I have a laptop and there something wrong with the battery and whenever I put a bit a pressure on the battery it turn off. I’m not sure if I need to replace it or if there a way to fix it
A lot of the newer laptops don't have CMOS batteries anymore. Those settings are kept by the main battery. So to completely drain power from the motherboard you would disconnect the main battery.
Some screws are captive meaning they can be loosened but not removed. If they don't turn at all and the heads are stripped out you can try using a flat head screw driver just wide enough to fit in the divet in the screw head. Press down very hard and turn it very slowly.
How about if it will not turn on due to the hibernation and charged the whole night. I had tried already pressing the button for 30secs. and remove the battery but I haven't tried yet the CMOS
I have the same problem with my Ideapad 3 15ARE05 which won't turn on until I unplug the power and cmos battery. You said it was a common problem, so I'd like to know where you found this info? I'm hoping there maybe a common solution that involves repairing the motherboard. I can replace SMD components if that be the case.
When I just search for the symptom and the model number a lot of people were talking about it. The fix according to the majority of people talking about it is to replace the keyboard since that's where the power button is and apparently that is likely the problem. It could also be a motherboard problem in some circumstances.
Great video! Thank you so much. Managed to get my daughters laptop going again. My only question is why did I have to disconnect all the batteries internally to get it working again??
It's a little strange that you would need to do that at that particular time but it's not that unusual to need to remove the batteries for a time in order to get a laptop to turn back on.

Had the same problem with my lenovo ideapad 320. It was problem with the keyboard, when I unplugged and plugged it in again, my laptop turned on normally with both batteries in.
I also have this laptop. But the problem its not charging. Badly need your help guyss.
Try a new ac adapter. If it still doesn't charge change the dc jack in the laptop.
i am having somewhat simmilar issue with my ideapad 330 the motherboard and the power lights turn ON when i plug in the charger (I dont have a battery) plus mines come with builtin RAM. holding power button flickers the light on the motherboard but there is no display and the cooling fan does not come on.
I had similar problem earlier . the repairing guys told me the motherboard was dead. but later few months it stareted on its own. now its repeating the same issue.
Please guide me.
Most likely a motherboard issue
Hi, Great video.. got a Lenovo Yoga 710 and press power it doesn't post to Lenovo logo.. only thing that happens is the keyboard backlight blinks.. Any suggestions?
I have a laptop and there something wrong with the battery and whenever I put a bit a pressure on the battery it turn off. I’m not sure if I need to replace it or if there a way to fix it
Replace it
Wow I wasn’t expecting a reply thank you so much
The serie 320 doesn't include fan?
A lot of lower end laptop cpus don't get hot enough to need a fan.
Help! I dont have cmos battery on my Lenovo Ideapad 330 14 inch series
A lot of the newer laptops don't have CMOS batteries anymore. Those settings are kept by the main battery. So to completely drain power from the motherboard you would disconnect the main battery.
Lots of laptops have this problem bios freeze
Just replace the keyboard
I need help, three of the screws are stuck and won’t come out. And I don’t have a drill
Yep. Try cmos
@@MichaelTheComputerGuy I guess mines different as the power button is on a separate board connected with a ribbon cable.
What kind of charger did u use sir?
Happened to me but it turned on aftee i had it repaired, now it shows charging, but the battery percentage wont go up..
same here
did you resolve the problem?
@@krishnamoorthijayakumar951 yeah.. but for a short period of time only... now my laptop can only be opened when it is plugged in its charger... no batteries attached since i removed it already...
So i tried it but still didn't work.. What dp ypu think could be the ppssible reasons?! Please reply i need it for my assignments 😭😭
My power button led blink on whn i turn on laptop but off after 10 sec and not show any display during this in Lenovo laptop what i have to do
If you have the same model as this you could try following along with this video. You might get it working.
This didn’t fix my laptop issue. What would be the next course of action? Thanks
You need to start by describing the issue you're having.
@@MichaelTheComputerGuy After a power surge in the area I live in, my Lenevo e15 didn’t power on. Tried with a new charger, didn’t solve it. Tried removing the battery and pressing the power button for a while. Put back the battery, that doesn’t work. Resetting the bios also didn’t solve the issue.
@@ReceiveWisdom247 Likely the motherboard has failed so look for a replacement.
@@MichaelTheComputerGuy thanks 🙏
I have the same model of laptop. It suddenly doesn't turn on with or without the charger plugged...the charging led indicator doesn't lit up as well...what seems to be the problem??
It might be the same issue as this one. You can watch it and open yours up to try things.
@@MichaelTheComputerGuy hi sir. Thank you for the reply. Im scared to open it, I might accidentally do something that shouldn't be move/touch. Im planning to have it check since I realized that its still under warranty, I bought it may 2020...
@@pamelaadea hey pamela today same exact thing happened with my lenovo ideapad it will be a huge help if you could tell me what was the problem in your laptop????
320 15ikb: After removing battery and plugging in charger, laptop start (without pressing power button) with lenovo sign and shows "checking media" and sudden stop with a beep sound. What can i do now?
Make sure the boot drive, hdd or ssd, is plugged in.
What about when power and num lock are lit but have black screen ? Won't turn off
Do a Google search for that along with the model number of your computer.
@@MichaelTheComputerGuy the problem is every search I do comes up saying go to these setting or to turn the power off. I had to open it up and unplug the battery to get it to turn off. Thanks anyways:)
@@robburkhard9256 Follow the troubleshooting I do in this video. If you just have the screen, motherboard and ram connected,(neither battery) and then plug in power if you don't see video on the screen try 1 ram stick at a time. If still no video its likely the motherboard that needs replacing.

God bless you boss, my dead laptop is now live after 6 months of stress
Mine went on after removing the battery, what do I do next?
Put the battery back, let it charge for some time and see if the laptop will power on and off normally.
