I live in Northern Maine and here we don't have a police station for 5 towns around us. We are told by the town recognizing that the public shall have a means of self protection.
Am i correct when I say that cops can only clean up the mess and might catch the bad guy, how can they protect you if they aren't there when the incident occurs?
There are much better, more active legal groups that I would encourage you to look into. GOA (Gun Owners of America) and FPC Firearms Policy Coalition). They are suing more States than I can shake a stick at for enacting unconstitutional laws. The NRA lost my support a while ago with all their spending on lavish vacations and salaries, not to mention lack of legal action.
@@lowandslow3939 I left the NRA after seeing Wayne LaPierre in his safari hunt video and all the promotions that kept coming to me. So I joined GOA, and I gave money when they asked me, but then I learned that founder Larry Pratt, had spent time attending Nazi meetings several years ago so I dropped out and they have been asking me for money for the last 5 years.

I live in a rural county. We only have a county Sheriff. He does a good job but it may take him 45 min. to get to your home if he’s on the other side of the county. This makes the defense of my family my job. I think a lot of times anti gun folks don’t realize how rural America works when they try to implement restrictions.

Unfortunately the legal situation with suppressors in the US I think is absolutely disgusting. In a defensive situation in an enclosed space, they have real value in limiting how much one rings their own bell. They also make practicing at the range much more enjoyable (for everyone). It shouldn't require a $200 permission slip and months of waiting on the government.
Totally Agree, the Price of a Suppressor alone would be difficult for me. The $200 tax stamp is just a Slap in the Face. It's simply a "Safety" accessory. Not a "Murder Accelerater".
You can get a muzzle device that throws the sound forward. It won’t help with follow up shots and it’s definitely not a flash suppressor but it does help somewhat with the sounds at the trigger end. I’ve not tried this brand but it’s similar to mine. KAK INDUSTRY SLIM EXTENDED FLASH CAN it does make a difference not nearly as good as a suppressor but even 10db is huge.
Yes, recently started this process. It is a cumbersome, expensive and long process to acquire a decent suppressor legally. Pretty bad when you have European acquaintances says that the US process is insane.

A personal anecdote is that my house was being broken into via the patio sliding glass door. They trip the lock by smashing the glass and pushing in the glass to reach the door lock in less than 20 seconds. I heard the pounding as they beat the bottom of the door to get the wood pole in the floor slide and called the police. 45 minutes later, I called again to find out where they were and was told they went to the wrong address but were now outside on the sidewalk. I opened the front door, in my underwear, and sure enough four cops and a police dog were standing there motionless looking back at me! WTF! I waved at them, and they waved back to come out of the house while they went in. Standing by the police dog, who was eyeing me, in my underwear, when the cops came out and said the criminals were gone. No shit! Found out later that they were waiting to hear from dispatch to make sure MY gun was locked up in a safe. This is so stupid it is beyond belief.
First call is needed to at least let the Law Enforcement office know there is an armed intruder situation. Second call is to your lawyer after the situation is finished (in your favor). Third call is to let the LEOs know they might want to dispatch an ambulance or perhaps a coroner wagon.
You demonstrate, wisdom, knowledge, confidence in the subject matter. I salute you. As a former Army MP and 20 year civ LEO, I'm glad to read the comments of all those out there that "GET IT". Stay strong folks!

A police officer friend of mine once told me, "Police are there to pick up the bodies, fill out the paperwork, and ask questions...after the deed is done." Another officer friend who worked out at Atlanta Airport (before 911 - in the 1980's) told me that APD had a precinct at ATL International that was comprised of 7 officers, total. Yes, you want the best possibilities for an advantage. I had this discussion with two neighbor a while back. They asked why I thought I needed an AR-15. That was almost two years ago now. My how their views have changed!!! Now they want this "crazy" 28yr Army infantryman veteran to teach them. We started out on a Ruger 10/22. They both have AR-15s now. We are working on handguns now. We will get there. (yes, handguns are the more difficult tools to learn). Neither one had EVER fired a firearm when we started. Be positive, patient, and assist people when possible. There are now 2 more 2A supporters, less liberal, Americans waking up, seeing the light, and taking responsibility for their own safety. They will not be voting for dems they assure me. The upside is they do not see me as "crazy" now.

