Like many of the previous comments, the fish rescue made me immediately know I'm in the right place. I appreciate that you're not just ripping, roaring, and greedily taking the all pretty things, like some of the other rock channels, but genuinely appreciated and showing care of your environment. Thank you, it's a peaceful joy to watch!

Many of these agates hide their true beauty within. When you've sawed them open, you'll see beautiful patterns and colors. I opened some that a friend of mine collected in Germany. You get curious and very excited, because it feels like opening a gift from Mother Nature.
👍Thumbs up for your fish rescue💪

I'm a complete beginner in terms of rockhounding (planning on getting a tumbler for Christmas, looking for agate) and I could not find this channel at a better time!

You want bands. Come to the Cheyenne river in South Dakota. Most expensive agates in the world. Colors you've never seen in an agate. Fairburn agates.

I don't know much of anything about rocks, gemstones, crystals, etc- on a whim I just wanted to look up what people find, and I can find anything in my backyard. This is so incredibly wholesome and now I've subscribed.
I also asked my dad about getting a rock tumbler, and he said he's got a friend trying to give one away so great coincidence!

I know that feeling.... Light rain making the rock hunting a visual feast.... I love rock hounding in the drizzle and, besides the rain making the rocks easier to "see" I think cloud cover makes the colors more vivid...Bright sunhine tends to wash the colors out IMPO. Anyway great video... Your doing a great job. You are correct, you should stop second guessing yourself. Oh and dont worrying about coming off like a goob or dork... Anyone watching this video is a rock loving ground gazer and, what you're doing, is why they are watching!! Besides your adorable!! Happy Hunting!!

Just start by going where fill dirt is dumped or where tgeres a stream or a crop field? And just stand there or kneel? And just llok at the rocks. You want to train your eyes to look for a rock that stands put as.. different.
      And that's how you start...

But when i travel it is anything that catches my eye. A friend of mine once flew me to a remote beach in Alaska that was agate city! Wish i could remember the name of that beach. Your video made me so excited. It’s not because of the agate you found. My eyes keep moving with your lens. Every time I find that you missed a lot of complete agates and didn’t take them, you just picked up a small piece next to it. In front of the screen, I was more nervous than watching a football game, and yelled: "There is...the left side...then that...why didn't you see it?!" The feeling like the team I like was scored by the opponent Ball up.

I feel so incredibly happy, that there are others just like me. There is nothing in this world more peaceful to me, than just watching the ground beneath me, scanning the areas for visible treasures.
It's a long standing joke amongst my friends and family.
Don't let Sara wander for rocks, and will disappear for 3 hours, unprepared so every possible place to put.... HUNDREDS of these GIFTS!
    Cheers!

I just found you today and I was pleasantly surprised. I have always enjoyed rock collecting. My husband and I took our vacations on K1200 LT BMW that it became impossible for me to collect my rocks but my wonderful husband would pack them in a box and mail home to FL. It was always nice coming home because my finds would be waiting for me.

Old video, I realize, but my husband and I are just really new to rock collecting and tumbling. Not going to lie, we have a lot of granite and duds in our tumbler right now. But it’s been a fun four weeks - one to go with the polishing. Let me be a little more clear, I’ve ALWAYS picked up rocks all my life. The tumbling part is new. Too dang fun. ❤️

Can't believe what great colors you pass by. Makes me want to go there, definitely have the rock finder itch. I started taking rocks home from around 3 yrs old and after finding them in my drawers parents gave me a nice cabinet to store them in at age 6 lol. I'm now 68 and still have rocks in every room boxes bags tins... will need to go today.

I spent many summers in the late 70s thru early 80s picking rocks in Montana. Loved it. We had a summer business in west Yellowstone and a summer house outside of Bozeman. From 9 years old thru 22 thats pretty much all i did.
The Yellowstone river, Gallatin, Madison, cougar creek and hylight creek. Also fairy lake and the sheilds river. Man i loved it. My dad and brother would fish and i would pick.

I just found your videos and I love agates too. I started hunting them about 30 years ago. I have not had as much luck in one day as you did in this video. I guess location is important. I live in the northwest of Washington state. I love a lot of rocks, minerals and gems. However, my health is not good and I rarely get out now. But I hope to get out on a beach at least one more time this summer. Happy hunting and thank you for sharing your finds for all to see.
