- This is my friend’s keyboard & his build as well.
He just ask me if I wanna try out the board & make some typing vids for this board.
A little info about this board, so It’s made by @ampersandyco the maker itself, but with a unique Sasuke engraving at the bottom of the board.
The board is using a Double O-Ring mount and this board doesn’t have any weight in it.
This VP also has 2 interchangeable bottom, there’s Alu Bottom & SS Bottom.
Not sure if it’s the board or just the mounting, this board just sounds very unique. Like It has It’s own signature sound. Very uniform & rounded sounding throughout the board.
The feel of double o-ring is really nice as well, fits well to my preference. It feels firmer than the regular o-ring mount we’re used to.
Huge praises to this board.
I’m gonna post the SS bottom version as well soon.

Thank you! Super stoked to have worked on this and really proud of the result. Looking forward to more commissions and making these to people’s tastes.
you did a great job with the board! me and the others who have tried it really happy with the board, keep up the good work! 👌
@@Kw1spyboards Looking forward to the stainless bottom sound test. I am trying to figure out if my next personal unit will be a stainless bottom one 👀
@ampersandyco sure sure I’ll tag you if I post the SS bottom hahaha
👀👍!
sounds really solid, even without a heavy weight!
very cool right
double o ring sounds so nice
couldn’t agree more hahaha It sounds so unique
Amazing soundly
thanks!
This is such a cool keyboard, really living up the custom keyboard expectations! The bottom of the board reminds of the kohaku, also the board sounds nice but a bit too “bland” for my preference. Amazing vid! ❤❤❤
thanks a lot! yeah fair enough, It’s preference at the end HAHAHA but glad you like it
And jelly spacebar
How does the SS bottom sound like compared this?
I’m not sure how to describe it, for me it sounds more solid and like It’s not as resonant as the alu bottom. I’m gonna post the ss bottom tommorow, so maybe you can judge it for yourself. It’s not gonna be super accurate but at least you can get the picture of how it sounds.
@@Kw1spyboards Awesome thanks!
does double o-ring feel similar to sandwich o-ring?
by sandwich o-ring you mean the burger mount with those small oring or is it another mounting? cause I don’t think I’ve ever tried sandwich o-ring before so I’m not sure how to answer that hahhaha
@@Kw1spyboards it's where the o-ring is sandwiched by the case. examples are sbl, gskt, otd 356 mini, etc.
ahhh okay2, I haven’t tried one of those boards before so I’m not sure if it feels similar or not
Variables here would be how much pressure is on the plate and therefore compression of the o-ring going around the plate/pcb assembly. For context, in this case both o-rings sit outside the switch cutouts so functionally, it is more like a sandwich gasket mount. One can argue sandwich o-ring boards are essentially Korns (drop in o-ring boards) with downward pressure from the top case of the designers choosing. Long winded way of saying, depends on the board you’re comparing it to. Velvet Pro isn’t crazy soft like a low pressure sandwich o-ring or drop in o-ring. I’d say it is slightly softer than top mount. Two o-rings is overkill but probably changes the sound profile since it alters how much empty space is in the board.
nice, perfect explanation hahaha
I just got into the hobby around Christmas and will be on my 2nd keyboard went higher on price cause wanted poly cnc but no group buys and the back design are a waste don’t even see it
Man what are you on about
