I struggle to see this game staying around long term. Overwatch 1 worked great but it had a lot of hype and launched to millions on the beta. Now, even on a f2p model Overwatch isn't looking good profit wise by all indications for Blizz and has basically been killed outside of seasonal updates. Concord will probably get updates and be around for a bit, more so for legal reasons than anything because I'm sure that's a lawsuit if they just shut the game down immediately. Interesting take though since not many people take up for this game.
@playkellyplay Yeah that's because the gameplay is actually good. Like I've seen only a small amount of Concord gameplay but it looks so bad. The art style, the TTK, everything.
Concord may not be DOA, but it's lifespan will be extremely short at best. The game just isn't fun to play compared to the already existing hero shooters that do it better. (And it costs $40. Woof.)
This video was in fact an opinion piece, front loaded with my primary opinion, and backloaded with supporting historical evidence, and basic consumer statistics. Thanks for attempting to watch the video. Concord is only so much as dead as people want to believe it is, but the game hasn't even launched. I think like The Finals, Concord won't prove to be super successful; but, it is a Sony first party title so I think fanboys and collectors will pick it up. Concord, in my opinion, is far superior to Overwatch gameplay and power-balance wise. You're welcome to not agree, but have you played the game rather than just watch influencer videos? It's definitely a Guardians of the Galaxy ripoff with bland characters, but it plays well. And the game launched in beta, meaning as per usual that there were likely dozens of UI features stripped out or designed last minute specifically for the beta. My only argument is that the game is going to do just fine at launch.
Doesnt matter what the PS numbers "are", they arent showing them, so if you see a 2k open beta, that will discourage most people to drop money on the game. Also its an competitive FPS, PC should be the driving force for it, since competitive FPS games on a controller equal total garbage, cancer gameplay. I just want to see if its gonna do worse than Suicide trash.

I agree to the first part, disagree with the second. Really like Concord a lot more than Paladins and Overwatch.
