  • How does the Xiaomi 14 (4610mAh) & Xiaomi 14 Ultra (5000mAh) stack up against the Samsung S24 Ultra (5000mAh), HONOR Magic 6 Pro (5600mAh), OnePlus 12 (5400mAh), Vivo X100 Pro (5400mAh), and iPhone 15 Pro Max (4441mAh) in this ULTIMATE Real Life Usage 100%-0% Battery Drain Test?!?
    All Phones are Set to the Exact SAME Brightness Level (Using a LUX Meter). If a phones display looks brighter or dimmer than another, it's due to my studio lighting OR because it dimmed due to overheating.
    I run through 15 APPS which include System Apps, Media Apps, Social Media Apps, Camera Apps, Benchmark Apps (to simulate High Performance Gaming), and Games. Intervals are clocked at every 30 minutes and at each interval I show the percentage of each phone as well as their temperature in degrees celsius using an Infrared Heat Gun!

    Hey Guys, thanks for all the support! 🙏 I hope you all enjoy the video as it took ages to put together 🔥I also wanted to quickly mention a few things:
    1. This is my first drain test in 4K, enjoy! 👏
    2. In the past, many of you have said this and that about screen resolutions and said that because one phone is pushing more pixels than another it affects the battery life. Well, I have been doing battery drain tests for years now and have noticed the difference is extremely minimal (if any at all) and depending on the phone, sometimes I've seen greater battery life from a phone running at it's native QHD resolution instead of having it dropped down to FHD res. Just some food for thought 😅
    3. All phones are sitting at 100% battery health 🙌
    4. I always keep all the brightness levels, apps and app running times EXACTLY the same so that you can compare these results to other SOT results within Battery Tests on MY channel 😃
    5. ALL phones are global variants running on GLOBAL ROM 👀
    6. X (Twitter) Link to wallpaper: x.com/technickbrazer/status/1787841736670118383?s=46&t=njSAbxlis0HTWCsnHSuKwg

      2.) I think that's because there's a difference between pushing internal resolution and OLEDs having to light up individual pixels. Since there are more pixels to light, more battery is needed. That's what I think at least.

The one strange thing I've noted is that here in South Africa the networks are draining phone batteries quite quickly. On WiFi it'll go on forever but on the network it uses battery even at idle and that's even on iphones, Samsungs, Huawei's etc. I wonder why.

    HONOR MAGIC 6 Pro's battery performance is extraordinary, this battery uses the latest 2nd Generation Silicon Carbon Anode battery technology.
    - Silicon anode offers 10 times the power density of graphite, but volume increases by up to 300%
    - Honor Magic 6 Pro also uses an additional chip called Power Enhanced Chip Honor E1, a HONOR Power Management System chip that significantly improves the battery experience
    - The second generation silicon-carbon battery also offers improvements in charging. To ensure optimal performance
    - Honor says Laser Guidance Microtunneling technology makes a big difference when used on silicon-based anodes. This increases the contact area between the electrolyte and the silicon-based anode, unlocking usable capacity in the low voltage range. Additionally, it helps increase battery capacity.

      That was actually not very good, look at the mAh/min and it’s far worse than the iPhone. To only last 30 minutes longer than a 4400mAh battery, looks like Honor skimped on the chipset optimization and just threw in a larger battery.

    • @SDav21
      @SDav21 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @@superiortoall22The battery isn't physically larger but because of the new battery tech it is more dense so they can fit larger mah in the same size. Apples software is so basic and simple and hasn't changes in years. Apple makes their own chip with their software so it's a given it'll be more efficient.

    • @superiortoall22
      @superiortoall22 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@SDav21 regardless of size or density, mah is the capacity to provide electrical flow, so no matter which way you explain, it’s still a larger capacity battery. Remember physical hardware is still easier produce than anything software. And as an engineer that works with both Android and iOS, iOS is not 1200 mAh difference simpler. It’s just poor optimization on Honors part man, no excuses.

    • @SDav21
      @SDav21 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @@superiortoall22 I get that. But it's mah per minute was still very good and it lasted quite a bit longer than the S24 Ultra which would be it's main Android competitor. No Android phone is as efficient as iPhone because most Android phone makers don't make their own chips and android is universal as it needs to work on multiple devices with a staggering array of configurations all with their own layers of unique software. And actually, the Honor had the best mah per minute of all the android phones here. It isn't poor optimisation. Just different optimisation. The Honor will easily outlast any Android phone on the market. Also, if you look at the last part with the numbers, he shows how long each phone would last if it had 5600mah and the Honor is still 1st among the android phones. So it has the best Android optimisation and clearly better than what you're trying to make it out to be.

So clearly it isn't poor optimisation as you're trying to make it out to be. great review on each flagship battery consumption. I would like to suggest instead of mentioning battery (which we all know mAh for battery) why not change it to type of battery either using Li-ion, Li-Po or Sica example 5400mAh Li-Ion.

    People who complained about the higher temperature those phones gets do not understand the concept of this video, because how on earth would you sit down and be running all those heavy tasks nonstop on your phone?
    Nick puts those phones to their limits, every component on them were working so hard.
    Consider yourself running nonstop for 7 hours and chech your body temperature. Well-done Nick for great job 👍

    • @dodollucknutzz

      actually people complained the temp because of daily basis use or just scrolling yet it still gets hot in hand

    • @TechNick
      @TechNick  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Finally someone who gets it! Cheers 🍻 that said I do show the temp after each app that was run and the devices peak when using full cpu load when running benchmarks and using the camera app so that’s when they got very hot. When running basic apps throughout the test, most of them were idling at around 30-40 degrees which is acceptable.

      If a phone is reaching 70 degrees Celsius it’s very likely reaching 55+ degrees on tasks like gaming, camera and GPS. Anything over 50 degrees is quite literally destroying your battery, so if your phone constantly hits 50+ degrees on a daily basis, this battery is going to be cooked.
