I agree 100%. When they drop one episode each week it gives you time to let that episode really soak in. Plus it gives us time to watch emergency awesome and learn the Easter eggs and theories between each episode. For example, the Witcher they drop all episodes at once, then the community talks about it for about a day and then it’s gone. This way we can immerse ourselves in Westeros for a few months.

Remains to be seen. I think we'll know more in the next few episodes.
The prophecy is only supposed to be passed from King (or Queen) to their heir. He’s not her heir. At some point, she’ll need to tell Jace. That may make his conversation with Cregan Stark make more sense to him.

At 11:35 if you read the text in the book, it‘s said that Daenys the Dreamer had claimed Balerion when he was no larger than a horse. So Daenys the Dreamer was Balerion‘s first rider.

@@badyoutuber1986 i think they mean the text on screen. daenys was never mentioned to be balerion's first rider in asoiaf, but it was very intentionally added to that text seen on screen (which is taken from the world of ice and fire, i believe, but with that line about daenys and balerion being a new addition that likely came from george).

Meleys and Sunfyre are probably my favorite dragons.
Also, Sunfyre and Aegon (despite I don't like the usurper at all) had one of the strongest connections in the books... Sunfyre would never let him down, and he honored his dragon changing the colour of the Targaryen sigil to a golden three-headed dragon.
I know next episode is gonna break my heart.
I think my favs are the Cannibal 🖤 and Tessarion 💙 I hope we get a chance to see them soon, but it probably won’t be for another season at least 😅

As someone who hasn't read the books and so doesn't know what happens, I'm wondering if that scene where Helena freaks out on the carriage at the funeral is to explain that although she HAS a dragon, she is completely unsuitable to ride it. I know she's weird and has strange visions, but if they had so few dragon riders and were desperate I could imagine they'd force her into it. But after that scene I realised, she can't even ride on a cart surrounded by large crowds, so how would she manage a wild animal in a war?
It also makes me wonder how the Dragon seeds will pan out... I mean, just because they are bastards and have the ability to ride a dragon doesn't mean they would be any good at it. Aemond and Luke were brought up around dragons and they lost control of theirs very quickly. I can only imagine someone inexperienced riding a dragon into a war would make things a whole lot worse as the dragon will just do whatever it wants and kill everything in sight. But because I haven't read the books I have no idea if this is an upcoming issue or not.

Vermithor and Silverwing are experienced dragons who are more tolerant of the presence of people and more accepting of new riders.
As for Adam on Sea Smoke. Yeah.. he is used to ships.
And the last on Nettles (who is rumoured but not confirmed to be Daemon's bastard daughter) we shall see. She is supposed to be cunning and fierce..
Haelena bonded with Dreamfyre voluntarily, but rarely rides her. Dreamfyre is a dragon associated with motherhood and dragon princesses and not combat. Dreamfyre is currently in the Dragonpit in chains.
Helenea does ride dreamfyre just not often , but they do have a strong connection
It would make sense if they are the Eggs that will later be Daenerys'. they sent them to Pentos, and that is where she is when she recieves them. Meaning that likely Targeryan loyalists kept them safe all those years for the day they would be reclaimed by her family.
Also, Alicent definitely knows she screwed up, she wasn't in denial, she was more in a state of anxiety realizing she completely screwed up everything.

Rhynes flies down burns some knights in theor saddles and then fights sunfyre and vehgar for literally 2 sentences before crashing into the ground

If viserys was as great as they like to tout why did they not respect his wishes?? Viserys neglected his children and failed to train/bolster rhaenyra for ruling. His indecisiveness is directly responsible for the dance of dragons :/. From characters constantly contradicting previous characterization to actions seemingly being forgotten or unimportant to every story moving action being an accident/misunderstanding. Every change this show has made has been SO BAD

The battle at the gullet will supposedly not be this season cause they only had money for 1 big battle so i truly wonder how are they gonna fit gullet, hightower and daeron vs the alans, riverlords vs lannisters, lakeshore, tumbleton, gods eye, etc. While also developing most of the charachters that participate of those events in just 2 seasons. Im truly worried for the cuts that will be made
So not ready to say goodbye to Rhaenys and Eve bests portrayal of her. It’s been so good. However, I know it’s pivotal for the narrative. It’s definitely the storm that we’ve been leading to. A true dragon battle!
The CGI has been generally high quality this season. Dragons are excellent - they've modelled and rigged those very well, with top quality skin and wing animation deformation. The virtual riders animate pretty well - nothing that pulls you away from the scene.
Some of the general 'drone'-style medieval town fly overs are a bit underwhelming this season (the stone materials and lighting aren't great), but they make up for this with the great CGI 'volume' backgrounds for towns and castles directly behind the real physical sets and multi-actor scenes. They have those down to a science now, after so many seasons of the original GoT.
The ocean shots with ships approaching land are quite polished; nice looking water and cloth sim on the sails.
It seems the network is still allocating a pretty solid post-production budget (and contracting good CGI outsource studios) for this franchise.
If they ever do a GoT franchise feature film for theaters, the existing team/crew (with a larger budget) could probably manage something impressive!
The war in a lot of ways is christisn Cole's fault.

