The issue with a lot of these structures is that they’re kind of either a one time thing or lacking any sort of “completion” of them. Dungeons don’t exactly have an end unless you break the spawner, and you can’t exactly “re explore” a woodland mansion. With raids and trial chambers, the challenges have a beginning and end to them, and can be redone infinitely. I think if we’re gonna see more ominous effects on structures in the future, it’ll be through new structures akin to trial chambers.
Good that Bad Omen is now optional but now the funny new player trap is gone. Kill a weird aggressive villager and then immediately start a boss battle by accident at the nearest village
I saw this on the Minecraft Feedback Discord that suggested a Blood Moon. I penciled in where instead of making it a random event that was originally suggested, it will instead require having a Bad Omen while it is a Full Moon to trigger the Blood Moon Omen where new and harder mobs will spawn, and will drop exclusive loot during this event.
@enn1924 because it is a bad idea and I've played a mod that adds blood moons and how they work is you can't sleep during a blood moon and if mojang added blood moons and you can't even sleep at night that would suck
My perfectionist brain is incredibly happy that they’re streamlining this feature and making it more integrated with the rest of the game. My one critique though, is that vanquishing a Pillager Captain should still inflict you with Bad Omen automatically. Because it drops a bottle now, raids are made into a choice, which goes against their philosophy of making villagers less like objects and more “humane” (HUGE quotations btw).
I think they made it not activate immediately because they wanted to nerf raid farms which is understandable since they basically give immortality in their endless totems
You might be trying to say more "human", aka more realistic and feeling like real people live there. Because trust me, there is NOTHING humane about villages
One thing that would really let this idea take off is: what If structures like strongholds, nether fortresses, bastions, mansions, ect had trial spawners, this would not only allow for stuff like the stronghold to be actually challenging, but also all for the bad omen effects to be more prevalent and make it so you can actually visualize the changes happening to the structure.
@@masterofdoots5965 Great idea! I always wanted those to win anyways. The Hovering Inferno looks like they could rarely drop an exclusive helmet or something.
5:36 They should do this... And then make it so mobs effected with blindness can only navigate by sound, like the Warden (that way it actually has a use outside of multiplayer).
I think drinking an Ominous Bottle in a Nether Fortress should spawn a Wildfire from the pre-existing blaze spawners. This will add some optional challenge, and could even come in a smaller update, similarly to the Armadillo features.
They should just rework ALL structures (well... maybe not _all_ but you know what I mean) to use the new vaults and trial spawners. I could easily see Desert Temples having a Husk trial spawner.
Using the ominous bottle to allow netherite upgrades in multiplayer is a great idea! But i have a different idea, to make it useful both in single and multiplayer. Regular piglin brutes won't drop the upgrade, but, if you enter the bastion with bad omen, more piglin and piglin brutes would spawn, with the brutes holding a netherite axe in their offhand to distinguish them from normal piglins. The higher the bad omen effect, the higher the number of piglin that spawn, and can have potion effects or even armor. If you kill the piglin brutes, they will have a small chance to drop the upgrade (maybe higher with higher bad omen effects?). The idea is, with bad omen I-II you would only be able to get about one upgrade, with bad omen III, two and with bad omen V, about three or four. This way, we allow the upgrade to be gotten in multiplayer and offers and means that no-treasure bastions can be used to get the upgrade. And, it offers an alternative to mining diamonds for getting more upgrades. The idea is that bad omen allows you to get multiple upgrades, for players that prefer combat over mining. The numbers I proposed aren't definitive, they should be play-tested to make sure they're balanced.
I think that they could rework zombie sieges and even the removed nether reactor core with these ominous events! Like maybe if you go into a village at night with bad omen, a zombie siege would start, it would also give the unused zombie horses a giants a use!
Idea for the sand temple: Mojang should add a mummy boss that spawns when the player enters a sand temple with Bad Omen. (I don't know, maybe make some kind of trial spawner for it.) After killing the mummy, players will be richly rewarded.
Off topic but relating to your last Minecraft video for phantom the primary thing to change is there attack pattern/move set to make the combat more interesting. A face hugging attack would be good that does DOT/obscures vision/attacks as well making it easier to kill the phantom. Next priority would be to change spawning conditions, ideally to allow multi dimension spawning with their own variants (explosive dashes/teleporting face hugs) as well as underground. In addition change spawning to be afk friendly. Personally the presence of cats should negate the spawning above ~y0 would be the best fix but also making the timing be related to midnight/lunar cycle/going to more dangerous locations would be cool
btw with the new snapshot, maces can ONLY spawn in the ominous vaults. their spot in the trial vault haas been taken by tridents, which also makes them less grindy as you suggested
There are some things that I understand them no adding, and I know they have to code it. But they could make the game AWSOME if the added even a few of these comments sugestions. There was one that suggested a enchantment for goat horns that made nutruel mobs nearby fight for you for a limited amount of time. HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE?!
What if the illusioner dropped something called a magic cloak. You could apply a singular potion effect to it by dipping it in a full cauldron with that potion.
