I cut box my k-frame and took out the steering box and drag link and tie rods and motor mounts, pitman arm and bracket and used a rack and pinion i use a motor plate, with my BB Mopar, saved 💰
Great Video, thanks I jut ordered my kit for my 70 E-body. The only thing that worries is having to cut out metal. So if one day I need to return it to stock is there a way to do so?? i.e. does someone out there make a kit for that lol?
Hey, does the aluminum caliper bracket go on the inner side of the spindle or on the outer side? I just mocked mine up this weekend and something seems wrong. Edit, figured it out lol
Mine are on the back side, I believe I might have had an issue where I had ones for a drum brake spindle instead of disc brake and I had to replace them. But I bought them from Dr diff and he sent me replacements as soon as I called.
What kind of shock absorbers did you install, since I'm about to buy the k member kit and I don't know which one it has, street application, do you have a part number?
I am using the qa1 dd502 with a 12 inch spring, for a street application I would definitely recommend a 10 inch spring as my 12s are all the way down and only have an inch of down travel which is perfect for what I am wanting to do.
@jennyespinosasoto2799 a 10 inch 350 would probably be my guess, check "checkeredracing" for scratch and dent springs I got mine I think for like 50 bucks
Have you installed front bars since you removed the inner fender aprons? If you are planning on out chassising anyone you have actually taken away. Hopefully you figured that out by now, I see the vid is a couple years old.
Now it has down bars that are tied into shock mounts, but the aprons had been out the car at that point almost 20 years. Consistently running high 6s with some good wheelies. We never had an issue with it moving or anything. Everyone says you can't but we must have got luckey.
awesome kit, ain't gonna argue!!

Sounds awesome! Still using torsion bars?
@@RobsGarage yes, will use aluminum strut bars in near future
What did you use for spindle steering arms?
spectacular...
astounding performance gotdaam 😬🤴
amazing kit bro!
in my humble opinion I believe that's awesome
i'm surprised you don,t have the shock tower supported by roll bar or original innerfender that puts alot of twist on the frame
it hardly can't get more sublime than this kit LoL

Did your factory spindles work…. I’m doing my swap right now and mine do not match up with the rack mount
Yes factory spindles and for the rack I used offset Bushings
First one in the comments! Lol. Looks good man, making progress. That's the important part.
Heck yeah brother, we just gotta keep chipping away at them.

Cool I flipped my bracket and it fit way better.
@Moparmaga-1 awesome glad it's better!
Did you have to swap the spindles left and right?
Sorry better late than never lol but no sir the kit come with the lower ball joints to place the pivot in front

@@RobsGarage thanks for the information friend, another question how many pound springs are 450 lbs?, regards
@jennyespinosasoto2799 I'm using a 200 in the front and 125 in the back, if it was a street car I would go 350-450 front.
@@RobsGarage My car is a 1967 barracuda fastback, it is for street use, what springs do you recommend?

you know what's working or not wow
What summit racing rack did you use?
Summit branded foxbody rack I believe it was 89 or 99 bucks
Did you ever put any miles on this front suspension? How’d it work out?
Honestly I haven't yet, car is at chassis shop finishing turbo and roll cage. I should real soon
How are the motor mounts done?
The k member has mounts on it and can add whichever you want while ordering from aje. I cut the off and am using a motor plate to the frame
@@RobsGarage thank you
I find this innovative if you ask me
Was that a tennessee tag?