Don't forget a medical kit and the knowledge on how to use it. If you plan to be in a situation where 'making holes' is a possibility, one should have the capability to fix holes too!
Excellent presentation. Super great points that I agree with. The downside to the AR is the issue of court. If you use that for self defense, juries will be less sympathetic and often overcharge because it's a "scary" AR. If the unfortunate happens (and I pray that it never happens to anyone), you will likely face court. The use of a shotgun has a much better chance of working out for you with regards to avoiding jail time if you followed the laws of your state.
If you think of a pistol as a long range knife, they put holes in stuff but aren’t fast enough to make a permanent hydrostatic shock cavity, then you get an idea of their ability. It’s better than a knife as you can be separated from the target. Great video. Thank you.
Depends on handgun caliber, 45 win mag, 454, 460 are very effective, if it can drop a moose it will be EFFECTIVE and totally destroy internals, I personally like those calibers as I can load the same bullets in all 3 and use the same powder.
@@ghostshadow9046 those are big game killers as they can get through tough hide and possibly strike a vital organ. They don’t however cause hydrostatic shock, you need around 2000FPS when it hits the target, to get that affect. For humans I’ll take the speed as I don’t need to get through a tough hide, and none of those are getting through level IV armor. Although it would likely hurt like the dolmens. However, they are still a long range knife, Punching bigger holes than a 9mm. I’m not looking for a 1/2 inch cavity. I want a 6 inch cavity of shredded lungs.
At arms length I'd prefer a good knife over a pistol. A pistol will punch a hole. A knife will punch a hole, cut muscles, separate tendons, spill his guts on the floor, etc, etc. A pistol has only one danger spot, the end of the barrel, about a 1/2 inch wide. A 6" double edged blade has 12" of danger zone not counting the pommel. You also have much less risk for collateral damage.
@@dutchboy9273 Not everyone is trained in knife fighting technique much less maintain proficiency. If you live in a place where you don’t have the Second Amendment or can’t afford a gun then just say so. No same person chooses to bring a knife to a gunfight.
@@Frankie5Angels150 I think you meant "no sane person". Autocorrect is a b*tch. Actually if a choice is to be made take BOTH. There is a reason professionals carry a combat knife as well as their long gun and pistol. As for training and proficiency a knife does not require a huge amount of either, much less than a pistol. With a knife speed and aggression account for A LOT. Training does help. It is much harder to defeat a knife if the wielder keeps his strikes and stabs within the kill box instead of swinging wildly. Don't get me wrong, I am not dissing handguns. Having a CCW, if one is required in your State, is a top priority and you should ALWAYS have your tools with you.
There's some nuance that you are overlooking in the PCC vs shotgun for home defense. Some of us are older with worn out shoulders or small statured. At 66 years old my shotgun is now an eighteen inch 410 with buckshot which has limited capacity and slower reloads of the magazine compared to my PCC. My PCC like so many is 9mm with hollow points and much higher capacity with fast magazine reload. If there is an individual to defend against it doesn't matter. However if it is a group, I'd go with the PCC. Everyone who would shoot indoors for self protection should experience one round shot indoors without hearing protection. Just so we all know what to expect. It will ring your ears maybe for days. Yes, every shot we take, even in our own home, has the possibility of bystanders. I'm living in a small Iowa town where I can walk the streets safely. I know, I've walked almost daily since retiring. I';m up to about 1,100 miles a year. So this town is good for old people. It is also well armed. The town has about 2,000 households. There's probably 1,500 to 3,000 firearms and one to two million rounds in town. It is a quiet polite town. Many if not most firearms are in the hands of well trained people. The local gun club is inexpensive and has an accessible outdoor range. Within 25 minute drive we have three indoor ranges. Plus all the local landowners who let friends and family shoot on the back 40. An armed group of thugs would cause a problem, but would be put down like a rabid dog.
I’m glad you mentioned ammo at the end. The right ammo for the task is important, but, I don’t have a 45-70, I have a Marlin .444, and the ability to knock 3 or 4 targets at once can’t be underestimated, especially if they’re coming through a door at the same time😉👍😎
The level of delusion required to think that a 30shot 9mm PCC loaded with +P gold dots or HST is not capable of handling literally *any* home defense scenario is so far beyond my comprehension that I think I must've been transported to the twilight zone when I clicked on this video. You're talking about a super fast shooting, low blast 30 shot 357 magnum when you drive hot 9mm+P from a 16" barrel.
The typical wood framed American home provides concealment but not cover. If attackers surround your home with you inside it you as the defender have lost freedom of movement and attack initiative. Intel and community awareness is important because it allows the defender to engage the enemy at the street from the woodline. If bad guys stack my front door on my front porch and I can engage them from the treeline I maintain freedom of movement and the initiative. It is important to include the immediate area in which you plan to fight in the defense of your home, family and property. The best place to defend your home is from the wood line outside your home. Appalachia is a guerrilla war fighters dream. Appalachia has defensible terrain, a moderate climate, plentiful rainfall, lush mountain clearings besides rushing clean mountain streams and a naturally rebellious population. There are many reasons retired Green Berets and US Army Rangers choose to settle in Appalachia.
True, I am one of those "retired GBs" that chose to settle here in Appalachia 10 years ago. I have run into a few others that are Vietnam era GBs and have talked with a few of my generation( cold war and gwot) that were in process of relocating here.

