Another week another braindead fanboy I can't believe this game causes so much salt to pile up in one place. He just had to write this article trashing this game for no reason. It's one thing to criticize the game and point out flaws but this man was acting as if this game has no redeeming qualities at all. Real Pokemon Fans love Palworld. People who hate it are company shills that never understood what is so great about Pokemon.

The guy who wrote the article, and people like him, are part of the reason that Pokemon doesn't try anymore. The Pokemon company looks at the market and thinks, "these people will gobble up whatever shit we shovel out, and defend it to the last."
It's a bummer how hard indie devs have to fight for their success and exposure. I'm happy for the palworld devs and hope they don't fall into the same sense of entitlement as the AAA devs in their future games.
I agree I want this game to succeed and find its place in the monster-taming genre.

This article fits Pokemon S/V far more than it fits Palworld. Just substitute the titles, now the article makes sense.

I’m tired of talentless “game journalists” tearing things down when they’ve never created a thing. Palworld isn’t for me, but you can’t deny it’s going to be good for Pokémon while creating it’s own legacy.

Great video, unfortunately as it has been prove time over time, a large majority of have journos haven't fully played the games they are reviewing.

They're really obsolete. If you want to see if a game is worth buying you check TH-cam to see what the gameplay is like and/or read the steam reviews. Journalists only write whatever they're paid to write.
Actually, Pocketpair never leaned into the Pokemon with Guns thing. That was all the community.
Pocketpair could have been sued by Nintendo had they leaned into that marketing.
What actually drew me to Palworld was the intrigue of the weapons. Was like "Wait, I'm a participant, not just sending monsters to fight?" The only other Creature Collector game I knew that did that was Cassette Beasts, where you the player transform into monsters from recorded data of the monsters on the island you're on. If your beast form dies, you revert back to your human self, and can be damaged in combat. And if your health drops to 0, you can no longer fight, regardless if you have cassette monsters left. Seriously, go give Cassette Beasts a try, phenomenal game.
I suppose that's another way of looking at it, When I saw the first trailer I thought Pokemon with guns and sweatshops. Also never played Cassete Beasts, I might actually give it a shot later.
@@maidenlesskaleb Probably my favourite creature collector, and I'm including Palworld into this. It's a standard turn based combat system, but it's really fun.
Listen, stop hating on poor corporate slaves. One of their defining features is being Pokémon fan, because it was cool when they were kids, they made friends over it, and now some kinda indie dev studio comes out and makes better Pokémon game which is cheaper and does not require you to buy 2 versions and a separate console? Its like their entire life worth became worthless, their greatest personal trait was voided. Of course they would be angry and try to defend their corporate overlord, they are trying to deny their own flaws through it. We should make them understand instead that just being pokefan is not that big of a deal, and they are still humans and they still can mingle with us playing palworld and become more than someone who's sole reason to exist is Pokémon!
Guilty! At first blush, I thought it was “Pokémon with guns”. Here’s hoping we see Harman Smith continue to melting down in future videos.
After playing Palworld for a few days on PC (thanks to GamePass), it feels more like Pokémon infused with Ark: Survival Evolved. You can see influences of Ark through some of the game’s menus, especially the screens where you select perks. But in the end, the game just turned out to not be my cup of tea. All I can say is I did give it a fair shot.

honestly with the sensitive woke left I don't think I'll ever enjoy American created content since they're all infested with people like this journalist, thank you Japan for remaining uncorrupted this game feels like such a breath of fresh of air no self insertion of an agenda, no concern with making sure it's "safe," not afraid to show death, it just feels like Palworld doesn't filter anything and seeing as I to just hit 90 hours I'm having a blast. Oh and I've been a Pokemon fan till Scarlet and Violet, and to anyone reading my comment thinking "he's just a Pokemon hater who hates every game after red and blue" I have 500 hours on Pokemon Shield and enjoyed Pokemon BDSP if even I say Scarlet and Violet are trash they've gone too far. Also it's funny I bought Pokemon Violet and tried to return it at Best Buy and they told me "normally we don't allow returns for games, but because the demand for returns have been so high we've made an exception for this game." And rightfully sow come on Pokemon fan base stop defending medio acridity and vote with your dollar that's the only way Nintendo/Gamefreak will listen.
They pay 500k for servers. To me they put there money where there mouth is and I trust Japanese and there work efforts more than our American companies. I hope they keep it up.
I just hope the PVP is fun when it comes I want to give it a try and see how it works.

