Picking a cool WiseLock, and showing more recent purchases [152]

I'm still not done shopping for antiques. Got some more unique ones to show. Then, we pick a WiseLock, with some very unusual replacements for plain old pin-tumbler technology. #lockpicking #locksport #antiquepadlocks

A nice collection of new locks Doug. The first brass one looks like someone cleaned it up using a wire wheel, too bad. Someone loaned me a Wise lock with no key to play with. I picked it in no time similar to how you did but I used a shim. Slid it between to two parts and slid it in as I pick each "ring". Once picked it's easy to make a key for it as the out part of the lock lets you know the bitting. I made him a key and then went out and bought a lock for myself.

That’s pretty cool. I never thought of using a shim. Also need to hear that you made a key for it. I held off buying one for my collection for so long. But once it showed up I had to have it. As for that Fraim, you are right. Kind of a shame they hit it with the wheel. Fortunately my railroad one is untouched.

I gradually progressed from finding old locks and cleaning them, to rebuilding, then collecting them over time. My videos reflect that transition.

Sorry for the late reply. Very good question almost seems like they could be the forerunner to the Mindy locks.
