I do have the Ultimate9 throttle controller which is amazing. In my case being so heavy and with 35” tires the combination of the throttle controller and the tune gave me my power back.
I am running 33's and 5:29's now and I am super happy with the performance. What gains will I see with a tune. Its quick or the line and never seems to hunt for gears even in the mountains.
On my 4runner, when I brake hard, it tries to "help" and its some kind of "Feature" Toyota programmed in and it ends up braking harder than expected. I wonder if he could tune that out of it.

Have approximately 450 pounds added to stock load (bumpers, sliders, tonneau cover with Yakima rack system. The main reason for the gear change was a better performance in towing a off-road camper (4200lb dry) and live in the mountains of Colorado. When camping the added weight in the bed is about another 500-600 pounds.

So the yotawerx is a programmer that changes the values of the air and gas mix to give you more horsepower out of the engine and also changes your transmission shift points that makes the shifting smoother and tighter with my gear ratio. The pedal commander charges the timing of the pedal to the throttle body. With less input you get more pedal response to the throttle body. Or you can set it to less response when Offroad for less jerking at slow speed. I think that both are awesome but the YotaWerx is more impactful in performance.

Hello, your tune could absolutely include adjustments for tire size and gear ratios. In addition over the last several years, it's been demonstrated that tuning options available remain beneficial without apparent detriment to the vehicle, with several people putting several tens of thousands of miles on their trucks while tuned over the years. For example, our R&D 5th gen 4Runner has 60k+ tuned miles on it, and we first tuned it at approximately 215k miles on the odometer.
@@TheJourneyOverland we do not have a networked tuner in SLC, although we'd certainly like to get someone into the network out that way! We have a couple YW tuned guys with 4runners out there. All that said, I recommend reaching out to Mobile Antics, as they happen to have a brief trip out to SLC scheduled for next week.

PC vs tune is like comparing apples to oranges. The PC is not actually giving you any real low end torque or throttle enhancement. Rather it’s simply shortening the delay between pressing the pedal and getting acceleration. It doesn’t at all fix the shift points, which is the primary issue the Tacoma is known for. The YotaWerx tune is setup for your vehicle specs. Many of my customers ran PC and ditched it once they got tuned. Definitely something to consider.
Hey Tyler, MPG gains vary vehicle to vehicle and driver to driver. I don't sell the tunes on MPG gains, but I do have customers who have seen improvement in the 2-5 MPG range. As for warranty, any modification can void a warranty. But I have not personally heard of any owner having a warranty issue due to a tune.

Underpowered, overweight and not tuned 4wd with an AT transmission is like a crap. In a world where quality accessories for the vehicle is super expensive and hard to get, so does a qualified mechanic. It is best to drive a manual trans 4WD. Unlike America, everyone can drive a manual so it's not really a big deal of a challenge.
Crazy what these guys are charging to flash a tune now. I was flashed with a kdmaxxx tune for $150. No way would I spend $500 for a tune, this guys greedy.

i have 2021 4 runner and bought sprint boost and it works great. can turn it on when u need with press of button. i was shocked at how well it works
Your 4runner could absolutely still benefit from a tune. We don't just change throttle response like the Sprint Booster.

Was this the 91 octane or the 87 option? Trying to decide between the two options from Yotawerx for the WW.

Did you look at the change in shape of the torque curve? Torque was added to lower RPM, which is more useful than top of the RPM band.
And a loss of 14hp. 🤷🏻♂️

What year? We are working on tunes for the 2016+ 2.7L. Nothing planned for 2005-2015 2.7L.