A piece of advice. Nude or not, if you intend to defend your home from the inside (or even from the outside), I highly recommend you obtain and utilize some hearing protection, namely in the form of a suppressor. Capping off a round(s) inside your home will definitely impact your hearing. Even firing outside will be surprisingly loud.

I'm glad you mentioned ammo choice. Most people who are unfamiliar with guns don't realize the difference configurations of rifles the way we do as having roles. But even more so understanding how much ammo choice affects usage. Actually, ammo choice is really what determines what type of gun we'd purchase or use in a scenario, we just skip that step in the process of logic because we associate types of guns for a role, but it's because the bullet it shoots.
Yes you're right, most non gun-owners and worst even many gun-owners don't understand ballistics and the role of each firearm and calibers (pistols, carbine, semi-auto rifle, lever action, bolt action...) and they just think "I've got a firearm", you can't handle the same scenarios with 9mm pistol, a 30-30 irons sights lever action, a 30-06 scoped bolt action rifle or a .223 semi auto with a red dot...
Handguns are excellent for Peacetime Armed Self Protection. They are the Short Sword of our modern age. When Peace is put on Pause, and Rule of Law is thrown out of the window, you best be a little better armed, and hopefully on good terms with your neighbors.
Great video! I have been a shooter for over 70 years and been thru almost all of the weapons you have described plus a few more. As you pointed out over penitration should be cinsidered before you make the decision of what to arm yourself with. As the action happens you will not, and should not be thinking about these as things are happening. You should be aware of these problems but they are of lesser importance at that time.
I run a DD MK18 with a 10.3 barrel (registered SBR) with standard ball ammo and a suppressor for full spectrum defensive needs. I am not worried about overpenetration as most 5.56mm rounds tumble on impact (most FMJ rifle calibers do). If they do, the round will not normally sustain lethal velocity on exit. I agree with the author here, hitting the target is paramount.
Using 55 grain ball ammo in an SBR is ill advised. That round requires longer barrel lengths to tumble. They won't reliably tumble when shot from a 16" barrel. You should be using an expanding projectile.
Good information for someone like me who only came into contact with firearms during military service. Bad thing though... if you live in a country where criminals have guns, but the law following citizen is not allowed to own any ... except maybe a crossbow.

Good information, it is hard to beat 00 Buckshot from a 12 gauge in home defense. 👍 The only reservations I have about the AR15 is the report, they are so loud. I can't imagine a scenario where I grab the AR and hearing protection, but I can imagine the ringing ears for days after grabbing it and using it. And I live in rural Missouri, not likely to face a group of armed intruders, at least not in the near future.🤷♂ But if the need arises, I have a 300 AAC upper, and I can get a can for it, so I got options.👍
Why choose 300 blackout for armor? Are the not slower, with greater surface area ? Idk, I have to be real about my abilities. I am not able to stock up on top of the line tungsten bullets, and a 5.56×45 to the chest isn't something you walk through even with armor. It seems to me ninetysomething percent of self defense is speed. Outside that means packing in a way that your practiced drawing subsecond from. Inside it means camera system, possibly dogs, alarms, and plans.
@@abstractapproach634 I'm not really in that situation, everyone I encounter wearing body armor are police, I don't plan on shooting at them anytime soon. Different people face different threats. Good video. Thanks for making it. I agree with all your points. For the 12ga, The police low recoil OO buckshot with a Kick-Eez recoil pad will work well and is what I use for the shotgun. The low recoil load also give about a 12 inch pattern at 25 yards, which is 1/2 size from the full power load. I also have a side saddle and a shell belt with 40 rounds ammo. I can snap this on even if naked. For recoil sensitive people, the 9mm carbine is fine. From a 16 inch barrel the velocity will be a good bit better with the right load. The CorBon 115 gr loads goes 1515 fps and the Federal 9BPLE 115 gr +P+ loads goes 1480 fps. This is very close to the highly rated 357 Magnum load from a 4 inch barrel. My AR9mm has a double mag connector allowing 64 rounds to be easily carried.
With multiple thousands of military age males daily entering illegally from hostile nations like China and Middle East terror strongholds we would be seriously short sighted to fail to take into account the potential risk they present to average Americans.
Sir thank you for this video very very well done you kept it simple and and to the point, I actually learned something here I wish more people would consider their personal defense as well as their home defense because you have too many people thinking it can't happen to them.
Had home alarm go off and police response was 45 minutes after being dispatched, had to request twice. They advertise an average 4 min response time. When they arrived theg ran up with guns drawn, I told them if anything was wrong they were likely 30 min too late. I was frustrated and probably shouldn't have been a jerk about it.
I've been considering the Henry Homesteader for home defense for my wife because of the simple manual of arms, same safety as her mossberg 500 .410, and soft recoil. Also seems like a super big brother to the 10\22.

