to replace it can do so with welding brackets. A new one just drops in. The rad is still enclosed with rubber, but won't crack or possibly leak at the welds. Just kind of sandwiched in between the mounts. Just me though. In case it gets damaged on the road it would be a hard fix. Not super likely, but a little work now will save a bunch down the road. Just my 2 cents worth.
Custom rad hoses!!!! Get some pipe and get it bent at exhaust shop then just take about 3” of rubber hose to connect ends! Then chrome them up or powder coat!!!
Look into doing AN lines for the radiator hoses, might save you some time. Glad to see you posting more.
This build keeps me coming back to follow i love this
Your welding skills are getting much better.
Great video Ben, love the blog style. Can't wait for the Mustang to get wired up and hear that beast start up !
Try keep taping the trigger for the welding on aluminum. It’s really hard to use that mig set up to weld aluminum. So your tack welding your tack welds you can always try to pull the wire as well your pushing it the same way you weld steel. But the welds don’t really look that bad all it has to do is hold.
You have been cruising mad fast on this built since the blog style videos.
You have to make a shelf fore the tank to sit on have to put rubber mount under it steel will rub a hole right through them aluminum tanks just a thought making grate progress on the vcd cafe
It’s awesome to see things are moving fast and watching your videos is always a treat. Keep it up bro
done
Take a piece of your welding rod and bend it into the shape you need for that upper rad hose then take that to the parts store to find the hose(s) you will need.
Its always hilarious to see Ben fight ziplocks xD
IMO indeed top mounts should have some sort of rubber isolator, because movement from lower mount might shear off welds on top mounts.
Definitely! I hope he adjusts to a rubber top mount.
I'd put the accessories on the motor before deciding on line placement,or hoses.Just to save you $.Did you test fit the headers near the steering? Not digging, just want you to have an easier time instead of rework.Looking good.
Usual spot on. Only one thing will any particles of welding / grinding get into the air intake even tho it's closed ?
Cannot wait till this Mustang finish..
Enjoying the content, Ben. Thanks.
Nice fabrication skills. One question though, the top rad mounts aren't you going to encounter aluminium/steel corrosion? Because the bolts which I'm guessing are steel are touching the aluminium brackets. You'll get corrosion because the metals aren't compatible together I'm sure I read that somewhere.
Good work though!
Started as a nice original mustang, turns out to be a kind of homemade..... car ish.
This guy can make something out of nothing and make it look effortless 👏🏽
I'm enjoying your videos MUCH more since you went to this vlog style... Back to your roots when I fell in love with your channel. Keep it up @vTuned garage
Ever thought about getting some cameos from other content creators in some of the future mustang episodes? People like Samcrac, etc? Would be awesome to see a collab with him again!!!
It's coming along now quite nicely
Keep up the good work . Stang is looking great Ben .
Coming along very well! Great job... can't wait for the first drive!
Can’t wait for the first start and keep the long work💪🏾
Looks good man, take your time on this car, you'll be even happier once it's done
It's awesome to see you having fun again. This video style suits you 100%.
Celebrate the little victories.
You are doing an amazing job at filming your builds. The 65 mustang is looking awesome can't wait until you get it to the stag when you fire up the beast. ❤🇨🇦
Can't believe how much we've got done recently 👀
Hey bro, thanks for the update, been looking forward to your video, a question 🙋, wouldn't Shaving off the frame rails at the location you did weaken the structural integrity because your mods of the tubes were just above it.
There's not much stress there it infront of the wheel.
Consistency is definitely highlighted in VTuned dictionary 🤣
Nice JOB, the mustang is going along very nice
You need to put some kind of protection between the Al.gas tank an steal body unless your are using spray on.
This guy Ben needs more attention than he's getting now ....i think ❤🇬🇭
Amazing thought process to build this car! Keep it up
You can get flexible radiator hoses or braided ones that flex and they will look good too 👍
I like all the nice shiney parts lol. Great job, getting close to rippin'!
Good hard work goes a long way. 🥂🥂👍
cars looking awesome thats gonna be a sick ride
عمل رائع ومحترف شخصية جميلة شرح مدقق كل التوفيق لي العالمية
Nice edits, these videos are far superior than when you had that other guy.
Enjoy watching your channel. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see the mustang completed.
I've read that you can use a MIG for aluminum but I've never seen it done before. I wouldn't say those welds are structural but for a rad support they are more than adequate. It did a pretty good job considering.
Of cause a Mig can weld aluminium..... ah just had a thought, you are supposed to change the liner to suit.
VTuned excellent job you doing just suggestions the air conditioner condenser I probably fit that up run the hoses and pipes make sure everything fits properly keep up good work mate always look forward to videos
Please cover that throttle body and put some tape or something over those exhaust ports grind sparks and welding splatter are no good inside that motor! Great video keep up the great work ✌
You could make radiator hoses out of stainless pipe and use straight silicone pieces as connectors.
I still want that Ford Truck sitting outside.
Rivnuts for the radiator supports up top - inch clean finish and easier to work with later down the road.
Glad to see you still moving along without a camera man. Your videos are actually better tbh. Keep going man!!!
I honestly think you need to dive into the other mustang after this , while everything is fresh with frame design and change it may really benefit that build
Loving this style and your progress.
Looking very good can't water to hear it run
the man the myth the most awsome guy on yt love your vids you are the king Ben
Don’t the oil coolers and Air conditioner coolers go in front of the radiator.
Great build.
yup !
Your doing great and everything is coming together and looks awesome
Keep plugging away Ben. Your doing a great job. Don't give up. I love this mustang build.
i prefer the channel way much more now, with this straightforward style. the previous artsy styles were good attempts but viewers prefer real content
أنت مبدع
great job. You make it look easy.
Hi Ben, wonderful to see you working these things out, each new thing you learn will help you with future builds. Not working from a blueprint, makes you more creative! Stay strong. 💪🫶🏼
That should be running in no time Ben, nice vid keep it up.will wait for next vid to come.
Bro keep it up! Outstanding work!
Looks good 👍 from my house in Ohio ☮️
nice and bright video. sometimes the lighting seems dark in your videos. mustang is going to be cool when finished. a lot of engine for a small car.
You will have this Mustang done in no time!!! Keep it up :) congrats
Get some Pem nuts :) for the new radiator bracket.
Good job Ben, like how you are slowing down and making a plan..not real happy about that steering shaft being exposed.. looks a bit ghetto...should be a runner tho.
Great episode! Lots of welding.
Your doing an amazing job Ben keep up the good work
25:20 Nismo Mustang just came back... #NameThatMovieReference
Keep grinding bro. You are doing a awesome job! Like others have mentioned....SINGLE HANDED! tELL THE HATERS TO STOP PLAYING WITH YOU!