This is knda off topic, but I've had a really cool idea for the Ancient city portal where instead of going into the portal, something comes out of it, weither that would be enemies (Kind of like a raid) or a new boss and I think that the bad omen effect could tie into this in some way
The tridents should honestly come in Ominous Ocean Monuments, making them more renewable and the structures more useful, then using prismarine crystals to repair them.
Drinking the Ominous bottle at a Witch hut could spawn in a new mini boss, which could be a stronger witch or a creation of a witch (Sorcereress/Arch Witch/ Slime Experiment).
i think ominous withers being harder like they are on bedrock is a good idea. maybe they’d drop something extra cool like the nether reactor core, idk. maybe it could act like a nether biome in other dimensions within a certain radius which would let you have piglins in the overworld
The desert well could actually have an ominous variant. A fleet of pillargers and possibly a ravenger that are all dehydrated will spawn (have paler skin and are weaker and loot tables aren't as good but can drop waterskins)
Bad Omen making more mobs spawn around you and with tougher armor would honestly fit so good. It would actually give a reason to have the effect on you during gameplay if you wanted to go hunting for drops, increase the rate of your mob grinders, or just have an extra challenge. Maybe you could even use a fermented spider eye on the ominous potion to make it a luck potion.
here’s a fun one I came up with: walking into a badlands mineshaft will activate a new omen effect that spawns *the creature.* while under the omen’s effects certain patches of what used to be regular stone would turn into various precious ores (mostly gold but there could be other things, maybe something entirely new too?
I love all of the new unique particular effects, it's so cool that the esthetics of minecraft are being improved with stuff like the new armor trims and stuff as well.
6:34 It's worth noting that tridents now spawn in Trial Chamber loot with the same odds as the heavy core (but specifically only in non-ominous vaults and regular chests). This is basically the main reward here for players who don't want to do the ominous challenge.
Here's some ideas for loot in structures while you have the bad omen: a weapon that you can get in a dungeon called daggers, a weapon that can be obtained in the desert temple called The Sacrificial Blade, a new type of ender pearl that is dropped by shulkers in the end city, a brand new enchantment that can only be found in the ocean monument called gaurdian eye, and finally a new material only obtained in the ancient city which can upgrade netherrite
Funny story about raids. Me and my friends have a server. We had an enchanting table pretty early on, so early that we didn't have a lot of lapis. Because of this, i grabbed a villager that would trade rotten flesh for lapis, took it to our base, then made the house set up. A day or so latee, my friend didnt know and came back with the bad omen effect and yeah. Our base got raided and he had to fight back all the illagers himself. Ill kinda miss the bad omen via killing Captain illager because it made stuff like that pretty fun
Before I say anything I lost it finding out vivilly is your brother! I love his content so much like his co op vids with horror mods he’s doing with palpers rn! {also he’s a loser} Now back to my thoughts, I love your ideas on how to further integrate the ominous bottle into the game like using it to enter the ancient city portal! I wish minecraft would use these ideas 🙏🏻 I love your MC videos so much because not only are they really entertaining the humor you put into them always has me dying! 🤣
11:00 With all the focus on piglins in Minceraft Legends I feel like they already have a solid groundwork for a piglin boss for the ominous bastion event. Funnily enough, with the Poisonous Potato update we've seen how well the treasure bastions can work as a boss arena, though the lava might be a bit much depending on the dofficulty of the boss
Ok, so I have an idea for the jungle temple, the nether fortress, ocean monuments, and end cities. For the jungle temple, they could add the Great Hunger from the first mob vote. It could give a status effect to disable enchantments for a small period of time and burrow through the ground to attack the player. It could drop an armor trim or a new item. An idea I have is something along the lines of its tooth or scale that can be used in a smiting table for swords to give it the status effect on hit (maybe a percent chance?). This could also be used in the fletching table to give this effect to a stack of arrows (along with making potion tip arrows with potions). It could also be used in a brewing stand for potions. Finally, it could cause more hostile mobs (like jungle skeletons that inflict poison on shot?) in the area. For the nether fortress, they could add the Wildfire. It would be able to work similar to how it works in Minecraft Dungeons. You would have to destroy the shields (at least one to hit the main body) to damage it, with a broken texture to show the damage amount on each shield. When knocked to low health, they could summon some blazes and begin to retreat to a place outside of the players view (like a wall). It wouldn't run far because that would be annoying. It would also have a shockwave attack to knock back the player without damaging them. It could drop an ash or flame armor trim that adds a fire aesthetic to the armor trims. It could also drop something that could upgrade shields, giving them fire aspect thorns. For the ocean monuments, it could not only do the stuff said in the video, but also add the Barnacle. It could pull the player towards it to deal massive damage, causing a bleed effect. It would move decently quickly and be able to either give the player the luminescence effect, allowing hostile mobs to have a higher range of agro, and the inked effect, causing slow and slight screen block (not too much to be a pain to fight). When it is active, all squids and glow squids would become agro to the player as well, causing the effects listed depending on the squid type (glow would cause luminescence and normal would cause inked). It could drop an