Im from Israel, Our country gun laws don't allow to carry anything more than a pistol (with any caliber you want). Thank you for talking about the crimes hamas did against civilians. All the videos talking about this subject need to understand that civillians in Israel can only carry a pistol, one single pistol! with 50/100 bullets allowed to possess at your house by law. So this is all you have to protect your loved ones (on top of that, only a small percentage of the population allow to carry, such as ex- military fighters and law enforcement) I wish we had the same gun laws you have in the US, Israel needs 2nd Amendment for different reasons (terror). I hope things will change after the war. Greetings from Israel, your friends in the Middle East 🇮🇱❤ 🇺🇸

In addition, we should also try voting and asking how we got in this mess. I don't mean 75% participation, I mean 100% participation. Small numbers of questioners are easily dispensed with, history shows. Vote and Ask in full numbers, pull everyone along. Thanks, this video helps with that.
I hope I never need to use my full auto 12 gauge, with it's 100 round magazine,, but if I do,, it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun... Especially if I'm naked.
Nicely done! One point of disagreement is on the value of the PCC. I think it's an excellent ballistic upgrade from the pistol for shooters of smaller stature . Low recoil and weight, Leading to More powerful and accurate rounds on target. It can also be broken down and concealed allowing you to have a rifle in public ready to engage at any time . Lastly it's a much cheaper round to practice with allowing for the development of rifle shooting skills
@@robertgoodrich8953‘pfft can’t stop the threat.” Pardon? Are you fighting Terminators? Xenomorphs? What exactly is your criteria? @@robertgoodrich8953if you have a sbr in 5.56 the velocity is greatly diminished. Look at the difference in energy in a short barrel. A 6” -8” barrel in a 5.56 makes it a 50-75 yd effective range gun, no different than a 9mm pcc with a lot less muzzle blast indoors.
Hello 👋 my friend thank you for sharing this informative video. Thank you also for not being political. You did a great job in presenting the information. Stay safe out there.
I never was a fan of shotguns until I heard your explanation just now. I always preferred my simple bolt action rifles. But hearing you actually explain why you prefer the choices you do really makes me think twice about them. I must admit your argument for a shotgun is extremely sound and you make extremely valid points. I may need to look into a 12 guage for my safe. Thanks for the video it is pretty excellent and you get right down to business without wasting time. 👍 From me.
Oh, as a side note I'm from Canada so we have some pretty tough laws right now for firearms. And one a lot of honest Canadian citizens don't like is our rules on self defense. I won't start a political argument here but I will say you guys n gals in the USA should be glad you live there and not here.
@curtwarkentin2887 beautiful thing about any shotgun is variety of ammo choices for different situations. Buck shot for close up and out to 30 yards, slugs turn it into a rifle and double its range. I would not use birdshot for home defense, but if duck hunting is your thing it's good.
I was plunking with buddies having this very same discussion. We were shooting old 5 gallon buckets. To make his point my buddy mag dumped on a bucket with his .45ACP pistol and said "See he's not getting up." (If the bucket were an intruder) Pointing out the 8 or so big holes in the bucket. I hit it with one shell of 000 Buck and the bucket exploded all over the range sending the sand in it flying everywhere. I said "See there, they'll never find all the pieces of him." The impact difference is mind blowing. A long rifle will disable an arm, a 12ga will take an arm off and toss it into the neighbor's yard.
Thank you for this video I like how you convey the self defense fundamentals in this particular times, how you talk to even the gun oposers There is so much more to say and teach, please go beyond, we regular citizens have a lot to continue learning for protection and law abiding concepts and rules Ty again
I would argue that if a mob of armed criminals descends on your community, the least of your worries should be a few stray projectiles from your .45-70, 450 Bushmaster, 458 SOCOM or 500 Automax. I'm quite certain that the armed criminals will manage 99% of the strays that rip through the houses around you.
yes. I think that if you have a WROL situation and a mob attacking you, overpenetration is less of a concern vs. surviving the encounter, it might even be a feature. but there are also situation when it would give you little additional benefit and greater liability (and less capacity), so your situation matters a lot in that conversation.
@@poindextersheelturn436 we have to load up like we are expecting a gang of anabolic steroid inflated sasquatches high on PCP to come busting through our front doors in the middle of the night
Great vid. I do know many gun folks - particularly the more experienced ones - tend to prefer the AR platform for home defense, but even though I keep AR-15s, I prefer the 12 gauge in that role. With traditional buttstock like yours in the video. Pistol grip w/o butt doesn't give the multiple points of contact that I feel is the most important advantage of a long arm. And either a composite or hardwood butt can have some value as, like you've called it, a melee weapon. I also like not having protruding grips or mag to catch or snag or otherwise impede motion as you're scrambling in CQB. I also like the ability to top off tube capacity easily, one at a time as rounds are depleted. And I'm really not expecting more than 2-3 assailants anyway (not impossible but unlikely). Certain shot loads can mitigate collateral damage within the neighborhood while being highly effective against human targets indoors. Finally, many modern tactical SGs can mount lights, lasers, or red dots too.
