It’s sweet but like several hours every morning. That’s a bit excessive. It’s like those lifestyle videos that talk about being productive in the morning by journaling, doing yoga, making a healthy breakfast. Not everyone wants to wake up at 4 in the morning before their 9 am job to do all those things. We’d all love the luxury of having extra time so yeah sometimes you can get a little bitter. But no need to write hate comments right lol

As a 4th grade teacher, I hammer this into my students basically everyday: "If it doesn't apply to you, then ignore it!!!!". If I get on to the class as a whole, to save time, they should know that I am only talking to THOSE students that are not listening, goofing off, or beint disrespectful. Bc if they aren't doing anything wrong, then they shouldn't feel targeted when I address everyone. Hopefully my kids don't grow up to be these people.
I teach 5th grade and it is such a hard thing to drill into them! Omg and they take things so personally when it’s not needed at all. Some are better at ignoring than others but overall it’s a struggle .

Exactly. Mental health content on social media does not do a good job at explaining the diff between intrusive vs impulsive thoughts. I thought I was ADHD but turns out I actually have OCD, which is of course characterized by intrusive thoughts.
Intrusive thoughts are ego-dystonic, meaning they cause internal distress. Impulsive thoughts do not - these are the thoughts that are like "you know what, I'm gonna go on a spontaneous trip" or "I'm gonna eat 4 cookies instead of 1." Acting on impulses can def cause problems, don't get me wrong, but impulses themselves don't usually cause distress like intrusive thoughts do.

I once tweeted about something I thought was funny and ended it with "I CAN'T BREATHE" bc I was actually laughing so hard I was practically wheezing. I'm ashamed to say this but I was in a few "feminist" groups on Facebook because I like the memes but I had to leave because girls would literally post prints about conversations with guys, conversations that to me had nothing wrong but the guys were "bad talked" for the eternity, called names, and one of the rules of the group is "you can never victim blame" and it maked my stomach hurt to see guys being the victim, doing nothing wrong, and we cannot even say anything or you'd get banned. My mom died and I would NEVER say something like that to someone and it breaks my heart that people are so miserable that they want to take the joy from someone else. I will admit it makes me sad sometimes because I feel like I’m missing out but it makes me happy to see others happy.
The crazy thing is that even if your mother has passed ( mine has) you can still buy flowers for her at home or take some to the cemetery, you can write a card or letter to her ( some people burn them afterwards, others keep them ), you can just spend time remembering them. Mother's day doesn't exclude anyone. Some people use the day for any parent or even grandparent, or guardian.

I had a classmate in high-school who acted just like this 💀 you could never say anything negative around her about anything because she would always say "but what about x,y,z?!" Ironically, despite treating everyone's negative opinions as crime, she constantly bullied everyone verbally. And for the smallest things as well💀 i remember talking with my friends about which is better, using a razor or waxing. When she heard that i prefer to use razors she shouted at me, called me disgusting and told me i must be embarrassingly poor if i cant afford constant waxing. Needles to say, when i was talking about how i want to have a high paying job she always said something like "well, actually, not everything is about money. No this is true, I worked in a restaurant as a server and our special soup that day was Tomato Soup. The thing about cooking for neighbors is soooo weird. There are many, MANY cultures where it is actually rude to not to introduce yourself (to/as a new neighbor) without at least a little bit of food, not to mention the holidays. I was so surprised to see this kind of reaction to a totally normal (and encouraged in many countries) behavior
We do not know details… on one side it could be very lovely gesture and on the other it could be pretentious and saviors behavior… they just could have party and couple pizzas or what is wrong about ordering pizza or delivery food? This type of behavior is exactly what pushed me over the edge and made me never log into IG again. Someone got super mad about something i shared, left a paragraph of a comment taking it way out of context, disrespected my entire family, then summed it up by giving me "tips" on how they would have shared it. Omg this video is such a great reminder for me to just step away from social media when im not in the right head space. I'll admit, I am guilty of sometimes commenting crap on posts as well, literally just to pick fights in the comments section 😭 and after a few days of break from social media when i come back to my projecting comments I'd just feel horrible for it.
I think its important people understand that social media has become majority of the people's trauma and shitt behavior dumping ground. If you're ever feeling down your social media is what you should RUN AWAY FROM FIRST. People need to understand that your negative energy should be channeled into better things than posting it on social media 🙂
Same here. I’m guilty of being like that on social media too whenever there’s some misery going on in my life. For instance, from the reactions toward the lady having coffee with her husband, I interpret that, and most romantic posts, as insecurity and jealousy. Because they feel so unhappy and lonely about being single or unloved that when they see other people online living their dream, they feel the need to bring those people down and vent about why their life is so horrible. I do go through something like that sometimes, and getting off social media and immersing myself into the real world helps me re-evaluate my toxicity stemmed from personal issues.
