I bought a couple vinyls, which is awesome. But Paul Romero's off-the-cuff rendition of Kelethin theme....just wow. I wonder if Paul and Rob would ever do a full version of that.

It would be awesome so see an episode about the online community of EQ during COVID! Special events, increased membership etc... is it brining more people back? What about online forums to find guilds etc that are starting up? Also- I bought the vinyl and LOVE IT!

Having recently returned to Everquest after an 18 year hiatus, I was really thrilled to discover your channel. While it looks as though you've moved on from it, I really appreciate the care and passion you clearly felt for it, and the game. Thank you!
Planes of Power is (probably surprising to no one) my absolute favorite EQ soundtrack. It's objectively brilliant, and I've continued to listen to it regularly for the past two decades. Thank you Paul and Rob for making such gorgeous music!
One small issue I think I discovered in the video, though: around 3:08 you mention that Paul and Rob composed the music for Dragons of Norrath. Searching online, I can't find anything that confirms that, and taking a look at the in-game credits (the server select menu has an option to view all the past expansions' credits), Dragons of Norrath shows the following: Audio Director: Heather Sowards; Audio Lead: Michael Smith; Sound Design: Chad Mossholder, Cat Neri. Of note, many of those folks went on to make music for EQ2 as well.
Dude at the end when he played Kelethin by ear was super awesome
Plane of Tranquility is one of my favorite chill tracks. There is a track from the Rujarkian LDoN adventures that, in my opinion, is really good as well.
as always, great job Fading, even when im feeling slightly burnt on EQ after all these years these videos over the past year or so have definitely helped re-invigorate the love for the game
It's a funny thing. The game is definitely showing its age; I simply can't get the same feeling from going through Clan Crushbone that I did back in 2001.
But when I listen to the music, it comes flooding back.

I was one of those kids that played too much eq as a kid, and one of those guys that played too much p99 as an adult. This is so good to see that it's almost hard to watch.

Your top 10's are so good. You have a lot of credibility and obviously have played the game a tremendous amount. Rob King & Paul Romero are true masters. They were able to capture the feel and the theme of the Planes so amazingly with their music. Love this episode!

Hope these guys can do some music for further expansions again. Those PoP sound tracks were totally amazing! Music adds so much to the atmosphere of the game, it s just sad we see so few of it these days

All of my favorite music came from Planes of Power, Gates of Discord, and Omens of War. I have all 3 expansions soundtracks and I often use some of that music in my dungeons and dragons games. I was very happy to see the Sol Ro music in your top 10! I absolutely love that one!

Excellent show! The music (especially from original) really brings back the feelings playing this when it was new and mysterious 20 years ago. I grouped with you (I think) on Mangler a few months ago, enjoyed it!
AMAZING!! I still play to this day. When Paul was attempting to do the Kelethin theme at the end (after never trying or hearing it), it sounded incredible! I want to hear his version of the whole song, ahhh!! @Paul, please make a video of this!! :)

Heroes III might have the best video game soundtrack of all time, had no idea the same people did EQ music. Amazing.

unlike many of the best everquest content creators who seem not to be making any content, you can find Paul Anthony Romero from this video. He has a youtube and instagram going which are pretty neat.
I'm cool with number one been lost in that forest for years and still love that tune.

As a fan of Heavy Metal music I love many of the EQ zone soundtracks, but always wanted to see a zone that had a "heavy metal" feel to it that could then take some influences from my favourite genre. Maybe one day. But the sound guys that work on EQ have done an excellent job of the music for years & I'm definitely a fan of their work & appreciate what they do.
There is a zone that has a metal theme, actually. It's in the expansion prior to the newest one. It's the Plane of Innovation (if I recall right) in EverQuest II. I'm also a metal fan, and was shocked to hear it for the first time!

Hi Fading, thx for the Everquest show. I want to suggest some features to EQ if you can talk with the developers:
1 - Capes, Cloaks and Hoods; ( To many Npcs have capes and Hoods, and the art too, why the players dont? EQ 2 have, so..)
2 - A new weapon: Crossbows. ( More range, More dmg, but a little slower than Bow). EQ 2 have too.
3 - A new Class: SpellSword. ( The true mix between Wiz and Warriors) I wait that since 99.
4 - A new Race: Vampires. ( Why not? EQ 2...)
So thats it. If they take one of this ideas should be great.

The Wakening Lands music outside of Plane of Growth is one that always got to me. As well as Plane of Valor, and Plane of Torment.

Qeynos bard guildhall has a catchy quickpace tune with a nice ending and can listen to it all day long.
Qeynos and Surefall share the same music but Surefall starts at the track that Qeynos should have started at as a build up to entering a majestic city like how Gandalf rode to the top of Minas Tirith imo lol.
Then there's Blackburrow which prob had the best creepy scary tune for the first dungeon you ever entered as a lvl 5 toon 20yrs ago but then that was my first EQ toon starting in Qeynos so others might differ having started in the busier starting cities of Freeport and in Faydwer.
One of the best memories back then was some lvl 30 cleric befriended me and my 2 RL buddies in Blackburrow then took us on an epic and scary journey to Freeport when we were in our early teens thru the karanas and obviously Kith! Ahh...the memories.

I used to turn off the music and use the in-game MP3 window to play the themes from time, justice and torment while grinding exp. Nothing besides the original theme will ever beat that Kelethin music though.
Ordered two of the vinyls 👌🏼 thanks for the heads up on it! I HOPE EQ comes back somehow. With a new entry. Just reboot the franchise. Same world but rebuilt... I'd buy day one

The Kerra Isle theme and the Othmir tribe theme are some of my favorites of the older music. There aren't many tunes in EQ that I don't resonate with Someone who played it.
