- An excellent challenge DOM lock from AW Security in the UK. Also, this is the FIRST 3D printed key container to prevent me from seeing the key before opening the lock. VERY innovative!

Opening the lock: 1 minute 35 seconds. Opening the box: 2 minutes 30 seconds. Conclusion: Let's send Bill challenge boxes.

Never would have imagined 3d printed box would be that tough to break apart / open.
New idea let's start making challenge 3d printed boxes.

TIL, 3D printed plastic boxes are better deterrents than most locks.

You could have put the square box in the vise and opened it on the mill... or at least that would have made me less concerned for your fingers. Interesting locks...
Would have required a cut to the video though, making some doubt the validity of the pick.
Just an idea, I for one would like to see you failed attempts at lock, may be interesting/may be helpfully. Does not have to be edited just another vid of the raw footage.

Bill, you really need to get a proper circlip removal tool. Try one of these mbausa.com/circlip-removal-tool/
They have 12 in stock. If you already have a Stanley-compatible blade holder, you can get the pack of 3 circlip blades instead. They're a little cheaper and you could give some away if you don't need all 3.

The core was stretched from the tapping.

When lock cylinders are slotted like that, can you tension on the slot and stay out of the keyway?
No, not unless you have incredible hand/eye coordination. That slot really isn't deep enough to trap a tension wrench. It would have to have really sharp edges and you'd have to hold it PERFECTLY square - something I cannot do.

Yes, I do it sometimes. I also sometimes just turn the rear cam while picking. it can be done, but its not like you would do it if it was in a door..

HI BILL YOU NO I WAS OUT SHOPPING FOR A NEW PHONE AND I RELIESED THAT THOSE ,OLD TECH PICKS ARE USED IN LOTS OF SHOPS GLASS CABINET LOCKS U NO THE PICKS THAT ARE BASICALLY GIVEN AWAY TO BULK OUT LOCK KITS IS IT FEATHER RETAINER PICKS I CANT REMEMBER BUT I REMEMBERED U SAID PPL THINK THEY ARE SPACE AGE TECH BUT R REALLY REDUNDANT BIG STORES STILL SEEM TO USE THEM EVEN JEWELLERS

There's a pretty annoying audio issue throughout this video. It sounds like something is rattling or scratching the microphone. Somebody else maybe can describe it better but its quite obnoxious and almost ruins what is otherwise an excellent video!

I cannot explain this, nor can I hear it. I reviewed the raw sound AND the video direct from YT and cannot hear any "rattling or scratching". I listened through my computer speakers, iPad speakers, ear buds, good quality external speakers, AND a pair of high end Sony headphones. I DO hear road noise in the distance (I-95 is a mile away), birds chirping, and the occasional barking dog in the neighborhood -but that's it.
In the past month I have replaced my Blue Yeti microphone, installed a mic cover and a "spit shield". I also replaced all the florescent light fixtures, some of which had a slight buzz, with silent LED bulbs. My raw audio files show a flatline (near silent) background, except for the things I mention above.
I would ask that you try some different ear buds or ear phones to see if the sounds might be on your end. If you DO hear something, please tell me WHAT you hear and the exact time hack and I'll take a look. If there is a problem I DO want to fix it, but I need to know some details.
bosnianbill It's noticeable from 0:43, sounding like a tinny bird cheeping or a slight rattle. I'm on speakers and notice it in the background on different machines.
bosnianbill as the other guy said it's very noticeable from about 43 seconds and onwards. I notice it on all my devices and I've seen it commented on a lot of your recent videos. It might be something in the background but I'm not sure. It just sounds like something is rubbing against the mic as you're talking.... Not sure how else to describe it
