With more research about questions and concerns about the process of the application, I was able to find and wouldn't mind sharing about the "social media user ID." From Facebook, "Your User ID is a string of numbers that doesn't personally identify you but does connect to your Facebook profile. You have a User ID automatically, whether or not you choose to create a username." Meaning you input the string of numbers under the settings or address link from the social media for that section 7:16

Could you please make a video on completing the NVC application and how to upload the required Civil documents and joint sponsor along with other tax documents? There is not one single video on the topic in TH-cam. I can't wait to watch your video on this topic. Thanks a lot.

A bit confused about "Have you traveled to any countries/regions within the last five years?”.
The headline of this section is related to work/training/education.
Are they asking if you've traveled for any of those things in the last 5 years? Or general leisure?
    It changes the question entirely.

Hi, I appreciate your video. It is really helpful. I have a question. For example, I am the principal applicant going to submit DS260 form myself and my three children. My husband (who is also live with me in my country) has some business issue and do not want to accompany with me to the USA. He wants to migrate to the USA after one or two years. To submit my and my children's DS 260, if I choose for my husband FOLLOW TO JOIN and do not submit DS 260 for him, would that be too tough for me to get his immigration processed after one or two years once he is done with his business in my country. Would that be a case as like a green card holder applies for his/her spouse where it takes 3/4 years to get the immigration visa? Or would be a much simpler process.? Please reply.

Hi Kseniya - thanks again for a very helpful video on the DS-260 application - have couple questions if you can answer . First , my parents who i am petitioning for are in India but English is widely spoken there and all their official transcripts are in English . Does the Full name in Native Alphabet apply to this case since the native language is not English ? Second, can i give my US address as the permant address to receive their Green Cards ? I believe you said they dont need it when they travel to the US after the consular interview is complete ? Appreciate your help on this.

Great overview. One question though: When answering the question "Have you traveled to any countries/regions in the last five years, Is this question referring to the applicant? If so, if the applicant has traveled to other countries in the last five years for vacation, does the applicant still need to list these countries or is this question only referring to travel related to work, education, or training?

Since I was living with my spouse over the seas, not in the United States, I waited a year living in the United States to do my taxes. My question is, should I file my taxes as a married, or it doesn’t matter if I do it single. Rather not to do it within a married status because she doesn’t have a Social Security number yet. I will take a long time to get the process done.

    • @KseniyaInternational

If you’re married you must file taxes as married as per IRS law. But you can file as married separate. TurboTax has a great guide on how to file taxes with a foreign spouse WITHOUT having to apply for ITIN/SSN.

Hello, thank you for your video. I would like to ask for a clarification if you know the answer.
For AOS, you can file the I-130 and I-485 concurrently. But that's not the case for consular processing. Before filing for DS-260, you have to wait for your I-130 to get approved. Is that correct?
I'm trying to understand which process takes longer from beginning to end (Adjustment of status vs Consular processing).
    Thank you again!

Hello Kseniya! I filled I-130 for my parents. I by mistake put married instead of saying single.DS-260 , it's asking to put spouse information, but i'm not married. What shall I do?

Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) validity for Mumbai, Consulate
Hi guys, could anybody please be kind enough and tell me the validity of PCC in 2023 for US Consulate, Mumbai, India. My interview is on the 5th of Sept 2023 and my PCC date of issuance is 20th December 2022.
Even the official embassy website states that you don’t need a new PCC if the one submitted to the NVC is less than two years old.
However some sources say the validity is 1 year and others say its 6 months.
I am in a deep conundrum as there isn't enough time to apply for a new one. Seeking a reply at the earliest. Thank you.

Everywhere I read is 6 months but nothing country-specific

I would steer on the cautious side and get a newer one rather than older one.

      @@KseniyaInternational hi
The issue is that there aren’t any available appointments to apply for a new PCC before the interview. The latest appointment available is on 20th October which also fills up fast as the slot opens only for 5 mins.
And the official embassy website says that if your PCC submitted isn’t older than 2 years you needn’t get a new one.
IMP- I have also asked in many Facebook groups for IR1 Visa and everybody’s saying it’s valid for 2 years.
Why such a disparity? Any idea how do we get clarity regarding this? I am really worried.

Hi, So im filing for my parents that are currently in a foreign country. My mother on her passport has her maiden name because at her home country she isnt married, but when she lived in the US for a few years she got married to my dad so technically she took his name. Do you think it would be ok to put first her maiden name and then the married name?

Hi, I have a question. When we filed DS-260 last year we were Indian citizens and now we are Canadian citizens and for my daughter the previous Canadian passport is expired now and she has a new passport. So how can we update that in DS-260 now as it is locked? And our present address have changed as well although mailing and permanent address is same. So how can we make all these changes?
    Thanks

Hi Kseniya! Thank you so much for all that you continue to do! You are so thorough and eloquent! I had one question for you: My I-130 was recently approved, I am in status, in America on an F1 visa. My ID, SSN etc has my new marital name however my passport from my country of birth still has my maiden name. Is that an issue for completing the DS-260 application? Again, i am currently in America on an F1 visa. Thanks in advance for your time!

My question is, since you’re in the states, why are you completing DS-260 and not I-485?

    • @KseniyaInternational
      @KseniyaInternational  ปีที่แล้ว

While your DS-260 should be completed as passport info, I-485 can be completed with new married name if you have proof of it, i.e. SSN, ID, marriage certificate

@@KseniyaInternational Hi Kseniya! Thank you sooo much for your quick response. I concurrently filed the I-485 , I-765, I-131 and although my I-130 is approved on USCIS portal I haven’t received the mail notice with the next move. I thought the DS-260 would be next but based on your response , doesn’t sound like it since I’m in the US. Just trying to gage my next requirement. 😬😬

My EAD is approved and received the EAD card , last week I received email from NVC which says I have to complete DS-260 and interview location is in Mumbai India. Do I have to fill the form even though I am in states ?

@@recallfun11since you are in the United States already, the form is I-485 wich is adjustment of status and the interview will be in the US, for the DS-260 is when you are outside of the US.
