Paraglider mechanic already have in zelda since ocarina of time when you can use chicken to glide. In majora, we have deku mask, n in wind waker we have deku leaf to glide by using magic meter, skyward sword have sail cloth to land. Until in botw the mechanic is recognised and advanced as paraglider.

In addition to the gliding mechanic, Wind Waker had the Korok Leaf back in 2002(2003?). And Skyward Sword had Link use clothing provided by Zelda to break his descent back in 2011. And as you said, it's not like gliding is an exclusive concept that's never been done before. Non Zelda examples I can think right now are Kazooie in Banjo Tooie and Knuckles from Sonic.

The gen z seem to have a very limited understanding on gaming. That's the result of playing only a handful of the most popular games. I've asked the kids I know what kind of games their friends play and usually the answer is Fortnite, Minecraft or some mobile games. Very few modern kids are gamers who have experiences from multiple game genres or platforms from different gaming eras.
I'm technically older GenZ and i can tell you.. I played a lot of different games. But yeah people Younger than me. They usually only play f2p mobile games.
I was born in 1999 and most of modern AAA games and popular trending games lost all my interest due to how uninteresting and just expensive for how little you get from the game. Top from being unfinished, same core gameplay from the rest, graphics looking mainly the same (As impressive it is, having realistic graphics all the time gets old fast) and overall just not fun to me. The most recent console I have is a Switch Lite and the newest hardware I have is a Gaming laptop that have a 3050/32GB Ram/6600-H which isn't the most powerful device to play the newest games but I can play all sorts of "New" and old PC games from all sorts of genres. Top off with having a PS2/PS3/360/2DSXL and a Pandora's box 2 Player retro arcade cabinet (Overall okay for emulation and the buttons/sticks. Not arcade 1:1 and need some minor modifications to make it close as possible) I am totally fine with I have. I wish they make Choro-Q games still, how insane and wacky those games are!
I'd like to think the building mechanic was a run down version of what Banjo Kazooie 3 did, but you know, it was fun, and not gimicky and didn't killed what made its predecessor so great

Yep, it used mana so it was very selectively useful, but its been around for decades now

Watching the Ocarina of Time gameplay brought back so many memories. Having to roll everywhere. To be fair, people make comparisons between Zelda and Genshin that are just as ludicrous. When Genshin’s desert area came out, some people on Reddit were complaining about how the “map looked too similar”. If you actually go to the desert in botw and in Genshin and put them side by side, the only similarities they have is just sand.

In addition to the gliding mechanic, Wind Waker had the Korok Leaf back in 2002(2003?). And Skyward Sword had Link use clothing provided by Zelda to break his descent back in 2011. And as you said, it's not like gliding is an exclusive concept that's never been done before. Non Zelda examples I can think right now are Kazooie in Banjo Tooie and Knuckles from Sonic.

The gen z seem to have a very limited understanding on gaming. That's the result of playing only a handful of the most popular games. I've asked the kids I know what kind of games their friends play and usually the answer is Fortnite, Minecraft or some mobile games. Very few modern kids are gamers who have experiences from multiple game genres or platforms from different gaming eras.
I think there should be a mandatory gaming history class before kids are allowed to play video games XD.

I was born in 1999 and most of modern AAA games and popular trending games lost all my interest due to how uninteresting and just expensive for how little you get from the game. Top from being unfinished, same core gameplay from the rest, graphics looking mainly the same (As impressive it is, having realistic graphics all the time gets old fast) and overall just not fun to me.
The most recent console I have is a Switch Lite and the newest hardware I have is a Gaming laptop that have a 3050/32GB Ram/6600-H which isn't the most powerful device to play the newest games but I can play all sorts of "New" and old PC games from all sorts of genres. Top off with having a PS2/PS3/360/2DSXL and a Pandora's box 2 Player retro arcade cabinet (Overall okay for emulation and the buttons/sticks. Not arcade 1:1 and need some minor modifications to make it close as possible) I am totally fine with I have. I wish they make Choro-Q games still, how insane and wacky those games are!
