    Totally agree, the .300 blackout is an excellent choice for home defense gun as well as for vehicle use.

      @sawtoothtactical404  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yep. It's nice to have a round that performs so well out of a short barrel.

    The best home defense gun is the one you have and the one you train with.

    I don't wanna be that guy but if you use a NFA item in a self defense shooting it can EASILY be used against you in court.

    • @sawtoothtactical404
      @sawtoothtactical404  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I've heard that, but then what's the point in having NFA items? Just for fun at the range? I'd rather use the best tool for the job and be alive to fight in court, than be dead, I guess...

      @@sawtoothtactical404 OK I think this may be a state issue. If you put a dude in a grave with a KAC SBR with a suppressor in Tx, Id or FLorida you should be fine. But in Wa its gonna be headlines.

    I think a PCC in 9mm or 45 with an brace and a short barrel around 7 or 8 " is by far the best for home defence. And why i think that is becouse it is so easy to learn howe to use it well.

    • @sawtoothtactical404
      @sawtoothtactical404  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I absolutely LOVE my 8.3" 9mm PCC. I do think it's a great home defense option, as well as just being so much fun to shoot!

      I thought the same thing for a long time, but finally just went for it. As much as I don't believe in it, I wanted to be able to show my guns on my channel and have them be legal, but I also wanted to put stocks on them...

    Saint 9mm with Light/Laser with Underwood extreme defender ammo

    • @nickadkins7765

      Those are good rounds. HOWEVER, God forbid you have to use that in your house because they are moving so fast your ears are going to bleed (not literally, or atleast I don't think they would cause that). 😂 I carry Underwoods 9mm 124gr Nosler +p+ load in my P365X Macro or my G19/45. I've seen ballistic tests and they are NASSTTYYYY!!! They explode and will make a surgeons job a nightmare (assuming they survive). Highly recommend those man! Check em out!

    I do agree with you! That's why I just bought an 8.3" 300blk build from my LGS recently lol! Just gotta wait for my can to come in. In the meantime I'll be adding and changing a few small things on it

    Any video that says a Shotgun isn't a good self defense option can't be taken seriously. 7 rounds of Buckshot is more than enough. It would have been more respectful if you would have said a Shotgun isn't best for you. I personally would take a boomstick for indoors home defense over anything and everything you mentioned.

    • @sawtoothtactical404
      @sawtoothtactical404  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think a shotgun is GREAT for self defense. It's absolutely devastating, but I don't think it's the best gun for home defense. It's really long, has a ton of recoil, low capacity and generally needs to be pumped to reload every shot, unless you have a semi-auto shotgun, but those need specific ammo to run properly. I just think that most people will be able to handle a short-barreled AR-15 a lot more effectively.

    • @atumre4705
      @atumre4705 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sawtoothtactical404 Shotguns in the hands of a trained and confident person is a great home defense option. 7 rounds of Buckshot and what you have on your side saddle is more than enough. Even though I 100% disagree with your stance I still subbed.

    • @bluesteeltraining
      @bluesteeltraining 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I disagree with the shotgun statement as well. My pump action Mossberg 590s shockwave has only a 14 inch barrel, it will hold 8 mini shells loaded with buckshot. The mini shells have not much more recoil than my AR.
      It has a bird’s head grip and so is not even considered a shotgun by ATF standards. Its total length is about 26” and is always on the ready next to my bed.

    personally, i'll go for a Ar15 with 7.5" barrel in 556 with muzzle break, i want it so loud, very very loud as much as possible to create panic on the invaders and neighborhood, and someone will call any law enforcement that they hear multiple gunshots, it's a kill or be killed situation. nobody will care or will come to help if they didn't hear anything.

    • @sawtoothtactical404
      @sawtoothtactical404  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Have you ever shot something like that without hearing protection? I've forgotten to put hearing protection on and shot a 16" 5.56 with a brake and it was gnarly!

    • @contractor556
      @contractor556 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sawtoothtactical404holy shit right! I have a surefire brake , 16” 556 and at the range I use ear bud plus over the top muffs and I forgot to put my muffs over top in between checking the paper and holy fuck I was shell shocked. The concussion was insane (I feel like I already read and commented on this but months ago?) either way yea… I think a flash hider or can would be plenty loud especially out of a 7.5 but more manageable in terms of hearing/concussion

      You’ve obviously never fired a short barreled rifle without hearing protection at night without a suppressor . It will absolutely blind and make you deaf all at the same time . Not good when you’re fighting for your life

    Great Video. What trigger do you have for the Springfield 1911 and what caliber is it (9mm or .45) and what vendor did you purchase from? I am interested in this handgun.

    • @sawtoothtactical404
      @sawtoothtactical404  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have the Atlas medium flat trigger with the EGW ignition kit installed and tuned to 2.4 lbs. and crisp as can be. The Prodigy only comes in 9mm, which I absolutely love, because I get 20 rounds in a magazine and almost no recoil with the 8 lb. recoil spring and buffer. I got it from Guffy's Gun & Pawn, which is my local shop, but I can't remember where they ordered it from for me. I had the work done to it by Skips Gunz. Check out his TH-cam channel. He does amazing work on 2011s.
