Hey man, I really appreciate your videos. when I was looking for a side hustle watching your content really helped, probably made around 2000 deliveries. As of lately I decided to do a carpet cleaning hustle. You can make $60 - $70 an hour and little wear on the car. I probably sound like an idiot but I just wanted to share my experience. I know as a delivery drive the pay is just getting worse and it's hard bloody work. Love the content and really enjoying the series.
Cheers man, and good stuff. Alot of cleaning services are really good side hustles (or good businesses to build). One of my close friends is doing really well with AC cleaning, so definitely try build out your small business over time! I wish you luck
Hi mate , pushing yourself like this takes a toll, used to work 60 hours plus and get no sleep , you do damage to your body that may not surface until you get older , keep hydrated and lessen caffeine intake . You look like death warmed up at end of video , but I admire your tenacity .
Thanks man, almost 3 years on the grind and almost at 1 mil views.... but I am still humble and self aware enough to know Im just a small fish swimming through a very difficult current haha. Its not easy
Sh!tshow Order - F'n F F F .... I f'n agree!!! Those orders (thankfully very few and far between) usually end the day for me. I get too frustrated with f'heads these days!!! 😂 Well done on finishing your series. Hope you both enjoy your trip. ✈️🇯🇵🥰
Congrats on achieving your goal big man, looking forward to what you having cooking video wise when you come back from your well deserved break. Safe travels!
When it says “number of items” for a Cole’s order this actually means number of bags. With both Woolworths and Coles, the employees are now routinely entering a false number of bags on larger orders to scam drivers into collecting them. They told me that some orders sit there all day and this is the only way they can get a driver to come and pick them up.
Hey Chris absolutely love your videos. Wondering if you have any new tips for a person who is just about to start door dash. I’m planning on starting my journey into door dash next week. Btw do you think it’s possible to make at least $200 a day from door dashing in Sydney?
Definitely possible in Sydney. Have a look on my channel page for the playlist called New Driver Training and Tips. Those videos are all packed with tips for new drivers
I just got back from a 5 hr daah run. Mate , after that KFC Caloundra debacle you had , i was crack8ng up in tears of laughter . I have experienced these absolute shit shows atleast 50 times before . lol😂
yeah I was thinking fuel would eat into a lot of those profits, as well as the tax man taking another hefty piece of that for an extra 1k income per week
Has anyone noticed the massive decrease in $$ per Km on UBER? Im in ADL and I used to get an average of $1.5 per Km but fir the last 2 - 3 weeks its been less than $1 per km for most orders.?
Honestly bro your big mistake is taking HJ's Maccas and KFC orders at all. I dont even give them a second thought any more its an instant decline and it legit had me running $35-40ph during main times no matter what day of the week it is. 5-9pm for 120-160ish no matter what day of the week usually. The policies the "fast food" places have for delivery orders generally is just going to cost you time, doesnt matter if its paying $2-3/km I wont touch it as most of the time you are guarranteeing yourself a 20 min wait before you can dash those k's.
@@chrisbooy Im not far from your area. People order a lot of that crap in mine too, still I find the 5 minutes wasted turning down the orders waiting for one from a store that can actually produce the order on time, or shop and deliver orders increases my earnings by a lot more than the 20 minutes waiting on that maccas or KFC order. People are ordering better food still, you just have to filter through those shitty orders until you get sent the right offers. Added bonus if the majority of us just stop accepting orders from those places is that they will be forced to make and enforce changes to their processes at a higher level of management to make it more efficient if most of their orders just sit there without drivers. Even giving yourself an amount of time you wait before cancelling is just wasting your own time and fuel. Better way is to only accept orders you know you will see through. Acceptance rate went from above 70% with earnings at 25-30 tops to around 40% earning 35+ on average. I roll a completion rate that never gets below 98% now because I dont even accept the orders that are basically a 50/50 as to whether its wasted time or cancellation.
Gave a thumbs up, BUT, Chris you have contact and feedback from all level of people doing this. What is your educated [ but reasonable ] guesstimate of what an experienced and job focused operator could make doing 8 - 10 hours a day, but not friday nights or saturdays?
I don't advocate for full time doing this at all in Australia. If you have 8 hours a day, 5 days a week to dedicate to work in Australia, any full time job will put you significantly better off financially over the long run as opposed to gig food delivery.
You can actually make ok money if you go hard but it’s not sustainable long term. You get so tired and your car will literally start falling apart. I’ve done nearly 6000 deliveries and put over 50,000kms on my car in two years. My car is bashed and bruised

@justme.9711 I feel your pain. I'm 58 and driving is my 3rd job - in addition to my (slow tourism) business plus my additional part-time job. I usually only do lunchtime driving otherwise my hourly goes down and my mileage goes way up! 😏
I use solely Uber Eats in my area mainly because I see a lot more DD drivers than UE. I can easily make $1,400/week doing 43 hrs. That's better than some FT jobs. Plus all the tax benefits for holding an ABN
dont forget to pay yourself super as well ;), also car insurance is more. I'd beg to differ you actually pocket anywhere near $75k over a 12 month period.
I've been dollar cost averaging on crypto since the first video on this channel (wide portfolio). Outside of that, S&P500 Index ETFs (IVV, VOO ectect without saying a specific fund, but S&P500)
What is it like in Australia. I mean as an American going abroad to Australia say. How is adapting to life and all. How is income. I ask this cause I have though about it for a long time and I'm just tired of the American dream being an American nightmare for me.
Cost of living is skyrocketing, taxes are high (income tax, extra 10% on everything for GST, and certain products have even extra taxes added... higher than California fuel costs), and housing is less affordable than in America (unless you already had your foot in the door before Covid because your equity exploded). Other than that, its good.
So federal tax is based on income level unless your rich then it's based on president level and party. But usually it's about 20%. Of income. State tax is usually 10%. This is all taxes based on employment. Some states have no state tax. Then there is FICA. Which is an additional tax. Then we pay .06 on the dollar for all goods as a sales tax. In Pennsylvania we don't pay sales tax on groceries or on candy. We have the Hershey's factory in Pennsylvania so we get except from sales tax on Candy. We pay added tax on tobacco and alchohol. The more state borders the tobacco has to go across to get to the selling state. The higher the tax. We pay tax on loans and on land and on mortgages. We get some tax breaks if we are married and have children or are taking care of an aging parent. But taxes suck here too trust me.

What car do you drive and how is the expense? Fuel? Maintenance? You should do a video
yeah I was thinking fuel would eat into a lot of those profits, as well as the tax man taking another hefty piece of that for an extra 1k income per week
@Jacopski Deductions KM all offset tax and if you have a newer car you pretty much eliminate tax a good accountant pays for itself
I usually earn about $100 in 3 to 4 hours active time and then minus fuel which might be around $10.
I’m able to hit 1k-1.1k working part time DD while doing my full time job.
How much fuel do you go through a night on average?
Averages 15% of earnings in my car... less if im doing more shop and delivers.... more if fuel goes up over $2L
Only way it's worth it is to either have no insurance or to have another job. Commercial car insurance can be really expensive.
