As you said at the beginning of the vid, Mitsubishi created the SUV as we know today, but with a big difference: the Pajero can be driven hard and fast off track and was designed as a proper rally car!

My family had a 1990 Mitsubishi Galant - one of the few non-Mercedes cars that AMG tuned a version of interestingly (Most likely not a single one of those even made it to my country though). Looking at the manual, there were instructions covering using the 4WD system, adjustable suspension (Ride height and damping I think, controlled with buttons in the car) and climate control (None of which we'd ever seen in real life in any car at the time). My parents bought it because it was the only car we tried with a wide enough back seat to take 4 children across it... The manual had beautiful manga style pictures to explain some of the car's features too. Mitsubishi were a genuinely amazing car company back then - and that's before I discovered they were a vehicle sponsor for Jackie Chan's movies (Have a look for the Lancer Evo and the Pajero stunt driving in 'Who am I' for example), he had a Mitsubishi microvan in 'Wheels on Meals' too. He also showed up with Jaws from James Bond movies as a codriver in Cannonball Run 2 driving a Mitsubishi too...
I love the Dakar, I live in Argentina, and even though that when they brought it here wasn't still the same (less sand, more dirt and mud) it was one of the first big racing sports events I was able to see and the huge crowds of peoples, the noises and sounds of those engines running at the start in the streets of Buenos Aires made me get so much into cars. So please make an episode, I would truly love it (and put the footage of Robbie Gordon Hummer getting out of a hole by a Fiat 147 in one of the first South American Dakars)

Gotta miss the Pajero too! That beast used to be one of the go-to choices among politicians and upper-middle class families. Seems like the Montero Sport takes it place, but I guess it could hardly match Pajero's status symbol level.
I'm currently still driving a 2nd gen pajero. Its like a zombie car. No more AC, no more power steering, has oil leaks & radiator leaks. But still keeps on running. It had lots of accidents & damages during its time but I only had one major accident with it during my use.