2:55 Can these people stop pretending BOTW is a beautiful looking game? It's very faded and has more fog than Morrowind. All of these BOTW aesthetic rip offs have all dramatically improved the already lame visual style.
I think BOTW looked good when it dropped for its time, But it just doesn't look very good visually in 2024

Pokemon fan here who hasn´t played any Pokemon game in 15 years: Palworld got me so excited to buy and play that game myself, I kinda felt like the kid again when Red and Blue came out. When I saw the first gameplay footage my eyes lit up and I was looking with open mouth at my screen "holy sh*t, this game is real and I can buy it?" feeling joy like a little kid again. I wantend on openworld Pokemon game with survival mechanics for so freaking long.
I'm curious what's your favorite starter from red and blue?

I wasn't able to get the gen one games as a kid. Caught up downloading them from the eShop on the Nintendo 3DS. My starter was Charmander and I would of picked that as a kid too. The only difference from playing it as a kid or adult is that as an adult I had a lot of knowledge from playing other Pokemon games and I knew Charmander got metal claw when it evolved into Charmeleon and you could do that if you grinded a bit before facing Brock. Kid me would of definitely struggled more
Palworld haters: There is no innovation.
Pokemon is just the same game over and over. Get your starter, battle the gyms, and then fight the elite 4 that’s it. There is rarely any innovation and they even get lazy with the monsters design as well rehashing the same ones over and over like there is 20 different Pikachus one for each fucking region.

My sanity levels went down as I read this article lol. Also I have had pals hit 0 sanity during some fights but they never attacked me. I wonder how that mechanic works?
@@maidenlesskalebI only had it happen once where a pal hit 0 and suddenly became essentially just a wild pal again and turned on me, I haven't seen it again since so I thought it was just a glitch or something
Wait that really happens? Haven't seen that happen to people like asmongold who is treating them like sh*t at his bases. Does it only happen if they are in your party or can they turn on you when their at base too?

You got algorithmed onto my feed. I liked this video a lot. I’m greatly enjoying Palworld. It honestly has no business being as good as it is this early into its life in early access. But man I love it. I’m also a die hard Pokemon fan. If The Pokemon Company could make a game in the same vein as this I’d buy 2. You also have a very good voice for content on here keep it up

@@maidenlesskaleb it’s HeartGold. I’ve played every generation and OG Gold resonated with me it was the only one I finished the Dex in at 10 years old haha and the remake while it has its flaws is my absolute favorite. I’m currently replaying Gen 5.

How far behind and under a rock can you be? People have already tried to say that and prove that they were made by ai but have no proof at all to back up those claims and all that bs was just made because they were all butthurt about things like pixels getting animal abuse. Why do you believe something so strongly with no proof like that?
If they gonna copy the design then they can just copy it why would you need AI to copy a design also that AI allergation is full of shit because new steam policy required the publisher to state if their game use AI to help on the store page wich the game that they did use AI have AI tag on the store page
Any time I see "game journalist" I just remember the "game journalist" who couldn't get past the "jumping dash" part of Cuphead's tutorial.
It's obvious this guy played the game for only minutes at most, probably never even got a Pal to start building his base with him
Sure it's lame just punching trees for wood but as soon as you get your Pals to do things like that for you, that's where the magic of Palworld begins. This game's all about the meta of job management and it's a system that works so well
That's one of the beast things about Palworld, having your pals grind for ore, or make things while you're out, or they can even bake food so you don't have to. Those systems in place take most of the tedium of grinding out of Palworld and makes it all the better because of it.
I restarted the game after level 30 once I kind of understood how everything works.
Those first few minutes of the game when you get your first cativvas and get them to start crafting stuff for you feel so good.
