struggle with tempo, swing way to hard sometimes when i know i have enough club, believe its confidence in the process, started doing this drill and one other tip to stop coming over the top of the ball, immediate results not 100 percent yet and might never get there but took everyone's money on Saturday going back for more to Sunday great input, great teacher wish you where local. NY
Some awesome content in there Eric. Tempo is key to playing well I think the leapfrog drill is great practice for dialling in your distance control and will reap rewards with the short game
This is absolutely brilliant. I know I’ve said it many times before, but I’m going to say it again: the way you explain concepts is exceptional. Thank you for these tips on tempo!
I'm a typical amateur golfer, my handicap ranging from 4 to 40 mostly depending on my state of mind when I play. I have to say the grip pressure and breathing was such a great tip and easy to practice but the indirect benefit for me was focusing on that stopped me from over thinking my swing. Too many swing thoughts is my Achilles heel so a great couple of tips in this vid that so far have helped a lot!!
Thanks Eric- 8 excellent tips to work on. Really enjoy your style, explanations, and teaching methods. Have you produced any short game videos? Thanks again, Your 🇨🇦 Friend
Thx Man! Thank you for your explanation. I've had a problem with rhythm for a long time and thanks to your explanation I now have an idea how to improve my swing.
Like the triple screen with driver and 7 iron and wedge comparison . I believe Nicklaus wrote when he felt his driver was the same swing as his 9 iron it was going to be a great week. The student in the background might need some tempo and reverse weight shift help😊
The one I got sent to me is the 1putt , they ran out last year , charged us , then sent us the 1putt, problem is no directions or info or website, no big deal if you don’t remember , I still enjoy your videos and response , Thanks Tom K
Hey Tom I have never heard of nor seen the one putt so no way I promoted it....unless someone did that with our videos unknowingly. Please share if you ever find....I have never seen that before
Last one I dont quite get, you describe swinging at different speeds for different distances. Then that some players have slower tempos but same speed… is there just a difference in the acceleration for each tempo and that’s what we’re trying to find? the best acceleration rate, “tempo” that feels good for us?
Eric, can you do a video on release for a draw and release for a cut? I’ve come to find out shot shape is more influenced by the release than anything else. Was a slicer of the ball and I’d never release the club. I tried to really turn that thing over and with an open clubface at address I’m talking almost 45 degrees if I picture snapping that ball over I can. Number 1 problem for me for years was holding off the release, I’d manipulate the club, I’d have an extra strong grip close face and could still only produce a slight fade with my best shots. I just feel the release mechanism of the swing would really give a 💡 moment for a lot of us thanks
Tom Watson always said he tried to downswing slower than his backswing. Obviously this was a feel for him, but definitely along the same lines like your discussing.
I don't manage consistent grip pressure, it starts quite light but then as backswing stars it firms up and stays that way till after impact. If i try to loosen the club feels like it's not in my control.
Have you ever tried holding your breath underwater, I feel like some of that relates to this, trying to get in a meditative state relaxing all muscles and just floating, its the face feeling that comes to mind for when you described that relaxing of the face. Float like a butterfly sting like a bee.
Get the correct size grips for your hands. Any time I buy a new club, I need to re-grip it with a midsize grip or I must increase my grip pressure and it throws off my swing and accuracy. When I see people with bigger hands than mine using standard size grips, it's no wonder why they complain about being consistent.
I appear to have a mental block where I cannot currently swing with an easy tempo because I don't understand that the club is doing the work for me. I want to trust it but at the moment I just can't.
We humble hackers learn more by watching v.good players like Eric than the deluge of too much information in print etc. More better to let this video soak into one’s bones and adopt what you need
Grip pressure and beathing was absolutely brilliant, glad you brought it up.
Thanks! Hope it serves you well!
One of the best golf instructional videos I have ever seen. THANK YOU

Couples has the smoothest swing.
Fantastic swing!
Tension in your jaw: chewing gum! Watch Tiger!
Maybe that's not good for him :)

Start short and slow and gradually build your way up!
@@CogornoGolf this video definitely helped and I will start doing that. I just can't translate that to the course just yet

부드러운 샷에 대해서 설명하는데 뒷배경에서는 아주 경직되게 강하게 치는 연습을 ^^..아니겠지만요.
