The thought is that people are ready for the next-gen console, and they are tired of the ancient hardware in the Switch. Switch will be getting less and less third party support because the Switch isn't powerful enough to run those games.. that's why Nintendo is working on a more powerful Switch Successor and will probably be out in 2024

still a nintendo fan, they make great games, but never got the fanboyism, let's be happy there is some competition in the gaming land. nintendo does great things on limited hardware, and they are the kings of leftfield when it comes to innovation. sony are the kings of making the right hardware at the right time, ps2 sold as a cheap dvd player, and again with ps3 as blu ray, xbox has a good plan of going cross platform on pc and their gamepass...

The switch has fallen off, back when it released it was really novel getting major third party titles before valve made the steam deck and made the switch irrelevant. Tears of the kingdom is fantastic but I feel we are going to enter a death spiral where there really is only first part titles coming out that is noteworthy
As I look back on the past five years with my beloved Nintendo Switch, I can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia and joy. It was a Christmas gift that changed my gaming experience forever. I still remember the excitement and anticipation as I unwrapped the box, knowing that the console came bundled with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Little did I know, this gift would become the center of many happy memories and countless hours of entertainment.
Now, as I celebrate the fifth anniversary of receiving my Nintendo Switch, I can't help but reflect on how much fun I have had with it. It quickly became my go-to console, surpassing even my beloved Nintendo Wii. I was able to immerse myself in games like Mario Kart Wii and Double Dash, which have now turned 15 and 20 years old, respectively. And let's not forget Super Smash Brothers Brawl, which will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. It's incredible to see how these games have stood the test of time and still bring me so much joy.
But what really sets the Nintendo Switch apart for me is the ability to invest in games, downloadable content, and other features. This is something that was not possible with my previous Nintendo consoles. While I do have some grievances with the Switch online subscription, I am willing to put that aside because of the endless possibilities the console offers.
However, with every joy comes frustration, and for me, that frustration comes in the form of Nintendo fanboys, or as I like to call them, 'Nintendrones.' These are the hardcore fans who will defend Nintendo at all costs and dismiss any criticism of the company. As much as I love my Switch, I can't ignore the fact that there are some flaws and issues that need to be addressed. We should be able to voice our opinions and concerns without being attacked by these fanboys.
Furthermore, the concept of paying for online multiplayer is not a new one, but it's something that I hate. Microsoft and Xbox 360 may have started this trend, but it's still frustrating to see Nintendo following suit. I remember the days of the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis, where there were options for online multiplayer such as BS Satellaview, Sega Meganet, and Sega Channel, but they were not mandatory. It feels like this trend has only become worse over time, with the recent price hike for PlayStation Now being a prime example.
Despite these frustrations, I cannot deny that my Nintendo Switch has brought me so much joy and has become an integral part of my gaming collection. As I reflect on the past five years, I am excited to see what the future holds for this console and all the fantastic games and memories it will bring. Will I defend it? No. My allegiance to nobody. not to a company. Nintendo like Nintendo fanboys hates me. This perfectly sums up how much they mistreat their fans and gamers like mud underneath their flip-flops worn by Samurai Warriors.
If Switch is so perfect, and there's no need for anything else, why is Nintendo working on a Switch Successor.... Possibly a More Powerful Switch

Yeah Harman Smith saying the Switch is the best selling console of all time is a fat lie, that title would go to the PlayStation 2, and that's not me just saying that because I'm some sony fanboy, if you look up "the best selling console of all time" you'll get the PS2.

Sony has made an attempt at Game Pass by combining PS+ and PS Now and boy oh boy does it suck a$$. ALL they had to do is copy Game Pass verbatim in pretty much every regard but just swap out Microsoft's 1st party titles with tier own as well as whatever 3rd party titles Microsoft has exclusively for Game Pass if any and maybe throw in some different perks like subscriptions to Crunchyroll or perks for PS exclusives.
At least Sony is trying. Nintendo is still living in the dark ages.

I love my switch. It has probably the best game library of this generation. But would i go this nuts in defendingnit? No. My allegiance to games are games - not to a company.

But, Nintendo has the biggest library.. LOL ... heheheh
No I'm not a Fanboy of Steam Deck (don't even own one, though have tried it.. I prefer the real deal), nor even console gaming anymore (except thru emulation for "Retro Nights" on my Gaming Rig), but I AM however a huge fan of speaking the plain truth about things and none of this Fanboy Hype that we mostly get these days.. Hands down, there is NO larger Library avail to any console or hybrid (handheld/console capable) that can beat the sheer numbers of the Steam Deck for simple fact that it can run other things just like a PC does..
Glad you are happy with your games you have allegiance to (i run a lot of the same way, putting more stock in the games themselves rather than any company or console allegiance), but lets be real about the numbers my friend, ok? You can't even "technicality" me on the "Best" being quality of games, adjustment, since there are Numerous GOTY entries in the Steam Library... Are there many in Nintendo's? NUFF said.. ;)

Why is he getting so mad about this I mainly play on pc and I got a steam deck I can play more Nintendo games on my pc also why acting like Nintendo pays him to worship Nintendo also Nintendo should never had charged for online mind you none of the consoles should but I'd say they still over a better service than Nintendo thanks Nintendo for 20 year old games I can play on my phone.

S/v were not really buggy, i havent seen any big bugs. The performance however is complete shit! Its only playable in handheld mode. On the big screen its 10fps at max!