I also have chosen to go with a medium-range semi-auto rifle, but went with the 7.62x39 platform vs. 5.56mm NATO, but IMO, BOTH are solid choices (for whatever the reasons are). I expect ranges to be VERY close (no need for long-distance "sniper" shooting, but I DO have a bolt-action Remington in .270 Winchester for that IF ever required) so I probably won't need to reach out very far at all -- maybe across a parking lot at most. ;-) Also, I wanted something to be able to deal with hard targets better (even though I also have a Mossberg 590A1) if attackers are in cars/behind barricades -- or maybe wearing body-armor. My only "give up" is magazine-capacity as I have an SKS (3 of them, one of which is my truck-gun, very securely tethered, not just "hidden" under a seat!) with it's original 10-shot fixed/internal magazine vs. what an AK would have (30rds detachable mags). But that's the compromise I made for my situation for home defense. And if caught out & about if "stuff happens" I have a serious weapon to use (aside from my EDC handun, of course, that is ALWAYS on me). NOTE: I DO have a number of (proven reliable) 20rd SKS mags I can switch-out the factory/OEM 10rd mags with (Tapco mags for my Tapco stocked SKSs) -- if the situation is REALLY serious (a whole lot of attackers!) -- but presently I'm just using the 10rd ones (mainly for max reliability/compactness). I tend to PREFER milsurp weapons (Military Surplus, even if considered "obsolete") guns due to their extensive testing before being accepted, their battle-proven effectiveness & reliability...even milsurp handguns (such as the highly-reliable & potent Tokarev T-33). Yes, I agree: When the clueless/naive liberals say "No civilians "need" (!) a high-capacity 'assault rifle' that is only designed to kill a lot of people in a short period of time," as you said that's EXACTLY what you DO need if attacked by people armed with those very same weapons. Or a mob of violent unarmed burners/looters (we all know who). Can you imagine having one or more said clueless/naive and UNarmed liberals with you in a SHTF situation? They be COMPLETELY useless -- would be of NO help defending against attackers at all, just "dead weight" (literally). ;-) -- BR
What a great and informative video thank you so much. After witnessing what happened in Israel I just took out my riffle for home defense. I have the same 9 mm you showed God Bless you.
I just read a news story about a North Carolina man who attempted to defend his home from 3 attackers. They had handguns. He could not attack quickly enough with a pump shotgun and was shot and killed. Shotguns also are badly adapted for close quarters if they have a long barrel. I have the Keltec bullpup shotgun. I chose it because it would be hard to take away in close quarters, and with 2 seven round magazines I can switch between slugs and 00 buckshot. I also have two ARs in 5.56 and one in 6.5 Grendel. I think you really nailed this topic!
Thanks for your very timely video. I would add, however, that for those homeowners or apartment dwellers who are fortunate enough to be able to afford more expensive weaponry, that they look at 'long guns' specifically designed for CQB engagements, and in particular bullpup rifles and shotguns, since they are much shorter (basically, a tad longer than less effective 'short barreled' rifles and shotguns, since they have full length barrels) and ergonomically designed to be used from and within homes and other buildings. Just don't forget that hearing protection. Ironically, a few years back, I acquired several of these made by one of the world's top weapons designers and manufacturers, and also a major supplier to Israel's IDF: IWI or Israeli Weapons Industry (formerly Israel Military Industries Ltd.). Their Tavor line of bullpups include a 5.56 (the Tavor X95), a .308 (the Tavor 7) and a 15+1 12 gauge (the Tavor TS12). Each is battle tested and proven, and specifically designed for the type of multi-armed home attack/invasion you describe. Their only negative aspect (aside for the modest amount of retraining for those only used to AR-15s) is their cost, which is much higher than the cost of the weapons you featured here. But if you can afford them, it's money well spent to prepare for this worst case situation. Having the right tool for the situation is invaluable. And for a PCC that's a bit better and shorter than what you showed, I can't speak highly enough of the CZ Scorpion EVO 3. I went with the S1 micro with a collapsing stock (still legal with the right organizational memberships, but possibly no longer available from CZ). It's so small that I can carry it and one of the IWI bullpups for when being a Rambo becomes necessary.
I’ve had many neighbors ask me what they should have for home defense. I told them a shotgun. Next question was what ammo for it. They usually thought I would say buckshot and were surprised when I said a heavy birdshot. Then explained over penetration, liability, etc. I’m sure plenty of people will argue but knowing them as I did and knowing they would not invest in continual training it made the most sense.

