G923! I bought mine around 12 mths ago. It was a roller-coaster of emotion. I bought mine for drifting on GT7. At first, I was excited..... but it was hard. I persevered. But 6 mnths in, I wasn't making progress. It was only after update 1.51, and the new physics changes, that I said to myself "make this work, or get rid of it". Then...... magic. Everything made sense. I started to understand how the game communicated essential info - info that is ever-present in real cars; the "seat of the pants" feel, inertia, a sense of speed - feelings that con not be communicated through eyes and hands alone. Now, I'm having the best experience ever. I have 2500+ controller hours on this game, and despite being able to EASILY go back to controller, I dont have any desire to do so. I don't want the controller to "corrupt" my feel and intuition (for lack of a better word) on wheel. Could/would I be happier with a more expensive DD wheel? Yes. Am I super happy I started with a 923? Absolutely. Thanks for the vid, and happy steering!

I’m currently A in GT7 slowly headed towards A+.. learn race crafts clean racing and find your fave track and use it as a test track for all your fave cars like Top Gear has its test track around the airport… mine is Lago Maggiore… my PB is 1:51 with soft tires in Gr3 car. Lmk if you beat it lol PS: $199 is a steal for that wheel.. after holidays it will go back to $279 like always..
@WilliamShakerTech I'm definitely going to hold onto this wheel. I actually got a killer deal on everything. Black Friday, I got my PlayStation VR2 for $349. Then I got GT7 for $29 dollars, and now the Logitech G29 for $200. I can't wait to play, I will update you on my times. But this beginner is gonna do horrible at first, lol.
Ya that’s solid! As a beginner, focus on lines, brake markers etc.. I recommend turning off all assists day one (except ABS). Keep track lines for the first 10 hours but then turn them off.. you can keep brake markers on.. I still run with it. PS: after 5 hours, manual transmission only. This is the quickest way to get faster / better.
I would have traded a MotoGP subscription for Gran Turismo 7 too. It hasn’t felt the same since Valentino Rossi retired. Although his last few years weren’t great either. I got GT7 this Christmas 2024, and will be using it on a hand built SIM rig with the G923 wheel and PSVR2.
I agree.. but now he’s rocking with car racing.. once a racer always a racer. Love Rossi ❤️ though I gotta saying with Martin winning.. I’m really excited that 2024 ended in a good way.. not a big bagnaia fan. 2025 lookout for Marquez in red.. gonna be fun to see what happens!
@, that being said we’re very fortunate here in New Zealand to get all the MotoGP practice and races for free in our national television station ThreeNow. I have seen Rossi racing 4 wheels and love it. Not a fan of Marquez since 2015, but being from South Africa 🇿🇦 I do support Binder. Would love to see him on a Ducati though.
Raced a Logitech G920 for a year. 4 months ago I bought a Logitech Pro System. This way I can mix and match if I have a part do down on my Pro rig. Got the addon half wheel and rim two weeks ago. May not be faster with the pro but 15 minutes back on my G920 I am just as fast. Yes 2 full sims now. My full rig, triple screens and a kick ass computer. My half rig on an ultra wide monitor I put in my box trailer and play it out on my campsite at the trailer park. Both rigs set up the very same way except for video settings in computers. Six months of winter when old system is home the Grandkids play on it and not my full rig. CHEERS!
I currently have a Thrustmaster T-150 wheel that is showing its age and I'm looking to upgrade; the problem that I'm seeing on most of the wheels in my price range, there are no buttons high up in the center on the left and the right (that I use on the T150) that are perfect for your thumbs that I use for look left and look right (on the T150) are there buttons on the G 923 that you had mapped to look left and look right? Thanks!
Should we get the pro strait up. they said it works with every console. Mostly going for pc. Still thinking getting the old g27. and just go pc legit. for racing games. Forza is on pc. SO IDK.
Ya but you’ll never know if this will be a hobby that will last 7 days or 7 months (or 7 years) this is why it’s best to start the inexpensive route as I discussed in my video. Search FB marketplace, most people sell expensive hardware weeks after purchase and lose a ton of money because it’s very time consuming and requires a lot of practice to be competitive or good. My 0.2 cents. PS: at least with G923 you get back at least 70% what you paid. Good luck getting back 50% with expensive rigs.
Well I guess I took it as you’re 100% new to the hobby like most people searching for this wheel but if you have dedication, time and money, go for the big boy hardware.. why not.
@@WilliamShakerTech is it larger in size then the average size one's. That is what worry me. If it's the same size. then all good. It says it plays on xbox ps5 and PC. Mostly PC use. But people bring there consoles all the time to the home.

@@WilliamShakerTech yeah, not expecting a video, was just surprised that someone with such an immersive setup wasn’t using a PSVR2, but you are so the point is moot.
Well, I’m not impressed by it. I know it’s one of the cheapest wheel and wheel bases you can get, but I think anything from a Thrustmaster TX to any of the Moza bases is a better budget option. Sure you pay a little bit more, but they feel so much better.
