Once i was babysitting a little guy who is autistic. He only draws cars and roads and does it in a specific way. So while chilling with him i asked "why do you have to draw that way every time" and he said "because God made me this way" and i was like "darn right he did". That was the only explanation needed.

She is the purest soul I’ve ever come across. I never witnessed so much genuine and unconditional kindness until I watched Love on the Spectrum several years ago. It seriously changed me as a person and I am so happy that you chose to give Abby her own platform so we can continue to learn from her and admire her from her Throne that the absolute Queen that she is. Hey, a lot of us are like this and many many of us do not have any kind of intellectual disability. So-- we're out here to date for people who can actually handle being real with another person. But a lot of us only date within the community now bc it gets upsetting/frustrating that non-autistics lie and are waffly on their values and so on.

I have adhd and sometimes I get hard on myself and wish I wasn’t neurodivergent. I’m a Registered Nurse and focusing while working in a busy hospital can be hard. Abby reminded me that I wouldn’t be me without my adhd. Thank you Abby 💕

I watched love on the spectrum..and she reminded me of a little girl that I met as a child who had Autism and she and her brother lived on Tybee Island where their family had a bed and breakfast. One of the coolest..sweetest natured kids I was ever around in my childhood. She LOVED disney just like Abby....and she was like 4 at the time and could quote every Disney movie like word for word...a total misunderstood but genius brain! Amazing!
I just KNOW her mom is so proud of her and so happy to see her thriving. You can easily tell how much love and support she was brought up with. ❤🎉go abbey!
I'm also on the spectrum but I believe this isn't what should define us. Sure it's part of who we are but ultimately it isn't who we are. We are who we are, just another person in the rat race trying to compete and survive.
My daughter is 8 and has autism and i pray she figures out life and thrives like Abbey when she gets older Abbey has it together im sure has bad days but she is so intelligent and has great emotion my daughter is full of emotions but just can't express herself and doesn't understand life yet but Abbey gives me hope ❤😊
Unfortunately, we're only shown the positives with Abbey. The other side is, she is fully dependent on her mom, sometimes mom has to wash her and even clean her after the restroom, and she needs mom around 24/7 basically. I think it's due to the mom's prior lack of knowledge on autism and was afraid to teach her things about adulthood. Abbey is stuck at mentally 6-8, it appears.

He is verbal and out going to the point of SCARY. I had to keep him under my constant watch, just due to his o:erly trusting nature. He also repeats his phrases like Abbey. I love these beautiful souls.. there is nothing i would rather do more, than be here for these kids. They really are the light of my life.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Good lord.... my sister, who worked her ASS off at college and now is working her dream job, is exactly like this. She never got a proper doagnosis because her intelligence is so high, so shes had to work SO HARD, but she did, and now shes living the life shes wanted since she was a child. Its incredible, and shes one of my heros and best friends.

I worked in group homes mainly with people with TBI but I also ran special Olympics a few years.Its astounding how much better people with accepting families do!

The end of the series when she and David were in Africa and they sang the lion king whilst sitting outside, in their apartment garden with a stunning view, was one of the most soul warming moments I have ever witnessed. Pure, innocent, uncomplicated, love and joy.
