  • Part one of the series. We are swapping an LM7 from a 2003 Chevy in to my dads 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ.
    We are using an adapter kit from Advanced Adapters and the stock AX15 / NP231.

    Once you LS swap it you can really haul ass up that hill to sit at that light!! Good job on the swap though. I pulled the body on my JK tp put my 6.2 in. It runs a little better now.

      @@Joester1908 2005 2.4 cyl factory gear is 3.73 I thought about the 4:88 but looking at some gear charts it says I would be running 3000-3200 rpm's at 70 mph which isn't bad but 75-80 for a prolonged period of time would be pushing higher rpm's on the interstate so I thought maybe the 4.56 would be a better happy medium idk...?

      @@Joester1908 now that I am thinking about it my 94 yj has 33s and I'm guessing 3.73s and it has some incline grade vs power and gearing issues. So just that little difference does kill your 2nd to 3rd and 5th on a grade performance.

    • @Joester1908
      @Joester1908  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Braud Sword let me be clear, the reason for swapping the V8 in my dads Jeep was not just because it was a little under powered. He wanted a V8. My TJ is 4.0/4.56/35s and it does ok but it still doesn’t have power. I can do 75 mph but it’s nothing like my dads Jeep
