I’m Cypriot been to Cyprus multiple times dony live there never lived there but I know the people they like their own kind first than they like their own kind from other countries than they like Greeks than they like Eastern Europeans than Anglo-Saxon than Asians Indians etc etc etc etc
Great video! Can you only live in cyprus for 3 months in a 180 day period with tourist visa? What kinda visa do you got? as i understood to get a citzenship you need 7 years

Been following your channel for a while and decided to come to Cyprus to study and probably experience a new culture. Great content but I am afraid it's not exactly as truthful or indepth as it should be. Most non white or non Europeans would tell you that it's a very prejudiced and racist country and I have experienced that myself also. Don't get me wrong, there are some good but very little compared to the negative racist parts of the Cypriot society.

Well I understand your point but perhaps try to engage people from a more "diverse" background and you would find out that there's more to Cyprus than you know, perhaps you've never encountered any of these things as you fit right in and would be easily accepted. I know people that have been denied health care , people who have had monkey chants made at them in public areas in Cyprus. Different strokes for different folks I guess, but some people could get easily mislead by some of these videos and fall for the false image of the island.
@@Rico I am not really looking to get into the personal experience vlog niche, if I wanted to do that I would make a shit ton of videos depicting the negatives but that's not really the vibe for me, besides I would rather dwell on the positives. I did have plans of staying longer but all that's out the window now, planning to leave the Island in the next few weeks. Lots of negative energy, not for me
@@footytakeout Ugh! Thank you SOOOO much for posting this. I've been watching Rico on and off, almost since his first video with his girlfriend YEARS ago. And Cyprus recently announced a new faster citizenship process. So about 3-4 months ago I started researching VERY heavy, and discovered this issue, and once I looked-oh my God-I found even more. So it's my primary concern. I'm not worried about the trash on the ground, the "toilet paper issue," not the people getting bored, not the right hand driving. None of it concerns me as much as this--it's kinda the reason I'm leaving America!! So the idea of getting into a worse situation or one just as bad is ridiculous. But this last month I've been going through EVERY Rico video, even the older ones like this. As well as any video made by a "diverse" person living in Cyprus. Strangely enough I'm finding quite a lot of people of color featured in Rico's videos like this one. BUT. I'm also reading ALL the comments now in case something like yours is in there. Because as you said Rico might not experience these things, so it might invisible to him. But I might do a paid call and see what he knows. Right now I'm trying to see if there are any financial benefits to the move--as an American there's really no relief on taxes, no matter where you go. Again, thank you for expressing your experience, and I hope you found a place where we can relax. I might have to search the whole planet. Maybe Brazil....
