Hello there! I really like your content, because you are doing almost every possible scenario combination with smartphones. Always awesome and complete comparisons with no room for any questions 😊 Yet there is a question in my mind 😅 Can you do comparison between S24 Ultra with standard power mode like in this video and S24 Ultra with battery saving on? If not possible, no worries and keep making great content, kudos ✌️
Light mode on the Samsungs is apples normal mode lol , iphones run underclockd 24/7 thats why they last so long , u open app store or whatever app with online content and on iphones u can see the content take 1-3 seconds to load for example in app store this happens and it's not even a 3rd party app. Also their modem is underclocked if u try ookla speed test on both s23u and 15pm the s23u does faster every single time ( these phones have the same snapdragon modem according to nanoreview website ) and s24ultra is even faster than both of them wich makes sense no surprises here 8gen3 has the newer snapdragon modem. Also ios restrictrs many background tasks like downloading files from sources other than icloud, it just stops downloading if you start a download on Google drive for example and u exit the app it just stoped , all that stuff saves Battery but damn at what cost.. thats some midrange ah phone bullshit it ain't premium experience
You're the one spitting the truth here. If I let anything to download on my android it would continue to download even if I leave the app or turn off the screen. But iPhones won't do that, as soon as you leave the app it pauses or stops the task completely. Which saves battery. But for what? Almost nothing runs in the background on an iPhone. Apple is efficient but for a cost which no reviewer or anybody talk about.
@@furieux6742 Nope. Actually it's the size of the core and amount of task each core does. Apple has less core but beefier. Which is the reason single core results are higher on the Apple chips. Amount of core doesn't matter different things also have a role
Now i wonder what difference, if any, it would make with the S24U on both light performance mode and battery saver on against the iPhone 15PM with its battery saver mode on.
Some people need their phone to last longer I switch here and there depending on what im doing if I'm working I'll leave it on standard but if I'm going to be out all day another have access to charger I'll put light on
I literally figured this about a year ago. Whenever I switch to night mode my battery drains faster than having it on light mode. I thought I was being weird but watching this vid just showed I'm very much ok and on track 🎉❤
Is the first time that actually I've seen somebody making a test battery drain with the celular data on 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 Not with airplane mode or WiFi turned on This is almost a real day usage but indoors 😂😂😂
Do you think that if Samsung released 10 phones/varients a year instead of 60(?) would allow Samsung software engineers to optimize their OS better??? Lol😂
thank you for such test, very specific and time consuming test which some of us looking for :) in my opinion there is no point to use light profile (very strange behavior in some apps and higher temps), if you need more juice then just better to use battery saver, as most app don`t provide more that 60fps
Hello, could you do a battery test on the exynos variant? Like S24+ Light Performance Mode vs S24+ Standard Performance Mode. I'm also curious on how long it'll last with just the AOD on.
He is setting up the Samsung for failure, the iphone had the brightness set almost under half and didn't show anything on the S24. S24 brightness could be higher then the iphone. You did this on purpose bro.
Thanks for the video. I still think the full potential of the s24 ultra is held back by the camera using too much power or making the phone too hot. Hope they discover or fix something
Try the iPhone in low-power mode! No idea how, or if it will make a difference, but it would be interesting for reference. They are very close, and I certainly would not base my purchase decision on the differences here. Samsung seemingly fakes the last 10%. I suspect it is more like 5%. Does not bother me; being an Ultra user, I know when it is at 10% it will drain super fast. Apple along with OnePlus and others give you confidence the last 10% will be 10%, and that is a big positive versus Samsung. Hoping Apple one day matches the Ultra battery size as it would give at least another hour of SOT for most of these tests. But I suppose Apple knows it doesn't have to as Samsung is still 15% less efficient for one reason or another.
If you put a 5000mAh batter on an iphone then it will look like a brick. There is a reason why Apple cannot implement 5000mAh sizes because it will ruin the iphones design. If they can, they would have done it years ago but they did not.
Samsung is not that bad in efficiency as the task and workload it can take is above any iPhone. Start downloading stuff in both iPhone and Samsung, if you leave the app or turn off the screen the iPhone would pause the task or even stop it. Samsung would continue to run that task and it also does run a lot of things in the bg where as iPhones don't.
Not true. I use normal, everyday apps -no games, or other intensive apps and I experience a lot of stuttering, UI pauses, app switching takes longer and IS NOT smooth. It's great that Samsung gives us this option, but it's obvious why this isn't a default setting - it provides a subpar experience.
So which one lasts longer after 3years ? That's what I wanna know because iPhones are good when new and after a year they start losing batter like crazy
They both are built different. Both software and hardware. So they have their own way of handling things, and for sure Samsung does more heavy lifting like multitasking. Gaming is also better on the Samsung as it throttles much later than the iPhone.
I wonder how s24+ Exynos performs in low-performance mode! I guess it'll solve over heating problem in video calls and live streams and the battery difference will be much more different than what we are seeing in s24 ultra with snapdragon. wish you do this test for S24 Exynos...
Are apps closed after they are tested or are they left 'open' the 'background'? I know it's best to test using default settings, but since I think both Android and iOS treat background apps differently, it would be nice to know the status of apps previously run.

Samsung needs to improve that last 15% length
@levipb1403 I second that. I think 🤔 it really suck that you have 5% ND may need it for emergency, and it just depletes very quickly