I think Episode 3 was mostly mid or slightly above mid and I don’t buy Rhaenyra risking her life just to have a chat with Alicent. Alicent could’ve easily screamed and cried for help for her guards after she left regardless if Rhaenyra was holding a knife. I’m not sure that part was ever in the book. An added scene made for TV to have Emma and Olivia interact again. I did like the confusion of Aegon the Conqueror finally being solved.
The parts I did like from the episode -
- Rhaenyra and Mysaria bonding more. Mysaria is an important ally to Rhaenyra in this entire story.
- Introduction to Ulf the White. He’s likable now similar to Hugh Hammer. Let’s just say I will compare Ulf to what Paul George recently did to my LA Clippers. 💰 That is all.
- Introduction to Alys Rivers. When Alys said to Daemon that he will die here in Harrenhal, remember that the God’s Eye lake is next to that castle.
- Dream sequence brought back Milly Alcock for a surprise cameo and humanizes Daemon giving him a guilt trip over Jaehaerys’ death.
- Stunning scenery as usual. Love seeing the scene of Baela on Moondancer and seeing a forest in broad daylight. HOT D looks like an expensive TV series while the $180M The Acolyte does not.
I’ve been desensitized from The Boys for showing tons of male genitalia, so when I saw Ewan Mitchell show his cock, I wasn’t that shocked. It may not be his real penis showing either. That could be prosthetics or he’s patched or wearing a thong and the penis was CGI added. Rob Benedict who portrayed Splinter in The Boys S4 wore prosthetics penis and ass.
I was actually more shocked with Ewan’s torso. He’s ripped! Ewan is 27 but he has a ripped torso and isn’t Aemond supposed to be only around 16-17? But then it’s weird because Ewan still has skinny arms. Tiny biceps. He’s not like Manny Jacinto who actually has always been ripped even before he became Jason Mendoza in The Good Place and way before Darth Biceps.

Aemond showing his penis was hardly shocking if you watch The Boys. And again, it could be CGI or prosthetics. Aegon went back being a douchebag again bullying his younger brother.
The whorehouse scene with a woman sucking a guy’s huge cock seemed unnecessary. It’s obviously prosthetics because HBO can’t show porn. They couldn’t when they aired Real Sex and Cathouse: The Series.
I was actually concerned if Daemon was going to hook up with Alys Rivers. I was like, “Don’t trust that b*tch!” She’s like a witch. She’s future paramour to the full monty himself in this episode. The less interactions with Alys, the safer Daemon would be. Don’t trust these witch b*tches! Most I’ve ever seen Daemon look paranoid and afraid.
We got to see more of Rhaena at least. She had more speaking lines. But then she ends up being a babysitter to Rhaenyra’s kids since she has no dragon. Criston Cole with that stupid haircut and being a douche to Alicent’s brother who called Criston the “knight of comfort.”
Fabien Frankel might be one of the most handsome actors to ever portray such a hated character. I think he’s more handsome than Matt Smith and Ewan Mitchell but Daemon and Aemond are the Final Fantasy characters. Similar to Qimir/Smilo Ren, they can sell merch.
I just thought the last part between Rhaenyra hiding in disguise as some nun to speak with Alicent didn’t feel realistic to me. Why risk her life for it? Why not write letters and have ravens drop them off? Rhaenyra is the most important character to Team Black and she’s willing to risk her life to have a 3-minute chat with Alicent?
The reason it doesn’t make any sense to me is because there was already an assassination attempt on Rhaenyra after Lucerys was killed. Shouldn’t that be a point of no return? And Criston Cole looks like he wants war already when heading to the Riverlands. Why should Rhaenyra back down and risk her life by disguising herself only to speak to Alicent?
Episode 3: B-
Episode 3 felt like a filler episode before the next big one which will be Episode 4. Ep. 2 was the strongest one so far thanks to the strong acting from Tom, Rhys, and Emma. The next episode is going to be crazy: Battle at Rook’s Rest. If you know the outcome, I give my best to Eve. 😭

Based on how he treated Aemond u would say not wanting ppl to outshine him is right. He is very jealous and it shows a lot. He is jealous of his brother a possible stronger king and his sister the true queen.

I think that scene at the brothel with Aegon and Aemond is important as it shows that Aegon has been bullying Aemond for years. When Aemond walked away he looked fed up and ready to do something big. I think that Aemond is now in it for himself only and will have something to do with Aegon's injuries and burns in the upcoming battle with Rhaenys.
Wait you think while Aegon & Rhaenys is fighting he comes and tries to kill both of them ? This story is crazy if they go that way😂they changing everything

I don't think we will see the battle between and the two brothers in episode 4 yet. I think episode 4 and 5 will build up the differents battles that lead to rook rest and the fight of the 3 dragones + the research of dragonseeds. I might be wrong but I don't see this epic battle before the last 2-3 episode of the season !
I can't wait for this scene nonetheless ! Even if Rhaenys will be missed so much, I loved her character and actress on the show and the couple that she formes with Corlys !

It wasn't a couple of weeks since viserys died, it was a lot longer. Lucerys went to storms end from dragon stone which takes a lot of time + jace went to the north+ the vale, so yeah it had to be more than that + jaces hair grew out

It’s fun to theory craft about an alternative universe where Rhaenys did take Meleys with Daemon and Caraxes, and if they could have taken down Aemond and Vhagar together with no losses. Had they done that when Daemon wanted to, they likely could have avoided a ton of losses and bloodshed and ended the war pretty quickly.
Surely Gawaine has got to be more of a character than that! He could be the character that puts Cole in his place. Feel like Alicent put him in place as an insurance policy for herself.
