I’m 19 and this is the first car i’ve ever had (300c), I know some about cars but i’ve never really actually got in and worked on one. Anyways. it didn’t give me any problems the first 2 months I had it, but I did notice there was a small leak coming from the radiator and just last week it overheated on me and I was sure it was the radiator. Long story short I took it to 3 different shops and was quoted $400-$750 to just replace it! I looked up this video and watched it over a few times , I ordered my own radiator for $95 and changed it my self in about a hour and now it has no problems. DON’T BE AFRAID TO WORK ON YOUR OWN CAR! thank you 1A Auto.
6 yr later and still helping people save money.. Used ramps in my driveway, competition videos had you do way too much. Thanks for this proper video.
I've done a lot of my own work on my Charger because of this guys videos. thanks again.
God I have to really thank you. I went every step of the way on this and I swear so easy to learn by you guys. Great job. Thank you so much. I'm finished and did it all by my self.

Just bought a 300C knowing it had a leak and I would have to do the work eventually. Glad to know I have a full walk through to reference and a good source to buy that part. Thanks guys!
Thanks for checking us out. 1aauto.com +benjamin lundell
Great job. Wish I would had watch the video prior to hiring someone that didnt know what they were doing!!!! He took the condenser out with the radiator! He did not disconnect them from each other! Now I will have an issue with the condenser as all the hoses have been disconnected! Being a women & watching this step-by-step I should of done it myself!
Thanks for your help.
Great video did this job on my 07 magnum 3.5 v6 this past weekend and it’s wasn’t as bad as I thought I’d be. Video was spot on. My Maggie of course had the heavy duty radiator instead of the standard. But, all in all simple. I did remove my whole bumper assembly just to tighten up my pre installed 5 piece grill. Super duty radiator people just take your time and wiggle wiggle wiggle she’ll come out. Just watch the two a/c lines behind the lower radiator hose return. Now a/c is super cold.....burr. And heat is hellish.
Thanks for the video! Your concise instructions and step-by-step removal and install helped me on my 2008 Chrysler 300 Touring today! One thing I would mention, I saw in your video you had a cold air intake instead of an air filter box. It helped to also remove my air filter box in order to get the radiator out past the filter box....other than that, all the same. Thanks again and I will certainly keep 1A Auto in mind for future parts!
William Hutcheson yeah I ran into that issue too! Once removed, made putting in the radiator a snap.
I love the 1AAuto vids, but i saw that u put the wrong coolant in it. U never want to mix 2 different types of coolant. FYI
What will happen if you do?
Two quick notes: (1) You don't have to cut or remove the bracket that holds the connector on the fan (time 2:01). (2) Make sure you transfer the old plastic/rubber trim flap things from the old radiator to the new. I assume they're there to direct air into the radiator instead of escaping around the edges (5:39). They just snap on/off.
Great Video. I wish I could’ve purchased from you but unfortunately I needed it same day. Thanks for posting such great instructions. 4.5 hours start to finish.
Just wanted to come on here, take some time, and thank you for this video. Helped me replace it with so much ease, so for that, thank you very much.
Man used this video today...perfect!!!..2005 Chrysler 300C
+Jay Royster We are glad that this has helped you out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com
How long was the process

+Kou Xiong Thanks for checking us out. 1aauto.com
Thank you saved $500 from this video
Show the bleeder valve when replacing 2008 300 radiator....that makes bleeding air simple, Great A1 parts!
I have a 2009 dodge charger 3.5 V6.
I did everything you did in the video but, I'm having a heck of a time pulling the radiator out. The bottom right inlet hose housing keeps getting stuck where the 2 condenser hoses are.
How can I move them out of the way w/o damaging them?
Awesome video. Thanks so much.
Me and my son have now replaced a fan thermostat and about to do a radiator thanks for the vids
What about the srt8 that has a transmission cooler mounted on the front? Will the old transmission cooler mount easily onto your Radiator?
Best video ever 100% Helpful.. Thank you
+Nelson Ricardo Montalban Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
Awesome video this is exactly the way you need to take it out no need to take off the bumper no need to drop the bottom brackets good job

guy must have been driving on the beach with all that sand in the rad lmao
07 3.5 300 bought a new radiator it had 2 choices at autozone one for dual fan or not i took the dual fan papers say severe duty 2 the inlet is 1.75 way bigger then my original one in the car and its a thicker radiator this new one any idea where to get the hoses as it does line up perfect with the bolting
thank you , i have 5.7 that started to slightly overheat when outside temps are high, and vents can not cool it down fast even on idle so i think that a/c radiator is full of trash and should clean it but have to remove engine radiator, that would clean it too, to raise air flow through both of them
i done this yesterday and on old car it is very slow job- many screws are rusty and spring clips are pain in asss-very strong and hard to expand it to move - i changed it with clips on screw, cooling fans removed to above but installed from below, radiator side covers does not move, radiator removed and installed on below, and bolts that holds condenser and radiators were rusty and i could not unscrew, so i decided to remove front facia and then everything become easier, i washed condesner with pressurized water to remove dirt from it and i took engine radiator to house and washed ribs with high pressure water and there left big bunch of small sand that was in radiator grill, and other dirt, about 5 hours of slow job, i had car raised for 20cm from ground
I didn't see the weather strips on the old or transferred to the new radiator. Are they omitted for new install?
+Nat Rumph Thank you for checking us out. With the aftermarket radiators, this weatherstripping is not always necessary. 1aauto.com
This video helped me a lot
Is there a difference in radiator for single fan and dual fan?
You guys are awsome you explain great

Good job brother. You helped me out
My radiator is fine from a technical perspective.
It just has a lot of dings, and rocks littered through out, and replacing it makes me feel better.
I blame the grille having WIDE gaps.
+Crimson Vulpes Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
man this is a great video👍👍👍👍
+Chavez I Thanks for watching. Hope this video helped you out. 1aauto.com
Good looking out.. did the job like if I knew what I was doing ..
+Manny Casas Thanks for watching. Have a great day!
You left out how to bleed the system when done. there are two nipples on a bracket on top of engine near where upper radiator hose clamps on to, to release the air in system. but other than leaving that little bit of important information out great video.
+mx748 Thank you for your feedback!
This video worked great on my 08 magnum 3.5. I would advise bleeding to purge all the air. Bleeder is on top of the engine, on the upper radiator hose flange.

