- Travel with the train driver as we journey from Dandenong to Pakenham in the east of the state of Victoria, Australia in a Vlocity railcar. This is an update now that Narre Warren has a new skyrail station. December 2023

Have been waiting for this hehe, thanks for the vid man!
Same. Also is it just me or do the horns sound a bit off in this Vlocity?
You're welcome. Different vlocity units have slightly different horns. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😀
Have you had a chance to drive the new high capacity metro trains that use the Cranbourne- pakenham lines? I only used them occasionally but am impressed, the drivers cabin looks like the velocitys
No, I drive for Vline these days so I won't get a drive of the HCMT at all. 👍😀
Another great video
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😀
Beautiful video well done 👍
Thank you. Very happy you enjoyed it 👍 😀
Brilliant video
Thank you. Very happy you enjoyed the ride 😀 👍
Superb!❤
Very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
2:55 are you required to use the whistle when running express through a former station?
The rules just say stations but I like to toot just the same. 👍😀
Was watching you approach Berwick and heard the Low-High horn both on my computer and from outside as the empty Bairnsdale Vlocity was on its way back to Traralgon. Same driver perchance? 🤔
Hmmm... you never know 🤔 it's possible 👍😀
G-Day to you Putty Cat and 667, its Monday morning here and I just woke up, Its cool down down some what here once again. I see that you step- up in the World?
We're flying high today 😀 we have rain and storms here during our summer 🤔🤣🤣👍🐈🐈
Driver it's mudhole heaven for Metro..
🤣🤣👍😀
This is the year when Pakenham is boom gate free
I reckon it will be close but not quite 🤔 🤔👍😀
SAVE THE BOOM GATES.
BOOM GATES MATTER.
😁
@@emdB67 there will still be a couple left but for how long 🤔😀👍
jesus.
So many changes
they changed cardinia road about 4 times in 10 years, whats the elevated section in pakenham
Pakenham skyrail coming soon. It eliminates the crossings through Pakenham. 👍😀
You know the clay patches means the ballast needs attention 🤔
It’s been replaced with silt.
You know the wide gauge means the ballast needs attention! 🤣🤣
(Ok, I'll see myself out...)
😀😀👍
Horns sound a bit tired!
They've been working hard non stop 🤣🤣👍😀
Have you got any morning runs on the Bendigo line?
My roster moves around a lot. I've been around the north east and east a lot lately. 👍😀
Whats the "s" at 0:55? Also why does the vlocity have 2 horns?
Siding
As stated, S - siding. Vlocity horns, high note and low note. For example at a station the low note might be better to not deafen people close by. 👍😀
@@driver667 I always thought the low note to signal train is leaving the platform and the high note is a warning when it comes to crossings.
@@Mediawatcher2023 there is no actual rule to how it is used but I like to use the low note when there are plenty of people around departing a platform. 👍😀
@@driver667 ahh ok
In this case Metro needs to look after its infrastructure, Oh sorry I meant the taxpayer. It’s a form of erosion, If unchecked over time there be no base/support for the sleepers.
Hmmm... 👍😀
It’s the whole rail system not just the area your showing.
