I sold all my moza stuff (r9 v2, gs gt v2 wheel, srp pedals ) lost faith in their products and could not enjoy racing and i did not enjoy the experience . Purchased the asetek la prima bundle , with the brake polymer kit and the la prima to forte accelarator upgrade kit and love it so far, pedals are great ,wheel feels good and the ffb is great , the base weighs gotta be twice as heavy nearly than the r9 , i found the software much better to use than moza pithouse aswell .
I want to upgrade my Fanatec Porsche wheel and. as I already have Fanatec V2 pedals, I was looking at this wheelbase to buy, as my Fanatec stuff has been trouble free for many years. But I am totally not going to send them money over the net, I can go into a shop and pick up Moza, Simagic and Asetek gear, so even though I have some loyalty to Fanatec, I am going with one of the brands that have a physical place I can go, for ease of mind. I read recently that, when Fanatec were asked about going to a retail system, they said no, it would make their products too expensive. I can imagine that a whole lot of other people will feel the same way as I do, so unfortunately, I think it's gonna be a rocky road ahead for them, the competition is just too good and it's a less stressful purchasing/returning process. lol.
I kinda figured this would be reviewed just a tad more negatively lol. I will say this though. I am very confused as to why they bumped up the cost by $100. I was one of the lucky ones that bought it at $700. I don't think I could have justified the $800 pricetag.
Very good video as usual. I feel like Fanatec is starting to do the wrong thing towards its customer base. As mentioned in previous comments, it appears they are doing everything to get customers (new and existing), to shell out a substantial amount of money for products that are just like the competition (they’re actually playing catch-up). Full force is a marketing term, and the worst about it is that they’re putting the responsibility of implementation on the game developers, and that’s not the way to go. Who knows how many will agree to invest in time and maybe money to implement it to cater to only one part of their customer base? And considering the logistics issues Fanatec are facing for the past few months, it’s an incredibly bold move to release these products whilst not being able to properly deliver to customers in a timely manner.😮. And imagine if you receive your product and it’s defective and needs to be sent back, then you’re in for a wild ride in the current state of affairs.
I canceled my order last week. This company has lost my personal data twice to hackers, never delivered on time and now this. I have been a customer for over 14 years and now I say rest in pieces Fanatec. My ecosystem now gets to Ebay. I switch to VRS and some other gear developer.
good video i just order mine i hope its nice atm i have gt dd pro 8nm.....so that true force not work yet but it maybe start working later from maybe some firmware update
There's too much of a cash grab in how they are structuring this whole ecosystem for a company that can't even get it's customers their orders. Let's focus on not having our products breaking or at least getting replacements to people. Hell responding to their emails would be nice. I appreciate they will make moza step up their software but I'm happy where I'm at. 😊
i get a desk clamp over rig right now because space, not everyone rents or own a whole house. I myself only rent a medium size room, there is no space for a rig.
Did you know, the resistance you're putting on the steering wheel while gaming is increasing the power you consume from the outlet, in turn the power bill goes up exponentially.
Small mistake you made in the review. If you use qr1 LITE the ff will be limited to 8nm. The metal qr1 doesn't suffer from that. Also to mention, there are people with many wheels that are not qr2 upgradable and still want to use them. For them is the downgrade made.
Hmm Fanatec seems too expensive at the moment especially with the QR2 transition. You should wait maybe another year if you want some Fanatec products without selling your kidney.
unless you want the moza eco system you should consider the simagic mini. a smoother motor with a better encoder and even though thay sell it as a 10nm its been tested to be closer to 13.
@@TheRivalryDrifting, the Moza Pithouse software is also a huge perk. Simagic's software is adequate (much like VRS), but very dated and nowhere near as versatile as Moza's.
Just want to point out that peak torque is significantly higher then other 12 nm wheels, closer to the 15-16 nm wheels from other brands that run closer to 12 most of the time. Its Also a much better plug and play wheel, the software and setup between games is the best out there for consistency across games
@@Max__apex I guess we need to line them all up and torque test them with the same testing method. I don't know why all the manufacturers cant agree on a standardised torque testing method.
Actually there is not a huge difference between brands for DD feedback performance. While all other brands keep publishing new products, Fanatec is far behind. The pedals, shifters, wheels, are still based on the product line 5+ years ago, I don't see any innovation Fanatec is trying to make but only want to keep them always at a high price. What's more, the terrible customer service and shippment experience in recent years also force their users to leave. @@stalliondan1

Sucks to hear that you didn’t get your order fulfilled on time, I know they’re currently restructuring their distribution network but nothing I as a TH-camr can do anything about
they cant even ship out just a shifter in a reusable time. ordered on the 27th and im gonna get it on the 28th this mouth. fun thing is that the mouth it took to get is one les mouth for my warranty.
The items that companies send out for reviews are usually late stage prototype or pre-production units never meant for retail sale. In other words, the units they send to people for review aren’t units that could have been sent customers.

i couldnt wait any longer and cancelled, ordered the simagic alpha instead. hope i made the right decision
You’ll love it. I’ve had mine for a few months and zero complaints. I initially had a moza r5 and it feels like a toy compared to the alpha.