item (like its freakish tongue) that could be used to make a harpoon, which would work like a mix between a fishing rod and crossbow. The effects would also be able to be made with glowing ink sacs and normal ink sacs. (Also glowing ink sacs could be used on armor trims to make them glow). Finally, for the end cities, it could add the Night Terror. This would be a much bigger phantom in design, with more end design features. It could be able to shoot the same projectiles as the shulkers, teleport, and swoop down to attack the player. It would spawn outside, and it would give the fearful status effect. When given to a player, they would automatically become slower around hostile mobs or provoked neutral mobs. When given to mobs, they will run from all entities, and if a mob is scared of certain mobs, it will run faster from them. The Night Terror would also spawn cloakers when at half health. They work like phantoms, except they give the fearful effect on hit and spawn in the end. (They can spawn naturally when you haven't slept for 5 days, in the end, and have killed the ender dragon. The Night Terror could drop elytras, to make them more available to multiplayer, and an item (like their wings) that can upgrade elytras. It would make them deal less damage to running into objects and give better speed boosts when using fireworks. They could also drop the phantom armor trim, which would give a look similar to the phantom's wings to the armor. (Also phantoms would only spawn after 5 days of no sleep instead of 3). Sorry for this being long, but I hope people enjoy my ideas, as I wanted there to be more of the mob vote mobs added to the game, and cooler, more enjoyable phantoms. (Edit: One smaller idea is they could make fermented spider eyes make the blindness potion because it would make sense. Its a messed up eye and it would give it a potion it doesn't need another one for. I would suggest using it on the night vision instead, but invisibility exists)
@@egon3705yeah, the guy that made the aether mod works at mojang and he added it in and all the mobs and structures are the ones in the base game but with green and brown textures lol
Here is my idea to make the witch's hut a crazy, fun adventure under bad omen. When you enter the witch's hut with the bad omen effect, the witch will become much stronger, have tons of health, and it will have more potions to fight with, every hit will make the witch drop end city/ bastion tier level loot. If you defeat the witch, great you keep all the loot and nothing happens. But if you get hit with a weakness AND blindness potion, you will instantly pass out and be transported to the Witch's Basement. Here the witch puts a random positive effect on you (could be jump boost, regeneration, golden hearts, etc.) And the witch will put you through different challenges that drop end city/bastion tier loot every time you complete the challenge. The challenges are based on the effect you have; you wont fight a warden with haste. Theres 3 challenges with different difficulties, if you die in any of the challenges you lose all your exp, respawn where you last set ur spawn but you keep everything you had. If you complete all 3 challenges, you get the chance to re-fight the witch at the end except you now have your special ability. If you defeat the witch it wont die but will simply open the basement and allow you to leave. Once you leave the basement will despawn and become regular cave generation and the witch's hut will become dormant. Most important part is that you keep your new ability forever until you die. Extremely overpowered but it will be hard to obtain but worth the trouble. When fighting the witch with bad omen it will become more of an evolker but stronger, it will be able to fly, throw lingering potions, summon zombies, skeletons, etc. or throw cobwebs at you, make the cat hostile, etc. so it wont just be a buffed witch.
Every time I hear the word "change" when I've been playing something for over half a year I'm just practically dying knowing that the interface or sorting system will change by one pixel and ruin my memory
Ominous Potion effects for more structures: End City: Entering the city with the potion effect spawns a new boss, known as a Shulker Monarch. This boss is able to levitate under its own power, and will shoot stronger shulker homing missiles at the player. The fact that it floats in the sky forces the player to either shoot at it or use an elytra/levitation to swing at it. Upon death, it drops a Shulker Monarch Shell, which can be crafted into a double shulker box (same space as a double chest). It also drops Shulker Bullets, which act as regular shulker missiles but arent homing and can be shot from crossbows. Nether Fortress: Entering the fortress with the bad omen effect withers the entire fortress. All mobs spawning in the fortress have a chance to inflict the wither effect, and wither skeletons in particular deal extra damage and can move much faster, however they also have a higher chance of dropping skulls. There's also a small chance for a mob to drop a wither rose. Jungle Temple: Entering the temple with the effect makes it so that a large portion of the blocks here are now infested with silverfish. Additionally, players who ignore this and choose to mine the walls by the lever puzzle specifically will spawn a Silverfish Mother, a larger variant that deals more damage and inflict the weakness effect. Killing a Silverfish Mother has a rare chance to drop infested blocks, allowing them to be obtainable. Desert Well: The well seems ordinary at first, however attempting to collect the water source in the center will spawn 3-5 baby husks on skeleton horses around the well. Defeating them all will drop an enchanted book in the middle of the well with the Resilient Stomach armor enchantment, which lowers the amount of hunger points lost from activities. Igloo: Approaching an igloo with the effect will spawn a Frost Witch. These hostile minibosses act like regular witches, however they have more health and will often splash a Potion of Frost, which decrease walking, jumping, and attack speed, while also disabling sprinting. Killing them drops standard witch drops as well as 1-2 Icy Warts, which can be used to craft Potions of Frost.

