    Does the titanium leader presentation work well with lures for fishing from jetties, like a 40lb braid main line to swivel to titanium leader (45lb -18-24 inches) to lure with attachments (sleeve/loops) like you did with live rig??? Great video by the way, informative and to the point !!

    When sitting stationary do you keep feeding line so your live bait can swim wherever or is there a certain amount of line you give it

    How big of a tuna can you catch on this setup? And can you use braid in these applications since you can hold more line and heavier pound test?

    At 1:24 you nearly lost a finger or got a serious bleeder my friend. I use a homemade hook remover about 1 foot long made of a piece of old stainless steel throttle cable inner, bent in a sharp 1-1/2" U at the de-hooker end and passed through and twisted off a hole in the middle of a 4" piece of 1/2" PVC pipe; works fine and keeps those sharp teeth from spoiling My day. Tight Lines All. Great Vid.

    From the double line to 40lb. Fluoro, you use an Albright knot. But for the fluoro to wire kingfish rig, what was the knot or other connection method?

      @FloridaSportFishing  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      dertyhairy1 Connect the 40 fluoro leader to the titanium kingfish/stinger rig by tying an improved clinch knot to the the tiny power swivel at the top of the rig. - Capt Mike

    how are you attaching the flouro to the titanium/wire

    • @jpegs_with_jason

      Better yet let me ask this, I see the swivel there. how do you attach the titanium to the swivel?

      Jason Luongo With 45 lb titanium, use a tiny #2 crimp, make sure to weave tag end through loop three times before crimping. Detailed video on the process coming out soon.....thanks for watching. - Capt Mike

    Alot of the time when it's really windy and you're kiting you absolutely need to use weights to keep the baits down.

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      06theespada You are 100% correct, 1/4 to 1.0 oz. eggs above the swivel/below the float will certainly help keep baits where they should be when the wind is honking. Another thing you can do is rig STOPS directly on the kite line by half hitching wax rigging floss to prevent the clips from sliding up the kite line. Thanks again for watching. - Capt Mike

    Do you use these same rigs for trolling as well?

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ewestergren730 We do, when we are slow trolling live goggle eyes or blue runners.- Thanks for watching. - Capt Mike

    How far out do you guys go out when fishing for these species of fish

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      sebastian dzialowski We generally fish the "edge" in 80-280 feet which is only one to two miles off the beach, sometimes we run way north or south, but its always close to shore. Thanks for watching. - Capt Mike

    How long is the wire leader? I keep getting tail whipped

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on bait, with goggle eyes when targeting king mackerel and wahoo, about 18-24 inches, with pilchards, 10-12 inches.
