I purchased your first gen rifle back in 2011. Brilliant firearm. I purchased the best scopes I could afford at the time, a pair of Leopold mk 4s. They may not be up to the Kahles, S/Bender quality, but they are still going strong.

This is a good video; it covers the majority of questions that most novice buyers have while not overgeeking on the technical details.

You shoot ELR and like FFP? I find it to be pretty bad, especially with a tactical scope designed for shooting at 1000 yards. Maybe a P4 fine in an S&B might do but the Kahles is pretty fat stadia. If magnification isn't important, why are most newer designs going higher magnification?
BTW what's the connection between the DSR-Precision DSR-1 and the SRS design?

I use my reticle for hold-overs constantly while shooting ELR and I don't want have my reticle values change at different power ranges. In addition check out our AMR reticle it has more visible viewing space in the center of the crosshair than any other. :D

Desert Tech thank you this makes me feel a lot better about getting the rifle. It looks like a really great firearm and like anything that is new their comes some set backs. I’m usually an early adopter of many new things ie tech related. This will be my first early adoption of firearm tech. Looking forward to your response tomorrow. Here’s to weapons of the future.

@@eternalwisdom1 We worked through the issues with Ian, Karl, and Mike and have a public response ready to post tomorrow morning. We are eager to make the MDR better and better and have been able to make all improvements retrofit-able for our customers rifles and will continue with that mindset moving forward.

Come on Nick tell us what name brand scope that was. You would be saving a lot of poor slobs like me a huge headache if we spent $3000 on or own one of those defective scopes. In fact if I own one, I will send it back an buy one of your kahles...Come on.

Not to questioning your ability as a shooter, I am just asking for clarification on a couple things you said in this video that didnt make sense to me.. first on was how you didnt notice your scope got knocked off zero? If you were only shooting 600 yards at the time it should be pretty easy to tell that your turrets arent where they should be, and if you missed at 600 yards more than once, I would be questioning everything and not just my zero before the match was over.. second thing I noticed was about leveling the scope and something about only having half of your total moa as if 50 moa wouldnt be enough. I dont know what zero you are using but if you have a 100 yard zero,, I would question your rifle reaching 50 moa unless it was a 50 BMG.. the next thing I noticed was the price tag you mentioned and looking at the rifle im not surprised.. I am easily hitting 600 to 800 yards with a $700 DPMS AR-15 16" barrel with a $300 SWFA SS 12X42 scope.. And you paid how much for that glass? These things dont make sense to me and you didnt even mention tracking of the turrets, which is by far the most important thing you could want from a scope. That it goes back to zero,,,, especially if you are using more than 50 moa.. As I think about it, another thing you said,, you use mils instead of moa cause mils came in 1/10 and your moa was 1/2... They do make 1/4 MOA which what my scope is and is actually a finer adjustment than mils.. Goodness.. as I think about it. I dont really know what you are talking about. Im not trying to be mean at all and I hope you dont take it that way. I just dont have a clue what you are talking about

    • @RB-xv4si

He definitely talked about accurate turret tracking. You need to watch the video again. If you think you know more about this subject, go make a video and post it.