9:00 I think for ancient cities, it would be really really cool to finally introduce some kind of cryptography or cypher code like puzzle game which players would have to explore the ruins and maybe have to do archeology to obtain and then actually think about it and solve the code maybe using hints from around the city. Maybe these could be riddles Or math or lore or something to do with Minecraft, maybe require pottery shards or smithing templates or banner patterns or something cool that would require the player to interact with a named item in a way that is new and gives it more meaning. Like what if the cypher used pottery shards and was randomized or what if there were new treasure maps…
I know the perfect name for the update. Minecraft We made slime farms a billion times easier. Also we made the mace stronger cause screw you (insert gmod jumpscare)
As a trail ruins fan, I am completely utterly extremely crushed that you did not mention in the slightest the beasts' potential. (basically makes ancient mobs spawners generate and better loot is what i'm thinking)
Ideas. Drinking the potion at night in a village will cause a zombie raid to start. If the sun comes up then the zombies will go away until the next night. Drinking it in a thunderstorm will cause a skeleton raid to start. Drinking it in the nether and then going to a village in the overworld will cause a nether raid to start like in Minecraft Legends.
I feel like for the Bastion trial spawners should be added as well with piglins, brutes, hoglins (for stables) and magma cubes (for the treasure bastion maybe but that would remove regular magma cube spawners) They would normally give golden carrots/apples/ingots or a bastion key that unlocks new vaults (they don’t replace all of the chests though and they have better loot than the chests) When ominous, brutes and piglins would spawn with gold, and netherite armor with gold, netherite, or quartz snout trims. Hoglins would have more knockback that even affects netherite armor. For the projectiles they could add an scorching effect which would be oozing but with magma cubes, something similar to webbing but with fire/soul fire, fireballs, strength, and maybe fire resistance that doesn’t apply to the players. The ominous version qould drop the golden carrots/apples (more than the normal one), a gold block, or the ominous bastion key The ominous bastion spawner keys would unlock the treasure vaults which would just have the current loot but harder to obtain as well as possibly having them for each bastion but with different loot. The treasure bastion would be the only one to guarantee the netherite template, but the other ominous vaults would have like a 50% chance
The best part is that this actually isn’t the last major update they said they would be doing, it’s probably in like the last 3 but they haven’t confirmed this is the last one yet.
I’d love if in say jungle temples you were given a key at the end of a small maze to unlock a new labyrinth structure and you must navigate through it to find a massive loot room and if you still have bad omen when in the labyrinth there will be a boss mob that could drop like a key to open a side area in the loot room for more things or maybe an exclusive item
Would be cool if bad omen also turned mobs into special varients with unique behaviors too in said structures, like turning the brute in a version that charges at you with a sheild for example or make wither skeletons have bows, etc. Said varients dropping special loot too.
I think that the Bad omen should make ancient cities harder by making it spawn an 3 Ominous wardens, which can break through blocks and has better sense of smell. You have to lead each to the main portal, which absorbs each of them. Once all three are absorbed, An Echo Crystal is given, which can be used to rewind your position for the last 5 seconds (can be used if you fall to return back)
Since there's obvious beef between Piglins and Wither Skeletons how about a Raid for each but rather instead of Pillagers, for Bastions Wither Skeletons will invade the Bations and for the Neather Fortress Piglins will invade.
For the ocean monument i think a cool idea is that it would legit trap you inside it until you kill the elders gardions, this structure thing is a challenge that you have to go in and out so you dont drown, traping the player in it would up the tension