So Sick!!! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
My girlfriend order me one for christmas! Im so excited! I have the csw 2.5 for now!
W girl friend, tell me how it’s down bro 😭
@@OCRacing i received yesterday! And its insane! Precision and feedback are real!!👌🔥
I can imagine that a whole lot of other people will feel the same way as I do, so unfortunately, I think it's gonna be a rocky road ahead for them, the competition is just too good and it's a less stressful purchasing/returning process. lol.
Well done video and nice compare.. lot of work u put in there
Thanks! Glad you recognize it 😅
I kinda figured this would be reviewed just a tad more negatively lol.
merry christmas oc
Amazing review mate.
Thank you!!
IMO there's too much music in your videos and the volume is way too high.
They say it's faster becoming a real race driver than getting something from FANATEC actually delivered to you.
Can you do a full comparison video with Alpha mini since it’s the main direct competitor and next best selling at the level
I really like those fingerless gloves! Where could I get a pair!
Amazon
14:27 Please add the T818 to the comparision too. Merry Christmas!
Will do 👍
i get a desk clamp over rig right now because space, not everyone rents or own a whole house. I myself only rent a medium size room, there is no space for a rig.
holi 83k subs that went fast a remember 7k subs
Can you review the hori shifter
Turn the narration volume up and the terrible music/sound effects way down.
How would you compare the feeling of this to moza r12? Moza is much cheaper so it is quite tempting
mentioned in the video, a little less road details than other 3, but they all more or less still in the same level.
It's a shame that no one tells you the outside dimensions of the base. It would be nice to know if it fits the rig.
Fanatec it’s been greating for shipping in the us
Can they just release a new CSL DD that’s like fixes all the issues but still only 5 to 7ish Nm and still the same price? That would be great
ONLY 98k subs. We NEED to fix that
Did you know, the resistance you're putting on the steering wheel while gaming is increasing the power you consume from the outlet, in turn the power bill goes up exponentially.
Is this a joke?
Small mistake you made in the review. If you use qr1 LITE the ff will be limited to 8nm. The metal qr1 doesn't suffer from that. Also to mention, there are people with many wheels that are not qr2 upgradable and still want to use them. For them is the downgrade made.
Hmm Fanatec seems too expensive at the moment especially with the QR2 transition. You should wait maybe another year if you want some Fanatec products without selling your kidney.
Or just buy a moza
Now they just have to improve their customer service side of things
Sounds like imma just stick with getting the moza r12.
Also Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!!
unless you want the moza eco system you should consider the simagic mini. a smoother motor with a better encoder and even though thay sell it as a 10nm its been tested to be closer to 13.
@@TheRivalryDrifting that’s the plan. Moza ecosystem with Logitech pro petals (they got gifted to me so I can complain)
@@TheRivalryDrifting, the Moza Pithouse software is also a huge perk. Simagic's software is adequate (much like VRS), but very dated and nowhere near as versatile as Moza's.
Hi mate, can you share with us your force feedback settings? Thank you very much
I think the competition has brought Fanatec to its knees. I dont think they will last the year..
Thanks for the review! Do you think it is a big step up from the gt dd pro 8 nm? Merry Christmas!
I would say so, from a performance standpoint yes
The lack of additional distriubutuers is a nightmare, EU/UK customer? Expect to pay 30% on top of displayed prices 😮💨
Been stung 3 times in 2 years 🙄
Just want to point out that peak torque is significantly higher then other 12 nm wheels, closer to the 15-16 nm wheels from other brands that run closer to 12 most of the time. Its Also a much better plug and play wheel, the software and setup between games is the best out there for consistency across games
Where did you get those peak torque numbers from?
@@womz8203theres no peak torque here
You’re wrong. Its 12 peak and hold, no higher
@@Reazy- but it feels similar to 16 nm peak wheels because they never ever hold 16, they average much lower through a session
@@andrewmoon3409 technically not true, its 15nm and others could be lying or fanatec might be sandbagging who knows
It's more expensive because it's more powerful. 12nm and 15nm sustained, not peak like the others.
Alpha mini is 13.2nm sustained..
check Dan Suzuki review
@@Max__apex I guess we need to line them all up and torque test them with the same testing method. I don't know why all the manufacturers cant agree on a standardised torque testing method.
i have the DD i like it very much.
The price of steering wheels is a lot more expensive for the other eco systems than fanatec
You can buy it but you will never get it delivered. I've been waiting for a shifter for more than a month. Good luck
I had my CS DD delivered a few days ago and my shifter delivered 3 weeks ago 🤷
They don't send stuff out though i bought a button box and I haven't gotten in in 3 months, and thier customer service is awful.
If I get a chance to select the brand again despite my $2,000+ Fanatec gears, I will choose Simagic tbh.
Just curious as to why you would switch?