These cars use hoat red coolant. Green is NOT reccomended for newer chrysler vehicles. (Red and green coolants actually create clogs, some sort of chemical reaction occurs)
Had a coolant leak was suppose to be a 20 minute job to change the hose but I have to bleed it cause there’s so much air in the system but the bleeder valve is stripped and can’t get it out without and extractor and can’t fit the drill unless I take the radiator out for more room
Do you need a jack stand or can you just
Do this with the car sitting on the ground ?
Do you guys carry that same cooling fan assembly if so I need it asap, btw nice video!!!
Any video on a ac/compressor replace??
+DOOMz Morales We currently do not have an auto repair video that covers this particular repair. We will keep this request in mind in the event that we need to make this repair in the future. 1aauto.com
@@1AAuto thank you!
ca u show me a video on a 2008 Chrysler se ring conv 2.7
+Frank Statham We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Omg I couldn't figure out where the bolts that hold my radiator in were supposed to go and I couldn't figure out why my radiator wiggles back and forth. Then I saw you putting in the brackets and I looked at my car AND THERE ARE NO BRACKETS. Just 2 4 inch long screws with wing nuts not holding anything.
Thanks man!!!
Y set the heat on the lowest setting I thought put it on high and anyone know another way to bleed a charger 5.7 I can't get the bleeder valve open an I don't have a vacuum to use
Tisk...Forget your radiator to condensor seal? See the rubber flap covering the core support at 4:17.
Why was the fluid in there orange at first then you added green? Does this actually matter what kind is in the vehicle? If so then what is the difference?
On my 09 charger 3.5, at the top of the radiator, there is a wide long piece of rubber. is it mandatory to put it back on the new radiator? What purpose does this rubber piece serve?
Thanks a lot for your video and free help.
That sounds like it is just a plastic panel to tidy up the engine compartment. It is not required to reuse, but we recommend it as he will help keep debris from the road getting in your engine bay! 1aauto.com
Will this work on a 2019
Where does the drain hose go I have mine just out and it’s leaking all my coolant
1aauto has correct fit parts
You did a shoty job bro left the air seals off not cool no pun intended
So I don't need an engine cooler or transmission cooler?
Will this same process work for 2010 dodge charger sxt
+Citi 973 The installation process should be very similar for your vehicle.
"Man, how did they get the fans out so easily?" [notices the V6 on the engine] "Oh."
Where do I find the thermostat on a 06 chrysler 300 3.5L..?
If it's the same as the 3.5 magnum, follow the lower hose up to the engine, it's tucked up in there behind the power steering pump. Remove the power steering pump bolts and set aside. Loosen AC pump bolts for more access.
Can u make a video where to remove the computer for Chrysler 300 2005
is it the same for a 5.7 HEMI? 300
+luiseno This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular engine size. Thank you for asking! 1AAuto.com
How can i protect the radiator from not getting stabbed by the fans in case it brakes??
Can I do this on my 5.7
you should , everything is the same
thanks but you didnt put the rubber air guards back on the bottom. why?
Any 2006 dodge Durango oil pressure sensor replacement
What's up with the check engine light?
it is for next video
Will this same process work for 2.7 L
+Tony Hernandez The installation process should be very similar for this vehicle.
@@1AAuto i got another question what is a estimate. on where the top radiator hose goes to the pipe of the bleeder valve housing . How much would something like that cost just the pipe that slides in and out
Lower wind dam removal and installation is frequently glossed over in these videos.
Thanks
+The Ice man Series Thanks for checking us out. 1aauto.com
and if you still run the stock intake, you won't get the rad out with it in place, at least in the V8...
Car is running over normal temp what's the problem
How come you guys never work on the 5.7?
+Chris Miller We try to make videos for all types of cars and trucks. Some, like the 5.7, we just haven't gotten to yet...but it is on our list of vehicles for how-to videos.
Do I need to bleed my system?
+David Garduno When you fill the system back up with coolant you will need to let all of the trapped air find it's way out. 1aauto.com
How to replace a single fan on a 2009 300C.
Thanks for this
Why do you guys think we all have the capability to lift our cars up in the air?
Larry Demoret he says also that you can use jack stands..I did.
Larry Demoret it’s called a jack
I thought it was common practice?... I mean I got few jacks and a dozen or so jackstands lying around my garage ranging from small to large heavy duty ones... Is that overkill?
i made some called steps from old wooden boards- lower is longer and every other is shorter to get nice slope to be able drive car on it, i made different hight for front and rear end, and when car is up, i can get below on wheeled board,
Plastic pos radiators dont last more than 5 years changed it twice once every 3 years
Wrong coolant
+Juan Gonzalez Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team.
Fake SRT lol
Does this go with the 2011-2016 5.7?