@@WilliamShakerTech I have not used the 300RS, only the TX and the TGT 2, and never had a overheating problem with them. And even if they are at the same power, the smoothness of the belt beats the cogs of the logitech wheels every time. But if I were to start today I would go for a Moza R5 or R9. @WilliamShakerTech Moza R5, CSL DD 5nm. Both available as bundles with none loadcell brakes for not much more money. Both are far superior to the Logitech in this video.
@UnitedFan3001 You said not much more expensive but the G29 can be had for less than half of these.. Current pricing is $199 on amazon. Moza R5 is $440 --- CSL DD is $450. That’s more than double.

The Logitech G923 is total trash. It is garbage. The pedals are terrible and it won’t take you two or three weeks to find out. In fact, logitech is doing away with the whole non-series line. They are trash. I’m telling you do not buy one. They are garbage.
While some may view the G29 as outdated, consider this: a pro gamer used it for six years and was ranked in the top 1% of racers in iRacing before eventually upgrading to the G Pro. I ride motorcycles, and I often hear people on my channel bash 400cc bikes as “boring.” Yet, a skilled rider on a 400cc can easily outperform most riders on liter bikes at the track. Take Suellio Almeida, for example-the person I’m referring to. These days, he coaches real race car drivers, but for six years, he honed his craft on a G29. It’s not about the gear you have; it’s about what you can achieve with it. Here’s his channel: youtube.com/@suellioalmeida?si=0NPJYIlOc2lPM4G8 It’s well-documented that the difference between a direct-drive and belt-drive wheel has no significant impact on lap times. Like most things, there are plenty of shiny objects to choose from-some people make decisions with their wallets, others with their skills and determination.
So im guessing you guys have never been in a real race car? Everything shakes so hard your eyes get blurry, the movement of the car is not smooth and steady like grand turismo. Does GT even have damage yet? Do the cars dip on braking or lean in corners?
If you think the Logitech is the creme de le creme. Wait till you upgrade to a 12, 16 or 21 newton meter. AND get way better brakes....You'll get orgasms...
I play @ 8nm.. My hands are already in pain after playing for 3-4 hour stints.. I’ll stick to G Pro because more is not better for me. As the G Pro brakes, they are amazing already and I run them at 30lb of force... plenty

Lmk if you beat it lol
PS: $199 is a steal for that wheel.. after holidays it will go back to $279 like always..
Do I need to buy the shifter/handbrake if I'm buying g923 wheel and pedal?
Binder on a Ducati.. wow lol imagine that.
You’re set up is awesome!! Does the G29 come with screws to mount to a sim rig?
Thank you! Yes, you can check it out in the scene where I bolt it to my table.
@ ok sorry missed that thank you 👍.. I know I’m gonna get addicted to this it looks so fun 😁 by the way liked the video
CHEERS!
Not interested in sim racing but I want a decent wheel for casual gaming and teaching my daughter how a real car works.
“Not interested in sim racing” proceeds to say wants a wheel that basically mimics how a real car works. Brother that is exactly what sim racing is.
I currently have a Thrustmaster T-150 wheel that is showing its age and I'm looking to upgrade; the problem that I'm seeing on most of the wheels in my price range, there are no buttons high up in the center on the left and the right (that I use on the T150) that are perfect for your thumbs that I use for look left and look right (on the T150)
are there buttons on the G 923 that you had mapped to look left and look right?
Thanks!
The buttons are already mapped but you can also customize them.
@@WilliamShakerTech
Which ones are for look left and look right
Idk bro.. I’m not tech support haha.. JK.. you’ll find out when you use it.
@@WilliamShakerTech
I take it you don't look left and right, lol.
Is Logitech 920 good as starter? I got a good deal for that and would like to use it for Euro Truck Sim 2
For Euro Truck Simulator I would recommend the Thrustmaster T248, simply because it is better adapted to the game and is also recommended by the game
Do a review of the PRO please!! 🍻
Ok fine I guess I have no choice lol 😝
@@WilliamShakerTech
Yeah son lol!! You wouldn't happen to have NR2003 would you? I'm curious if the PRO will work with it. Thanks! 👍🏻
just scored me the g923 used like new for a damn good score
You really have to try out Assetto Corsa Competizione. I like the feedback way better than GT7 and am running the same setup. Won’t regret it.
Ya it's on my list for sure! Too bad Evo is a long way out.
I have a madcats wheel from 2 decades ago for the og xbox and ps2
Well I guess I took it as you’re 100% new to the hobby like most people searching for this wheel but if you have dedication, time and money, go for the big boy hardware.. why not.
@@WilliamShakerTech is it larger in size then the average size one's. That is what worry me.
If it's the same size. then all good.
It says it plays on xbox ps5 and PC.
Mostly PC use. But people bring there consoles all the time to the home.
the price looks dumb to me.
If it's legit at least for pc. It can be something to keep for an enternaty.
PS6 is bound to happen within 5 years maybe.
What chassis is that
on console it’s really stiff the turn how do i fix this i downloaded ghub and it turned fine but when plugged into the ps5 it became stiff again
You can adjust FFB inside GT7.. just not sure about other games.