Actually there is not a huge difference between brands for DD feedback performance. While all other brands keep publishing new products, Fanatec is far behind. The pedals, shifters, wheels, are still based on the product line 5+ years ago, I don't see any innovation Fanatec is trying to make but only want to keep them always at a high price. What's more, the terrible customer service and shippment experience in recent years also force their users to leave. @@stalliondan1
Yeaaaa but the moza r16 v1 is now on sale for 699 euro in a few places in EU... and the new r16 is like 60 more than Clubsport.
How much better is the Clubsport DD than the CSL DD when we talk pure FFB fidelity ?
The music is far louder than your voice in this video. You might be well-advised to mix that with better balance before uploading next time.
your intonation is more consistent than your lap times
Thanks
@@OCRacing np. maybe use AI for voiceover if you become interested in variation
Was it gifted to you by fanatic mate ? Seems like they are more concerned & main priority is sending out items to TH-camrs instead of looking after paying customers. The whole black Friday sales was a scandal, 3 weeks after purchasing a wheel for my son x mas present they tell me they don’t have it & over sold it have to wait until end of March , i canceled it a week ago still haven’t got my money back
Its not only the BF-Sales. I have ordered "only" the shifter at 2.11 and it was stock. I still have no shifter received. Fanatec is really bad at giving correct informations to their customers. Anyway....Merry Christmas to All!
The Fanatec marketing team sent me this for review, yes. I’d imagine the shipping and logistics department is a whole different situation and with the immense sales they generated from Black Friday, I can only imagine the load they’re under.
@@TheRivalryDriftingI ordered the shifter and CSL Elite pedals V2 on 11/20 and received it a week later. And then PREORDERED the CS DD on 11/22 and had it delivered just a few days ago. If you're still waiting "just" for a shifter, you definitely ordered something else that is probably out of stock until January or February or you're just another Fanatec hate boy lol.
No thank you Fanatec. I am getting out of this ecosystem.
I left fanatec also to simagic
Honestly I’ll probably get the DD+ at some point. I have the 8nm dd now. After hearing multiple people talk about the extra road detail and how you can feel the wheels much clearer I just need that. Lol I’m fucked yo that way. Definitely over priced tho
Imagine if you could buy stuff from them ?!! That would be insane huh. I’ve ordered 4K dollars worth of stuff in the last 6 months and never to this day gotten a single thing but refunds. I live in the USA before some idiot assumed I’m in Antarctica. It’s not me. It’s this absolute dog shit company who has the worst logistics in the modern world.
Am begging for a pxn v99 review or pxn Dd wheel review there basically no reviews other then pxn official review which is so bad please
why is fanatec delaying the release of clubsport dd+? im getting frustrated with fanatec for not getting the much needed approval form sony.. they should have done it earlier before they drop the item to the mass market.. 😢😢😢
This aged well. They've taken the money and ran lol.
I highly warn to order from Fanatec! You will most likely wait at least months (not month, MONTHS) for getting your order and when you have problems they will leave you in the cold.
@OCRacing Is it a big upgrade from the CSL DD?
Who gives a shit if you can ever get the product from them?
The question is how long before the product is actually shipped out ?
Informative video, but if you chose X box, Fanatec is the ONLY worthwhile option.
Waiting for Fanatec to fill it’s Black Friday orders has been excruciating.
But here I sit.
So in resume, if you are rich and are patient, there's no negative.
Hey, thanks for the review!! Did you weight the base it self without the power supply? Is it 12,6 kilogram? I did see an other reviewer saying 8,6 kilogram?
The number I gave came directly from Fanatec, I am not sure if that’s only of the base unfortunately. Regardless, it is still a heavy unit
I just got my CS DD delivered Thursday and I can definitely say it's a heavy beast at 30lbs
A better buy than the Logitech G Pro, thats for sure.
Any specific reason on why is that?
@@calogeroguagenti5712 I am not the world’s biggest fan of Fanatec (in fact, I like Simagic much more), but compared to Logitech, Fanatec has a much better ecosystem.
Logitech doesn’t even offer a G Pro shifter or G Pro Handbrake.
You have more the one wheel
Its more of a toy looking thing
How does the new FFB compare to True Force?
There wasn’t a mention of the Logi G Pro.
He doesn't have the G Pro.
What does the OC in OC Racing stand for? I don't see it clarified anywhere.
Hold on hold on. Even the metal CS qr1 will limit to 8nm??? Not just the qr1 lite?
No, that was my mistake in wording. Only the QR1 Lite and QR2 Lite will limit it
@@OCRacing thank you!!!! I was planning on getting the CS DD+ eventually and downgrading to qr1 as I already have metal qr1 for all my wheels and I am happy with it (I don't notice any noticeable flex that other ppl say is severe for them) I guess I got lucky with my QR1s tolerances
How about not being able to use the DD+ because the firmware keeps saying waiting for USB connection and will not update. And now to ship it back I have to pay $100. Looks like Fanatec just might be on their way out. I have only used Fanatec but that is now going to change.
All i did was change the mode, wait for the program to show something else, then changed it back to pc mode, and it said remove the wheel for it to update the QR2. After that you can put the wheel back on to update it and/or calibrate it
