I have a suggestion for new/different video content Chris... You can combine travel with visiting/staying with/doing a ridealong with other drivers around Aus. There's so much USA content (which l also appreciate greatly and learn from) but I'd be happy to be your experiment. You can visit us (up here in little ol' Cairns, FNQ), stay here for a couple of nights for nix and do a ridealong with me (and maybe other local drivers) for film content. You can do 'different shifts' with different drivers. I'd be happy driving with a YT expert (not interesting enough for my own channel, although an older lady in the space could be a laugh) but it would show people anyone can give it a go and help towards their goals. I multi-app the Aus 3 majors (UE, DD & Menulog) and going by my stats l do OK, and driving is my 3RD JOB. None of this only 2nd job rubbish! And I'm nearly 60! 😅 🎉 But anyway, an idea for more content for you. It'd be fun! 🥰
Great idea Nicky! Ive have a series called "The Great Australian Dash" I want to do where I just hit the road and lap Australia.... but for the forseeable future Im still held back from trying it with my full time job (need to buckle down to get a house for the family first and foremost). Hopefully I get some financial freedom in the future, then Im keen to really hit the road
Hey mate been loving this series you have been doing. May i ask what car insurance you use for delivering mate? I am on the gc and cant find any company to insure food delivery!
Good work bro enjoyed the video😎 pity Sunday was a bit crappy but you’re going to get days like that. I was thinking of doing a bit of dashing myself on the side and live near Nambour. Do you know if there is much DoorDash or UE action in that area. Look forward to the next vid
Nambour is pretty solid, Ive done alot around there. Alot of people from Woombye, Palmwoods and BliBli ordering from Nambour restaurants. Parking can just be a little frustrating around Curry St sometimes... alot of McDonalds orders from the traino
KFC - Same as me! I give them ONE CHANCE and dependant on what time it is, how busy they are and how long l have to wait, l usually end up have to put them on my BLACKLIST for the rest of my 'driving shift'. 😅 Not wasting my driving time on their low, long-wait offers bringing down my hourly earnings! All comes with learning our areas as we drive. 😊
Gday Chris, enjoying your videos mate!. I know its a long shot question, but do you know anything about Dashing in Perth? how is it over here as Im considering signing up?. Cheer Bro
Id say just hit my free sign up link in the description, and once you are through give it a few hours here and there to see how it goes 🙂 Most peoples biggest hurdle is just giving it a go
I thought that was an awesome amount, that you earned for the weekend. I really need to try some weekend work, along with 7am starts lol. Only issue for me is, im not good at waking up for a 7am shift or working in the evening, purely cause of sometimes stressing out during the day if i cant find a place, what the heck would i be like in the evening lol.
I don't do orders before 12-1pm, and that's at the earliest. I prefer to sleep in. Other than when I am grinding, or getting an order on the way to my real job, it's not worth sitting there waiting for things to open. Even at 7-8 am it can be tough.
I noticed DD is offering $4.50 peak pay on orders between 1:30pm - 3:30pm tomorrow (wed) on the Goldie. Thats pretty good, not sure about the sunny coast though
@@Daledugahole that will generally mean that they barely get any orders through that window and dashers genrerally just log out for a break then. $4.50 bonus on 0 deliveries is still $0.
@@AODigital-AU Nah there’s still plenty of orders coming in during that time, that’s why they are offering the extra money. I don’t know if it’s an increase in customers or a shortage of drivers or a combination of both but it’s been so busy here the last few months. I made $38/hr over the long weekend, sun-mon nights, declined so many orders they just don’t stop coming
Some probably popped up for demand on brief times but im generally not much of a fan of peaks. Peak pay isn't really to reward drivers logged on and driving, its purpose is to incentivise drivers not logged in to jump on.... so when a big peak pops up, a stack of drivers all log on, and I start getting wait time because the jobs are the sharing around a larger driver pool. Keeping busy back to back is better over a shift than having 15 minute waits between orders with a $5 peak
You shouls try your drive to survive challenge in Caboolture. I only have downtime when I'm rejecting orders, aside from that, it's pretty consistent and can easily breeze past $200+ per day without a dinner shift
hi mate, do you know if there is a doordash office in Brisbane, my account has been blocked, it is not possible to unlock through online support, I would like to try it in person at the office.
First of all delivering food is easy, we can start and stop when we want. If something comes up we don't have to get approval from a boss, we can just go handle it. Freedom. Freedom. Freedom
When you take cost of petrol, tyres, wear and tear of car you probably make 50% net profit. You better need to wear a bodycam like go pro recording when you approach the customer the door!
Tyres or tear is something it doesn't effect the car for years at least my car, the only thing you actually have to pay weekly is gas and nothing else, I pay 20$ for my gas for 2 weeks worth of use so is cheap
So what did you actually make per hour after tax and after fuel cost? My rough guess is $410 after tax then minus $30-$40 in fuel so you made $380 so your actual hour rate was $15.20 for 25 hours. You are better off stacking shelfs at Coles for a 2nd job.
@@danielle5980 WTF are you talking about? So how is $15 per hour after tax the same as $22 per hour after tax? When you work at Coles as an example, you are paid for the time you work, you don't sit around waiting for a shelf to be ready to be loaded with new stock. Also I don't use my car to drive up and down the aisles to stock the shelves at Coles. Also, you can walk or cycle to your local Coles to do your shift. You don't seem to understand how fuel economy works with short trips. Maybe you need to think before commenting as you sound like a fool.
MEMO--to---EDITING CHRISS---It would be very interesting if you would put your total kilometer's travelled in your closing summary. Thank you from the great unwashed masses of Uber and Doordash drivers out here in You Tube land.
Its in the back of my head for if the KMs doing delivery driving will be more or less then the flight hours from Australia to Japan and back 🙂 its on the radar

Omg. Ok so I think I got the hook turn figured out. Because you have trans and trollies come through. They can't just stop easily. So you have to get in a lane to turn right. But that's not the bad thing cause we have to get into a lane also many times. But instead of just paying attention to the traffic light in front of you turning green you also have to wait for the traffic light to turn green where you're turning.
And the hook turn only applies in a souther city called Melbourne, and nowhere else in Australia.... which causes alot of people from Melbourne to cash when they head up north.... and alot of people to crash when they go to Melbourne and go "how does going to the far left lane to turn right make any sense" 😂
You made a mistake starting at sparrows fart on a Sunday bro. In my exeprience the people who are ordering delivery on a sunday morning generally arent rising for a few more hours. Ive litterally never seen an order before 10am on a Sunday so I just stopped dashing that early. Best time window on Sunday Ive found is ~1-7pm.
