  • This is part one of the video on making your own Direct Connection K-member. I have been building these for years and, while parts are getting harder to find, this is a very cost-effective way to get a big block installed in your Mopar A-body. This part includes a brief description of the Direct Connection K-member and the cutting of the motor mount saddles. Part two includes the relocation of the saddles and welding.

    Going from memory in the direct connection catalog, you could also get a v8k member and bolted into your front wheel drive Dodge Daytona.

      Yes, it was offered, but much later than the DC big block k-member came out.

    Yes, the strength was the same with the exception that Six Pack and Hemi (I believe) had a skid plate on the bottom.