Soul Snatch
The final enchantment for the scythe. This incredibly powerful enchantment allows the player to steal the souls of mobs they kill. Incompatible with the Reap enchantment, a mob killed with the Soul Snatch enchantment won’t drop anything (including experience) except its soul. Mob souls can then be used in a brewing stand to create special potions that allow players to transform into their desired mob. This enchantment only has 1 level.

@@davialmeida4442 Definitely. I’m partially coping because my raid farm got slightly more tedious to manage.

I like watching videos that discuss concepts for games. You make them very well and have some good ideas!
(I don't know, maybe make some kind of trial spawner for it.) After killing the mummy, players will be richly rewarded.
the portal in the ancient city should lead you to the poisonous potato dimension

If mojang didn’t ignore 80% of our suggestions Minecraft would be much better
There are some things that I understand them no adding, and I know they have to code it. But they could make the game AWSOME if the added even a few of these comments sugestions. There was one that suggested a enchantment for goat horns that made nutruel mobs nearby fight for you for a limited amount of time. HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE?!
The community is so massive they can’t add everything we want the minute we want it
What if the illusioner dropped something called a magic cloak. You could apply a singular potion effect to it by dipping it in a full cauldron with that potion.
This is knda off topic, but I've had a really cool idea for the Ancient city portal where instead of going into the portal, something comes out of it, weither that would be enemies (Kind of like a raid) or a new boss and I think that the bad omen effect could tie into this in some way
I'm sure everyone has one question: how would it affect the brick pyramid!?
Dude we’re SO CLOSE to 200k, let’s keep pushing
The tridents should honestly come in Ominous Ocean Monuments, making them more renewable and the structures more useful, then using prismarine crystals to repair them.
i love building brown bricks in minecrap
Thank you Odyssey Central's brother