@ on carx you can change it as well. But it stays stiff or has no ffb at all. Sometimes i get it to work but most of the time its either of those.
Turn the torque to ten. Steering to ten. Feedback to one. Vibration to medium. Also make sure it’s plugged in the back usb port on ps5.
As a newbie and hours of recherche I skip Logitech and start with Fanatec. The fact of changing and using several different kind of wheels and the direct drive mechanic, Logitech is now a toy to me. 😂
Should i get the moza r3 or g923 for Xbox?
starting with g923 but moza is WAY better if you’re hardcore pro
I'm surprised at the distance between you and the screen. Happy racing.
I’m surprised you aren’t using PSVR2 to complete your sim rig, any reason why not?
I’m using it.
@@WilliamShakerTech oh, ok- just didnt catch sight of it in your vid….
I got it after the video. Everyone has already done a PSVR2 video.. I may pass.. it won’t be anything new.
@@WilliamShakerTech yeah, not expecting a video, was just surprised that someone with such an immersive setup wasn’t using a PSVR2, but you are so the point is moot.
Get The PSVR2 to use with GT7....LIFE CHANGING!😱
Very nice
Are they too loud to use in an apartment building?
Not at all!
Nope
You may want to put something under the pedals. Not long after I got my rig my neighbour down stairs asked me if I had taken up tap dancing. 🕺🕺🕺
G923 or MOZA R3?
It depends.. Moza is twice as expensive.
Well, I’m not impressed by it. I know it’s one of the cheapest wheel and wheel bases you can get, but I think anything from a Thrustmaster TX to any of the Moza bases is a better budget option. Sure you pay a little bit more, but they feel so much better.
The TM T300RS has FFB fade after playing for 5 minutes, then it feels like a 2nm Logitech so imo the G923 is a better value. Review coming soon.
Sure, it’s probably double the money of the G29/G923, but it’s more than 2x better.
Oh for sure, the smoothness of the TM is way better.
the moza r5 base alone is 430$ 💀
@@SKYAstrxl The r5 bundle with the rim and the pedals are 439$ from their own homepage. On black Friday, you could probably find it even cheaper somewhere.
Learning to drive the car and getting to understand how it handles is FUCKING FRUSTRATING !! LOL
THEN you need to learn how to set the car up to get it handle better,,, Thats MORE of a learning curve...
Skill issue tbh
dude you can't race on an office chair. it moves.you clearly were not racing on a chair with wheels.guaranteed
The flex with those Playseats are a No-Go. Why on earth are people still keep buying this crappy shit? Try Oplite GTR S8 ELITE. I know… u have to spend a little bit more but it is worth it!
4:10 no not exspensive hobby. Try car or motorcycle hobby. Or even cycling😂
It’s expensive because you’ll always be upgrading.. it’s nonstop. Of course there are more expensive hobbies. Here is my motorcycle channel: youtube.com/@petrohead?si=ltTdu1xDcDDi-CRD
@@WilliamShakerTech yes. Every hobby is exspensive as long as you are upgrading. Sadly the truth is ever hobby is cheap at good "entry" level. I saw at expo that you can buy pedals for 3k per pedal for sim 🤯
@@WilliamShakerTech when I started cycling I started with alu roadbike it was fine..... but I still uppgraded 10 times. That's why I started my mc hobby with a ktm super Duke 1290. Thought i would be my only forever bike. But I still upgraded 🤣. With 6 ducatis etc. Nowadays I try to stay att good value used level. So I can doo more hobbies 😁
@@lordbentley730lol.. you will never own just one bike.. in 3 years I think I had 7 bikes haha.. anyway see you on my moto channel.
Neither of them, there are much better options for not much more money than both of those.
Like?
@WilliamShakerTech Moza R5, CSL DD 5nm. Both available as bundles with none loadcell brakes for not much more money. Both are far superior to the Logitech in this video.
@UnitedFan3001 You said not much more expensive but the G29 can be had for less than half of these.. Current pricing is $199 on amazon. Moza R5 is $440 --- CSL DD is $450. That’s more than double.
Team G29 !
It's waste of a hell of a lot of money just for outside stimuli ! These are useless contraptions that keep people lazy and gain weight when playing a real sport or Martial Arts would be way healthier.
Here’s his channel: youtube.com/@suellioalmeida?si=0NPJYIlOc2lPM4G8
It’s well-documented that the difference between a direct-drive and belt-drive wheel has no significant impact on lap times. Like most things, there are plenty of shiny objects to choose from-some people make decisions with their wallets, others with their skills and determination.
Both are terible.
GT sucks compared to GRID LEGENDS, the whole driving software is levels above.
Lmaooooooo
lol
They let you habe access to the internet in the insane asylum!?
So im guessing you guys have never been in a real race car? Everything shakes so hard your eyes get blurry, the movement of the car is not smooth and steady like grand turismo. Does GT even have damage yet? Do the cars dip on braking or lean in corners?
@mentalmoto763 LMMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Gon head and be quiet champ... 🤫
As the G Pro brakes, they are amazing already and I run them at 30lb of force... plenty
