The coolest part is that it rocks an inline 6 just like it’s bro the GTR R34, except this one is for climbin’ stuff! And it also came with a diesel engine under the hood paired with some turbos. This is the story of the Nissan Patrol, now named the Armada.

Also the Y62 launched in 2010 also still in sale.
And we got a face lift for 2020 model that looks amazing

Those 4th Generation Nissan Patrols invaded Middle East by storm with their outclass capability in cruising desert unlike any other (sometimes even without engaging 4x4). Excellent TD42 diesel engine in other markets.

The Y61 is still sold as brand new cars in the Middle East and comes in 5 or so trims and 3 body shapes: wagon, SWB and pickup.

Used to drive Landcruisers, but switched to Patrols in 1984. Have only had 2 since then, an MQ, then a GQ in 1998. Still driving that every day.Unstoppable and cheap to run, even in extreme outback conditions, where I live. Long may they run!

So I love this channel and this episode really make my day, but being a patrol owner in the middle east, there were some mistakes in this video.
1: The nissan patrol y61 is still under production just for the middle east.
2:The nissan Y62 just got an update for 2020.
3:The pic shown for the VK56 was the 317 horsepower variant and not the 400 horsepower one.
(The ever famous headers and intake "filter" is associated with the y61 immediately.)
4/5: How wasnt the GTR powered Nissan Y61 mentioned which beat the 918, which featured on the The grand tour.
All in all the 1st video aired after james recovered was about the patrol means alot to me,probably all middle eastern subscribers.

I lived in south Africa for 6 months. I hated Toyota before but sa runs on Toyota. If you saw the Toyotas I got to drive at work. Sometimes at the end of the world. But they work. So back in Germany I got a Toyota hybrid instead of a BMW again. Guess what 300 000 km not failures.

By far the best 4x4 we have in aus, and there are some truly epic conversations done on them, from LS v8s, barras, Cummins, 2jz, and then there is my duramax partol, I absolutely love there diversity

i am from India , and i can honestly say that the Nissan Jonga is pretty well known here. Great episode again. Now that the Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrol is done it only makes sense that the next vehicle be the Conquerer of the Dakar: Mitsubishi Pajero