ODYSSEY CENTRAL AT 199K! THE 2D MARIO RANKING IS ALMOST HERE
Ominous bottle + desert well= killer bunny
Drinking the Ominous bottle at a Witch hut could spawn in a new mini boss, which could be a stronger witch or a creation of a witch (Sorcereress/Arch Witch/ Slime Experiment).
i think ominous withers being harder like they are on bedrock is a good idea. maybe they’d drop something extra cool like the nether reactor core, idk. maybe it could act like a nether biome in other dimensions within a certain radius which would let you have piglins in the overworld
3:02 Best bet? Aren't ominous vaults the *only* way to get a heavy core?
The desert well could actually have an ominous variant. A fleet of pillargers and possibly a ravenger that are all dehydrated will spawn (have paler skin and are weaker and loot tables aren't as good but can drop waterskins)
Small thing, we got a unique bottle for the ominous potion. Why not for the other potions?
I believe awhile ago I did hear some discussions for this? I’m guessing it’d take a lot of effort with all the splash and lingering variants though
we probably got a unique bottle because it's not like a regular potion. it can stack
He's almost at 200K at the time of this video's release, get excited y'all 😆
here’s a fun one I came up with: walking into a badlands mineshaft will activate a new omen effect that spawns *the creature.* while under the omen’s effects certain patches of what used to be regular stone would turn into various precious ores (mostly gold but there could be other things, maybe something entirely new too?
Over all however this is a w update ESPECIALLY for bedrock edition players no matter what we can say that this will be expanded upon in 1.22 hopefully
I love all of the new unique particular effects, it's so cool that the esthetics of minecraft are being improved with stuff like the new armor trims and stuff as well.

I honestly love the ominous potion and I think it has one of the greatest textures
6:34 It's worth noting that tridents now spawn in Trial Chamber loot with the same odds as the heavy core (but specifically only in non-ominous vaults and regular chests). This is basically the main reward here for players who don't want to do the ominous challenge.
Hey dude! So close to 200K Subs! Wish you the best!
Hey trident related thing, vaults now drop them instead of a heavy core(and it's more than a 2 percent chance, not THAT rare)
Nvm someone already said it
Pigstep in the bastion, good detail.
Nah bro did the desert wells dirty 💀
The Nether Fossil could actually see some terrifying monster rising from the dead which would be pretty cool
OMINOUSER THAN ME
Congrats on 200k subscribers!!!

Now back to my thoughts, I love your ideas on how to further integrate the ominous bottle into the game like using it to enter the ancient city portal!
"nooooo we can't add all three mobs"😢

My guy, you went from a Mario maker channel, to a Minecraft channel. Respect

Ominous Potion effects for more structures:
End City: Entering the city with the potion effect spawns a new boss, known as a Shulker Monarch.

Maybe these could be riddles
Or math or lore or something to do with Minecraft, maybe require pottery shards or smithing templates or banner patterns or something cool that would require the player to interact with a named item in a way that is new and gives it more meaning. Like what if the cypher used pottery shards and was randomized or what if there were new treasure maps…
Also if this was some new kind of redstone block that allowed players to do cryptography it would be sick

3:18 It's-a 𝓢𝓟𝓞𝓞𝓚𝓨 particle effect!
I feel like for the Bastion trial spawners should be added as well with piglins, brutes, hoglins (for stables) and magma cubes (for the treasure bastion maybe but that would remove regular magma cube spawners)
They would normally give golden carrots/apples/ingots or a bastion key that unlocks new vaults (they don’t replace all of the chests though and they have better loot than the chests)
When ominous, brutes and piglins would spawn with gold, and netherite armor with gold, netherite, or quartz snout trims. Hoglins would have more knockback that even affects netherite armor. For the projectiles they could add an scorching effect which would be oozing but with magma cubes, something similar to webbing but with fire/soul fire, fireballs, strength, and maybe fire resistance that doesn’t apply to the players.
The ominous version qould drop the golden carrots/apples (more than the normal one), a gold block, or the ominous bastion key
The ominous bastion spawner keys would unlock the treasure vaults which would just have the current loot but harder to obtain as well as possibly having them for each bastion but with different loot. The treasure bastion would be the only one to guarantee the netherite template, but the other ominous vaults would have like a 50% chance
One idea I had for Ancient cities is buffing the loot but lowering the amount of shrieker charges you get from 4 to 2
For the ancient cities, these blocks should be skulk eyes that allow the warden to see you clearly when in the block's line of sight.

So how are people gonna get 'how did we get here' with these new effects? (Raid omen and Trial omen)