Pistol caliber carbines are quieter than even a similarly chambered pistol. FAR quieter than a rifle or shotgun when fired indoors.
Claymores, you need well placed claymores...
Like on the border, invasion STOPPED!!!
Against multiple assailants you need a weapon that you could confidently declare: “Say hello to my little friend.” 😂

An extremely important video on a timely subject!!!
Amazing clarity and delivery of information. Thank you so much for your time and professionalism @The VSO Gun Channel!
Normalize carrying long guns in public!
Thanks for making a video for citizens that want to start equipping themselves. Not a lot of channels like to teach newbies.
This is why the 2A allows Americans to own grenades/launchers, RPGs, etc. (Despite what politicians might tell you.)

Good information for someone like me who only came into contact with firearms during military service. Bad thing though... if you live in a country where criminals have guns, but the law following citizen is not allowed to own any ... except maybe a crossbow.
But if the guy with the crossbow gets the drop on the guy with the gun, the guy with the crossbow now has a gun.

Good information, it is hard to beat 00 Buckshot from a 12 gauge in home defense. 👍
The only reservations I have about the AR15 is the report, they are so loud.

So this is all you have to protect your loved ones (on top of that, only a small percentage of the population allow to carry, such as ex- military fighters and law enforcement)
I wish we had the same gun laws you have in the US, Israel needs 2nd Amendment for different reasons (terror). I hope things will change after the war.

PCC can't stop the threat. It has the disadvantage of rifles without stopping power.

If a 9mm pistol as adequate to stop a threat a majority of the time in self defence situations, a PPC most certainty would too.
Unless your neighborhood is invaded by Tanks and APCs, arming yourself and your neighbors with 9mm carbines would serve well as a deterrence and effective Defence.

Ask the older folks why they had shotguns aka scatter guns, you're gonna get more than one,as with a single shot rifle!
Thank you for this video
I like how you convey the self defense fundamentals in this particular times, how you talk to even the gun oposers
There is so much more to say and teach, please go beyond, we regular citizens have a lot to continue learning for protection and law abiding concepts and rules

Thats doing to0 much, why not just you the .308 or is that considered a mouse round by the manly men of today?

I expect ranges to be VERY close (no need for long-distance "sniper" shooting, but I DO have a bolt-action Remington in .270 Winchester for that IF ever required) so I probably won't need to reach out very far at all -- maybe across a parking lot at most. ;-)
Also, I wanted something to be able to deal with hard targets better (even though I also have a Mossberg 590A1) if attackers are in cars/behind barricades -- or maybe wearing body-armor.
They be COMPLETELY useless -- would be of NO help defending against attackers at all, just "dead weight" (literally). ;-)

What a great and informative video thank you so much. After witnessing what happened in Israel I just took out my riffle for home defense. I have the same 9 mm you showed God Bless you.
If it ever gets real bad the cops are not coming to help you, the cops are going to be going home to protect their families.
I promise you that is correct. As much as I’d love to come help you, some oaths supersede others.
