Rigging Lures for Sharks - Fishing Tip #1

In this fishing tip video, Josh explains how to properly rig a lure for shark fishing. You will need to replace the treble hooks with a single J-Hook. You will need a 4ft piece of single strand wire. Tie one end to the lure and the other end to a 150+lb swivel. Always check your line for frays!

Can someone help me please ? I am from the miami area and i have really been wanting to catch tarpon but i do not know what gear to use ? like what rod and reel should i buy dont want to spend no more then $450 and then aside from that line, leader, hooks, bait and jigs things like that that would help me catch tarpon

Good video. Although I like the idea of a single hook for shark lure fishing, isn't it still okay to use trebles? As far as I can tell from the FWC website, it says no multiple hooks for natural baits. Since they clarified this, seems like you would be fine for lures. But I am by no means the expert here.

How can I attach a j hook to the back of the gibbs canal special if it doesn't have a split ring to get the treble hook off?
